".... we shouldn't go with that decision so easily"
"look at our condition right now. Do we have any other option?"
"Mugha, my son... you do aware about the last howl sacrifice ritual right? what souls that are needed for that ritual?"
"only the mightiest souls that will be accepted by our god beast ROGNIR"
"that means our fighters.. including you"
"that's obvious father. What are you trying to say?"
"... -sigh- you always think about our tribe above all.. i don't know if that's good or bad for yourself"
"myself? i don't care as long as our tribe keep safe"
Shanti stood up and stopped their conversation.
"enough Mugha. That's not the fixed result.. the prophecy.. we still can find another solution for this"
"Shanti.. I'm the one who fought those humans... and i know, with our current condition, we can't hold them back when the next attack comes"
"but.."
"and if they call for reinforcement... if that happens, then we totally don't have a chance to survive"
The elder gave his decision.
"for now, we will try to observe the situation. The last howl sacrifice ritual will be the last option for this matter"
"then what do you want to do father? no one can help us"
"you will go with me to the sacred high ground Mugha, we will ask Zog for his help"
"the king of Monryad? i doubt it"
"we should try... they have become our allies for generations"
".... understood father. When will we leave?"
"tomorrow. You and the other fighters should rest after that horrible battle"
Mugha nodded and left the place. Other villagers also left the place and headed to their house. Only the families from the fallen fighters were still there.
Shanti sat again beside the elder with her worried expression.

"what do you think Shanti?"
"i know... everyone must be thinking about the last howl sacrifice ritual when they heard the prophecy...."
She took a deep breath.
"me too.. i only can think about that... but our beast god ROGNIR shouldn't give us that kind of...."
"stop it Shanti. We already have been blessed by our beast god ROGNIR for four hundred years... you must not forget that.."
"i know elder....." She gripped her clothes
They stayed awhile with their mixed feelings in their mind.

-sreek-
"...."
"who's there!!"
Khall raised his hand and showed no hostile action toward those soldiers.
"it's that monster from earlier.."
"sir Chillyd said to let it meet him..."
They looked into each other and decided to let Khall passing through. The moon was shining quite bright that night, and with the torches help, he easily could find Chillyd's tent.
"sir! that monster is coming here"
"hoo.. that's sooner than i expected"
Chillyd came out from his tent. Khall already waited there with an angry expression.
"hey, calm down Khall.. let's sit first"
Chillyd sat on the near wood block, yet Khall still stood there.
"so.. what's wrong?"
"..... what's wrong? why did you attack us?!"
"ah, this is about that.. well, i want to make sure about the information that you gave to me"
"-krrrrrrrrr- what do you really want human?! why are you coming to our village?!"
"haha! you finally ask that Khall!! if only you do that from the first time we met" He tapped his thigh
"what's so funny?!"
"hey, like i said.. calm down. Here, listen to me"
Khall still didn't want to sit. Chillyd sighed and continued his words.
"i have two missions from my commander"

"two missions?"
"first, to search your village and make sure that you are a threat to our people. And then, i need to confirm if you are capable to kill a "certain" person" He smiled
"a....certain person? i don't get it. And we are not a threat!! you should know that by now!"
"relax Khall. My first mission have already confirmed.. and sadly yes, you're not a threat.."
He showed his disappointed expression.
"would be nice if all of you have the same level with that red hair"
"!! how do you know about Mugha?! you've watch it? so you've come!!"
"....no Khall. I saw it all, but i wasn't there"
"just what are you talking about .."
"forget about it. Let's talk about my second mission"
He looked at him.
"this is really important. Khall, don't you want to protect your tribe?"
He stepped foward and shouted at Chillyd.
"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO KILLED MY PEOPLE!! WHY ARE YOU ASKING THAT QUESTION?!"
He grabbed Chillyd's clothes and the soldiers around them raising their sword.
"relax, lower your sword" He raised his hand
Khall still stared at him. He needed an explanation.
"I'll give you a chance, to save your tribe... from the next attack"
"next attack....?!"
He looked around and found out that the soldiers in the base camp were only half from this noon.
"you have already lost half of your soldier! do you think we can't defeat you now?!"
"-sigh- Khall, i already know what your people can do. And with this number, i can kill all of you"
He stared at him and gave this serious expression.
"but I'm not the one who will attack you... one hundred soldiers will come and slaughter all of your people"
"what...."
"i want to prevent that too you know, that's why i need you to help me. How's about it?"
Khall let him go. Only one thing that was in his mind... he didn't want to make another mistake... he didn't want to see Shanti's sad expression again..
"let.... me listen to it first.."
"good! i know you are a reasonable monster Khall!" Chillyd smiled
He started to tell his mission.
