《The Celestial Venture》Chapter 3 - Europa Departing

"Celestial Dragon?" Tae-Qi'wa repeated, before glancing over at Twy'la in confusion, and then back to Kree "You came to hear about a kids tale? Well, if you know about it, then it means you already heard what it is! So just go now. Leave!"
Twy'la looked confused for a moment, not understanding either, but as she recalled something Kree said earlier, she glanced at the winged individual. One of a kind in her race, and with wings resembling that of a dragon.
Kree folded her arms "Maybe, but I reckon there is more I could learn. I don't suppose I could ask to talk more with Twy'la before heading off? Please?" She asked, trying to be somewhat polite and also get Twy'la away from there, but her patience towards all the people who were apparently mistreating Twy'la was wearing thin.
"No! Absolutely not! I still have a few more words to give to her! So begone! You are no longer welcome in our city! And I'll pass word to the other cities, and then you can consider yourself banned from the planet!" Tae-Qi'wa stated, loud and clear, with as much authority as he could, before looking at the soldiers
"Take the visitor back to their spaceship!" he called out.
Watching as the soldiers approached her from the sides, Kree just offered an apologetic look to Twy'la, before walking outside the mayor's apartment. As they started passing the bridge, shouts from within the apartment could be heard, which only grew louder. Stopping in her tracks, Kree turned to look at the three soldiers "That's fine with you three? That one of your own is basically getting told off for trying to do her role?"
The two blue Cosmos soldiers just remained silent, while Dai-Ra'yl shook his head "It is as the mayor said. You do not understand our laws. And the mayor is at the top. The angel should've understood her place and acted properly, not as if she could just stroll in with an alien and conduct her own research in comfort just because she could."
"Then maybe you could consider finding a compromise where she could have a place closer to the outside, not in the middle of the city? Because it was getting cold near my ship. Unless you would want visitors to freeze while they get inspected?" Kree retorted.
None of the soldiers bothered responding now, simply looking at Kree. That made it even more abundantly clear thing were wrong here with their laws, but no one dared speak up. Before they continued, the mayor's apartment door opened, and Twy'la stepped outside, with a furious Tae-Qi'wa following.
"Fine then! You want to be like that, then you are banned from ever returning here alongside that winged freak! No one ever liked you here anyway, you Jr'ta!"
Hearing the name thrown, all the soldiers looked shocked, with Dai-Ra'yl even turning to stare at the mayor in disapproval.

Twy'la came and stopped by Kree "I hope that ship of yours have enough space for two, Kree'aria of Re'eva. I need to get out of this place and away from these Fre'qa as fast as possible." she said, making the mayor appear even more furious, before he turned and slammed the apartment door behind him. The soldiers, in the meanwhile, were now staring at Twy'la.
Nodding, Kree wrapped an arm around Twy'la's back "That's the exit tunnel, right?" she pointed to one of the bigger and higher tunnels in the crevice "And you might want to hang on."
"Y-yeah, it is, but what are you do-ING!" Twy'la finished her question in a shout as she got her answer, with Kree taking off into flight, and Twy'la immediately wrapped her arms around Kree "D-d-don't do that again without warning!" she shouted as Kree flew higher, and the angel kept her eyes shut.
Kree couldn't help but laugh "Sorry, just thought it'd be faster then the maze." she remarked, before bringing them both to a landing at the tunnel. Once Twy'la managed to get her footing, the two continued on towards Kree's ship "Don't need anything from your apartment?"
"No. All I had was junk there, and I have my clothing on. All the furniture is basically stuck there, so nothing else I needed there." Twy'la answered, still checking her balance after the sudden flight.
Twenty minutes of walking in the tunnel, and they arrived back at Kree's ship. As the hatch was opened, Twy'la quickly climbed up into the ship, and started taking in the new sight. It seemed more spacious then the apartment she lived in before, and despite the metal walls, also felt more inviting with the vibrant orange. A couple bunk beds, a couple cabinets, some personal space for the ship's crew, before going to the front and seeing the cockpit. All of the technology pretty much seemed foreign to Twy'la, but she had noticed there were two chairs, and sat in one, before turning to Kree, who closed the hatch from inside and sat in the other seat.
"The ship is a model X-C4N, but I just call it Tin-can. It doesn't really stand for anything aside for it being one of the lousiest and least realiable models among the ships my people created. So don't expect anything fancy." Kree explained a bit, as she started to boot up the initial systems.
"Erm, right. I don't know what to expect at all, aside from taking off here. Aside from leaving." Twy'la said, her voice growing quieter, as she glanced at the porthole and through it, at the cavern.
Pausing, Kree turned to look at Twy'la, and understood "It isn't easy, leaving home. Especially when you aren't allowed to return. But hey, at least you aren't alone." she tried cheering Twy'la up a bit, before going back to ensuring the systems initialized just fine.

