Chapter 1 Money

POV - ALRIC

My intercom buzzed for what must have been the 10th time today 'this is really pissing me of' i thought to myself i learnt over pushed the button "what" i snapped "sorry sir I have got a officers in the office asking to speak with you", 'oh fuck!' i looked around trying to think "sir what should i say, wait you cant go in there! " my secretary shouted as my door to my office opened the opening door snapped me out of my daze and i stood up to greet him, i was not impressed standing in front of me was a man radiating fear he couldn't be much older than 25 he looked weak he had short black hair blue eyes and bent nose that looked like it had been broken several times and fake smile that didn't meet his eyes.

Staring at his eyes i could tell a lot about him he was unsure and felt unconfutable, while looking at his eyes i got a grimace of a old memory when i was 6 my father once said to me " eyes are everything son, no man or women can hide anything with their eyes because eyes cannot lie."

*cough* that snapped me out of the memory "how can i help officer, and that be all Lucy, I'll take it from here" i said with a smile. "Mr Alric i was hoping to ask you a few questions about murder that committed last night we found some of your DNA at the crime scene can you shed any light on this matter or at least your where about on last night between 7 - 10pm?" the office said in calm tone i smiled i could seem him shuffling about 'he scared of me' i thought to myself with a slight chuckle.

"sorry officer I am unsure how that happen as i was still in my office till gone 11pm last night as one of are computer labs caught fire last night so i was dealing with the fall out of that incident feel free to contact my lawyer if you have any more questions as I am quite busy dealing with that issue" i said in a calm voice but i stared right in to his eyes and he looked way ' I've won and he doesn't even know it yet' i stood up as he was about to say something I cut him off and said "any more question talk to my lawyer i very busy" i could see the man didn't want leave but fear won and the man stood i walked to the door noticing that he was very fat 'seem anyone can become a officer these days' i thought to myself.

when i had finally walked him to the door and shut it I let out a sigh of relief as i couldn't remember anything from last night after i found out that our main computer lab had burnt to ground i was pissed and started drinking i didn't know what they were designing but i knew it was state of the art there progress report would of described everything but it all gone nothing left at all even thinking about it pissed me off.

i went to sit back down in my office taking a good look around my office was the biggest in the company and so it should be i owned the company i was the only one to keep the solid wooden desk though it just made me feel more powerful unlike the glass desks most people used these day, i only had desk, tv and book shelf in my office which made the office look empty, but also neat and tidy, as i looked at the tv to watch the current stock prices i liked to keep a good eye on where my company stood 'our stocks had been rising for years now ever since i took over' i thought with a grin as i was about look away the screen changed a white screen with big black bold letters in a hologram saying please wait 'what is going on' leaning over i pressed the button on the intercom "Lucy my tv broken get someone to repair it" she answered with a sweet voice " sorry sir it seems to be on every tv, everywhere" she said with wonder in her voice " what are you talking about girl it can't be" i said with doubt and then screen changed again this time a movie clip it started with a elf walking to middle of the screen he wore a green robe but had pointed eyes and pointed ears he was caring a wooden stick no wait a wood staff when he turned to face the screen he said " Welcome to the world of ULARA the first vrmmorpg as of today we have sent out a free copy and a vessel to every person in this world this is a world where you can become anything you wish! " when he said that a bright ball of flame floated above his staff " i became a wizard! i rule my own kingdom and I have only have just begun!" he then turned to look at me and said " we can offer power, riches, land, skills, wisdom, there are no limited no rules and no Laws" i swear he winked at me on the last comment ' that can't be right he is on tv' i chuckled to myself and turned of the tv like i would be interested in a game i have all the things in the real world!

i decided that it was time for me to head home, it been a long enough day already last thing i need is more officers turning up to ask questions all i really wanted was another drink, as i walked out of my office i spoke to Lucy and said cancel all my appointments and tell everyone that im out the office, she was still focused of her laptop screen all i saw was the world ULARA in the corner and decided to leave her alone 'she not worth effort' it took me a few minutes to exit the building 'working on the top floor is a right pain at least my car near' having my own car stop next to the door was a great time saver in management car park which only had 10 spaces and where all filled with stupidly expensive cars always trying to outdo each other. as i sat down in my Bentley Continental GT i set the route home i had paid a small fortune to add the self-drive function, it only took about 20 minutes to get home.

You could see it from about 2 miles away i lived in the penthouse suit of the royal blue apartments as i walked in through the doors and took the elevator to my room which required a key and finger print before the lift would move, as the lift was moving up i could see the city below me though the glass panels i lived in the tallest building in London in was built in 2049 it where the rich of the rich live and i was proud to live here.

once the lift got high enough that all i could see was clouds it finally stopped and the doors opened i was feeling impatient as i need to call my lawyer and get my story straight as i walk in to my apartment i notice the vessel in the corner or wired in 'who has been in here' i thought angrily i hated people entering my private space as i look around to see if anything else has been changed the lift open up in to the middle of living room which consider of 2 leather sofas and glass table and massive holographic tv which always display weather and news even when deactivated. The hole apartment had glass panels going around so on clear days i could see the whole city but today all i could see where clouds i loved my view it made me feel like a king and everyone is beneath me.

just as i was about to sit down my phone beeps

Text message Sender - Andrew William the police have just rang me they have enough to bring you in, If it was you i recommend you run i cant help this time.

'Shit What am i going to do' i thought desperately and then i heard the elevator shut and start going down in a pure panic a memory came flooding back " we can offer power, riches, land, skills, wisdom, there are no limited no rules and no Laws" ' thats it that stupid game' i thought i ran to the vessel sitting in the corner of the room pre setup it still bothered me on who installed it but i was in to much of a rush to worry it looked like a one of them escape pops from old space moves just more sleek and etched with runes or many symbols that glowed with electric i quickly opened up and gust of warm steam came out but i didn’t even notice as quickly laydown in the vessel there was gel like substance that flowed around me a soon as i was laying down it flowed around my body matching all it its detail as it was almost done the lid to the vessel shut *crunch* i felt the container lock and my eyes went wide and i felt trapped then a screen a appeared
