《Destruction》Chapter 5

Rase and her friends had gotten the day off for hunting and they decided to go to a neutral territory that had an inn for clans that wanted to relax. It just so happens the inn had a lounge with a bar that Jehu decided to take advantage of.
"Barkeep another round here!"
"I think you've had enough, Monkey."
"I think you need to drink more, Snake!"
Rase steadily takes a sip of her drink while observing her surroundings other clans with their unique masks sat enjoying the drinks and atmosphere though they are on high alert just in case anyone tries to attack them.
Though no one would be stupid enough to attack each other in Lemga's territory. That old man would wipe the floor with any of them, though some still tried to cause trouble here to see what all the stories about him were about.
To say they were cocky was an understatement, more like suicidal.
Suddenly multiple footsteps bring Rase's attention to the inn's front door some odd figures enter looking haggard what was strange is they had no masks on.
Are they asking to be killed?
Her first thought as she observed them everyone in the inn was suddenly ready to attack these unknowns.
Then Rase saw her.
A woman with red hair in strange armor stood proud as she sized up everyone that wanted to rip their throat out then she stops to study Rase like she was different from everyone else.
She looks confused noticing her mask and tilts her head in question.
An urge to go with this woman was overwhelming.
And she does.
"Wolf?"
She doesn't hear Jehu as she approaches them she notices the rest of the woman's group is ready to jump in to attack at any second as she approaches.

But the woman meets her halfway.
When their hands touched it felt like a storm was brewing.
A storm of destruction.
Everything was silent as Rase and the woman held each other's hand until a sudden force surrounded the two of them. Pushing back everyone who was around them.
But the two in the center pay them no mind Rase feels a slight burn on the back of her hand. Like something is etching itself onto her skin.
The yelling from the confused patronages as something pushes them away from the two of them in the center. The Clans getting ready to attack them as the force holds them back.
"Wolf!" A voice echoes through the wind but Rase can't focus on anything but the one in front of her.
"Your Name… What is it?"
The woman still holding Rase's hand looks at her even with the mask it felt that she was staring into her eyes.
"Laia Ureaio."
"I'm R-"
"Now, Now Wolf it seems you've made quite a mess!"
Rase pauses the overwhelming presence stops her in her track. just as she was about to say her name publicly her senses comes back as she looks to her left.
Lemga, The owner of the bar, stood with a hand on both Rase and Laia's shoulders it seems whatever had happened stopped completely.
After getting out of the trance Rase realizes the damage she somehow caused, tables and chairs scattered as people look ready to murder the two of them.
He puts his arms to his sides then gives a thin smile to Laia.
"Since you are one of my guests I will let this error pass if you would be so kind to wait over there with your team, I would like to talk to Wolf here."

Laia looks to her hesitating she looks to Rase who nods in reassurance, it's not like she hasn't gotten into trouble with clans before even if this is an odd occurrence even for her.
They let go of each other and Rase notices the burning on her hand has stopped. Rase looks at her in surprise as a golden tattoo of a golden bird is on her skin.
"Wolf, you know the rules of disrupting my bar yes?"
"...Yes"
"Since this is your first offense It will be light hold out your left hand."
Rase does what she is told and grits her teeth for what comes next.
"One broken finger for the disruption is enough."
As soon as he said that an explosion of pain hits her index finger she sucks the air through her teeth to keep herself from yelling out.
Someone gasps she can't tell who since this is a common thing here if someone gets in trouble. Rase is lucky the option wasn't death.
"Now then I have to attend to my guests have a good rest of your night Wolf."
He walks to Laia's group that stood there shocked at the display.
Jehu and Shatia helps her to their seat they already had gotten the Medical Kit.
"We got you, Wolf."
"We will fix you up in no time."
As the pain in her finger escalates as they begin to set it, she looks back at Laia who stares at her in concern. Then is pulled away with her group with Legma as the lead.
Rase looks at her right hand the tattoo burning at her skin.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
