《Voiceless Wanderer》Chapter 3

So after a while of walking and occasionally replying to window goddess when she checked in on me… apparently I pissed her off… (Was what I intended. I don’t like people all up in my mind) I literally stumbled upon a gate of some sort. It seems that the dead clockwork formed a corroded dome around it and my weight caused it to break.
Like all sane people would do when presented with an ominous gate… I opened it… luckily window goddess wasn’t here to say anything about it. Inside it was… a bunch of dead clockwork however unlike their brethren on the surface they didn’t have any rust. However when I checked their motherboard it was falling apart…
Then I remembered the other clockwork that I fixed up… SHIT! I turn around and lo and behold there they are! Salvaging from the clockwork outside. A few tried to talk to me but due to my unresponsiveness they soon gave it up. Sigh… oh well, I look around my menu for a help screen… after a few searches I found the messenger system and sent them a massage.
Hey, sorry for not responding earlier, I lack a voice box…
A few are startled and one comes up and says in a broken voice “glad to see you can understand us, we thought you were one of the servants… they aren’t sentient…”
Ohhh ok, also I am gunna explore this place, it seems dangerous so I would recommend that you stay here because my body seems better than yours.
It responds with an ok, and I examine the weapons that are on the floor of the cave near the bodies.
They seem to be some sort of crossbow… I have an itch that do indeed scratch and completely dismantle one of the 7 intact crossbows, the others are smashed so I ask the others to take them apart. As I take it apart I gain a skill
Advertisement
Dismantle (common) Beginner 5 (75/100)
Able to take things apart to learn structure.
15% chance of keeping parts intact
Cool, anyways the crossbow seems to be powered by a crystal of some sort… I scan it and a notification pops up
Mana Crystal (common) (100/100)
A crystalized piece of mana holds 100 mana and recharges 1 mana per hour
WOW! I reassemble the crossbow and my repair levels up cool, let’s scan it.
Clockwork Mana Crossbow (Uncommon) (361/600 durability)
This crossbow fires bolts of mana. The crossbow also speeds up the recharging of the mana crystal inside to 1 mana per min. also folds up into a compact form
Sweet! But first I need help transferring over to a new body… I grab one of the clockwork and have him transfer me to a new body.
I also help them transfer to better bodies as well. Now they look shinier and lost all the rust. I gained a new body too but as soon as my consciousness was put in it seems that I spat out the voice box and my face reconfigured itself to seal the mouth, Sigh. Oh well, there goes learning how to talk…
Well anyways, time to explore!
Stats: (how do you do the new stat window thing?)

Keys of the Endpoint
Keys of the Endpoint is an illustrated web serial about the re-birth of civilization in a fantastical world suffering from a recent apocalyptic event. Every day, people appear from the storms that ravage the Endpoint. Whisked away from their own time and place by storms in their homelands, these newcomers find themselves in a hostile place made up of ruins and people from every timeline imaginable. Stranger still, they all soon discover they're carrying silver keys that grant each holder incredible powers. On Earth, most people have mundane excuses for the disappearances, but not Isaac. Having lost his brother Finn to one of these storms, Isaac becomes obsessed with finding a pattern. Not to prevent more people disappearing, but rather to get taken by the storms himself in order to find his brother. While chasing Finn’s faint trail, Isaac soon discovers how little he really knew about himself, his brother and how much loss one person can take. In Keys of the Endpoint there's portal fantasy, personal drama, magic (useable by everyone), plenty of combat, power progression, mysteries, factions, feuds and eventually war (in that order). The magic system is well defined and modular with nigh infinite combinations. The story starts out with one of the two main characters looking for his lost brother but quickly expands in scope from that point on. Breaking Horizons: Book 1: Snared Origins
Many want to learn things from a story, while others only want fast-paced wonders. We are human and we like to dream, we are alive and we want to feel. Don’t wander outside before knowing the inside. Even if this is slow, it gives you the reader, things to behold. This is a story but also knowledge. It isn’t fast or entertaining but makes you wonder. Everything starts from something unknown, we all want to know the untold. However, can you persevere if something starts being boring? Shouldn’t entertainment start from something unexciting? Open a door to what you might know or not. Learn to dream in my unhealthy abode. Start from the garbage since that’s the place where I belong. Welcome to Raccoon’s abode. Breaking Horizons: Breaching the Fourth Dimension. A slow story that will take you on a ride towards the unknown. PS: Will make things clear here. The actual main character is a human, the raccoon is a pet for the novel. So it isn't a raccoon Isekai or reincarnation as a raccoon. I still haven't added it to the story, as I am currently doing the intro. A long intro! So the start might feel off when you read it. The story will include many genres but starts with psychological stuff and low fantasy. The whole story is an enormous puzzle, but it starts with a tiresome beginning for many. There is a reason for that... If you want to know more about this story check my discord: https://discord.gg/rZs6mem You can ask what you want to know there. Or join a bigger and cooler server where many authors hang out: https://discord.gg/2hbvq8B (Its dungeon engineer and many cool stories' server) This is my own story, so its for me only. I will not have a schedule. I left it on hiatus for a while, can't write two stories, too busy.
