Shanti tried to find the right words.
"do you have faith in me Mugha?"
"...what do you mean Shanti?"
"just, answer it"
"of course. I'll never doubt you and father"
"good then" She nodded
She held his hands and looked at his eyes.
"as the shaman of Ohre village and your sister, I'll support our savior and make sure he will do his duty. I promise"
Mugha could feel her grip became tighter. Although her hands were smaller than him, he could tell that these hands would carry his hope successfully.
"i see... then i have nothing to worry about"
He smiled and looked at her.
"this really means something for me Shanti. If my little wolf said that, then that will be happened... for sure"
"yes, you don't have to worry! leave it to me!"
".....Shanti?"
"hm? what?"
"i have one request for you, if you..."
"just say it"
"-sigh- ok. After i...go to the heavenly green field.."
Shanti waited and listened.
"i want you...to visit me and tell me what happens after our Furr'dhad coming here.."
"tell you..?"
"you know... you're a shaman, so i'm sure your voice will reach me at the heavenly green field"
"i see. So you're saying that you still need your little sister even after you're reaching the eternal life? is that it?" She smiled
"don't tease me Shanti, and I'll always need both of you and father...no matter what"
"i know, i know. Don't worry, you'll know every details about what happens afterwards"
"by the blessing of our beast god ROGNIR, for giving me a dependable little sister" He patted her head
"I'll do that, i promise" She mumbled
They spent the rest of the night by having their little chat and reminiscing their old days.

A gentle cold wind blew slowly through the village. The sky showed some color changing from dark to purplish blue.
"ther....father?"
The elder woke up from a gentle touch on his cheek.
"i'm sorry... did i fall asleep?"
"haha, don't mind it father. I'm glad you got a nice rest"
"-fuuh- what kind of father who fell asleep at his son last moment.."
"father..."
The elder got up and took his staff. He stretched for few minutes and looked at them.
"Shanti, you should clean yourself and prepare for the ritual"
"you're right. I'll go now" She nodded
She left the shrine and headed to the river. Mugha would take a bath at his house, so he didn't need to go to the river.
"then, I'll go first father"
The elder only nodded saw him left. Only peaceful dawn became his company now.
"our mighty beast god ROGNIR...please guide me.... strengthen my soul...so i won't doubt you..."
He cried as silent as he could.
The other villagers including all of the fighters also prepared for that day. The day for the last howl sacrifice ritual.
All of the fighters would wear a full white clothes with a golden ring as their straps. That was a symbol for a pure and mighty soul.
Shanti came to the shrine first. She needed to prepare the ritual. She already changed her outfit into shaman clothes.
"according from what i've learned... first i need to draw the summoning circle"
She took out a blue sharp stone. The stone resembled like a fang.
She headed to the right location to draw the symbol and pulled a scroll that was hung at her waist.
"this is the symbol... the picture is still clear, even though it's from hundreds years ago"

She started to draw the symbol using the stone on the ground. With the Half-beast physical ability, she could draw it less than ten minutes.
She decided to sit and wait for the others.
-krsk-
She heard someone coming.
"Khall..?"
The doll walked towards her direction. He stared at the symbol.
".....Khall, I'm sorry about what i said yesterday"
"what....do you mean..?"
"about..that. When i doubt you for telling that those humans had a magic device...that can move them instantly to our place"
She continued her words.
"you are the one who knows how cruel they are.. of course you will do anything to save our tribe, yet i only think about myself, my own feelings.."
"don't... worry.... everything as planned..."
"hm? planned? what do you mean Khall?"
The doll didn't answer her question and walked to the entrance of the shrine. Not for long, the fighters appeared with Mugha in the front of the line.
"so...this is it...."
Shanti closed her eyes and tried to calm her mind.
The last howl sacrifice ritual...begun.

An eldritch comedy. After Cthulhu is summoned into the world, the whole place goes to shit. Things really got out of hand after Cthulhu got nuked. Alex and Julius, a pair of brothers, try their best to make it in a North America reshaped by an eldritch apocalypse. “Stop right there Philip!” Julius interrupted, the vein on his temple starting to throb. “I do not want to hear another simile about what magic is. I have had magic explained to me by three cult leaders, a wizard, and a cannibal. I've heard that magic is like a rainbow, all its parts blending together. The human unconsciousness, powerful and unknowable. A body, you don't want to eat the heart straight away. I am sick and tired of people telling me what magic is. I know damn well what it is.” He drew a breath, interrupting his rant. “Magic is a bad joke. A whole lot of setup, for some nonsense punchline. This whole god-damned apocalypse is an eldritch comedy.”