Twy'la's gaze turned down, and she nodded quietly, before noticing a red light that seemed to blip over and over on a screen in front of her "What's that?"
"That means something is messed up with the landing gear. But it always blinks like that before take off. Like I said, one of the least reliable ships my people made. Once we're in space and the gear is folded, it should stop." Kree answered, before starting the engines.
During the takeoff, Twy'la latched onto her seat as much as she could, despite also having put on seatbelts. And once they left Europa, she felt the brief pressure from meeting the atmosphere, before gravity seemed to vanish. Excited by the feeling, she quickly took off her seatbelt and allowed herself to start floating around the cockpit.
While she was amused by the sight, Kree kept most of her attention on getting out of Jupiter's moon sphere safe and sound. Once they had gone out, she turned to glance at Twy'la "Enjoying yourself?" she asked, before noticing the same blinking red light from earlier had continued to be present.
"This is a very unusual feeling! To be so weightless." Twy'la remarked, before landing with a thump against the floor as the artificial gravity activated "Ow."
"Sorry, but I'll need you to stay here. Seems there is something in the landing gear after all, and I need to check it." Kree explained, putting on a breather mask and insulated outfit, before releasing the landing gear.
"Oh, so there was a problem?" Twy'la remarked as she stood up, looking at Kree as she dusted herself "Just hope it means we won't need to return."
Kree shook her head as she moved to the cockpit door "No, we won't. With my wings and spacesuit I can check it in outerspace too. Unless it's something serious. But I doubt it." The door then proceeded to close behind Kree, locking Twy'la in the cockpit.
As she heard noises from the back room, Twy'la waited for a moment, before suddenly spotting Kree on the other side of the porthole, waving at her. She offered a brief wave back, before watching as Kree vanished to the bottom part of the ship. She couldn't hear if anything was happening, and it was concerning. A few minutes passed, and the noises occured once more, only to be followed by Kree talking to something. Twy'la proceeded to knock on the door "Who are you talking to?"
The door opened, and Kree appeared, holding a pink blob in her arms, which seemed to become panicked upon seeing Twy'la. Kree just tried petting it, which didn't really work as her hand kept going into it "She isn't going to hurt you. And it seems this little blob was our problem. Basically stopped the landing gear from properly locking into place. Could've lost it if we tried entering a star with heavier gravity."
Staring at the Gelac, Twy'la seemed very surprised "A Gelac came with us?"
"Yeah. Seems like we have a little stowaway. But it doesn't really seem harmful. And we could probably just drop it off in the next planet we go to anyway." Kree stated, before sitting down with the Gelac on her lap, which still seemed to try and back away from Twy'la.
Seeing the Gelac's actions, Twy'la lowered her gaze, hiding her mouth away "I suppose. Let me know when we get there." she said, before heading to the back room.
As gaze moved from the departing Twy'la to the Gelac, Kree raised an eyebrow "I think you might've been a reminder of her home a bit too soon little blob." She said, as the pink Gelac seemed to finally start relaxing in her lap, to the point of falling asleep. It barely moved as it slept, so Kree didn't mind it staying there, as she started to go through the information gathered from earlier again. She got a bit of information about a supposed Celestial Dragon legend, but forgot to see if she could get fuel. Unfortunately, the archives didn't seem to give any data about rocket fuel.
Starting to pilot the ship manually, she decided to try checking the planets past the asteroid field. The warmer the planet was, the better chance she felt there was to get the fuel needed. And going through an asteroid field was not something the ship's auto-pilot was capable of.
As the ship started to pass between the asteroids, the Vi started to give beeps of something being detected to download from and lost, over and over. Slowing the ship, Kree tried to see if it was possible to spot the source. It took over half an hour of flying through the asteroids, before finding a construct that was definitely not an asteroid. It was strange in its shape, almost as if it had spread wings, but too small to have anyone inside it. And once she got it in her line of sight, the ship seemed to properly connect, and finish downloading all the information it had to provide.
While she was curious about the construct, Kree decided to first see if there was any data about rocket fuel. There wasn't. And yet, she doubted this just appeared in space, between all the asteroids. So, she looked up any information about where the object came from, which was apparently the third planet from the sun, dubbed "Earth" by its people. After the dirt on it? Seemed a bit weird, but Kree wasn't one to judge names.
Setting a course to Earth, Kree made sure they first got out of the asteroid field safely, before setting up the auto-pilot. It would take a few hours before they arrived at their destination, which meant it was time they could use to relax.
