《Super Realm》Great seeing eye

Some natives, without armor, had appeared together with the two advanced players. Chaos broke out among the players as everyone wanted to have a closer look at what was about to happen. The two players had appeared in a new set of clothes, impregnated with a fire symbol. Abnormally pleased they followed the instruction to place something that looked like a transparent crystal ball on top of a podium next to the exit.
The two sides starred at each other in great interest. A man in silver stomped his feet on the ground in order to silence the commotion.
The previous red robed elder stepped out again. Followed by the 2 ascended players. While both players held bright smiles, Kushan seemed a little on edge as his teeth were clenched tightly together.
The duo only realized that a third person of their kind had appeared when Kushan in a daydreaming fashion nearly bumped into her.
"HEY, watch it!" He howled. His verbal control had become slightly better "This is our cutscene, so you better piss off."
John also took a look at the new ascender. Looking from top to bottom he found nothing special about her until his gaze fell onto the red book in her hand.
The look in his eyes gave Luo Si an ill-foreboding feeling. Turning around, she walked up to one of the guards. "Hey you!"
"Uh, ah, yes mam, I mean miss!" The guard she had chosen looked rather young among the rest. Uncertainty was written all over his face as he still remembered her isolated meeting with Aristocrat Fu.
"Hold onto this for me." Luo Si pulled out the needle and pressed it onto him.
The young guard, not wanting to know what would happen if he did not, grabbed the needle and held it tightly.
Seeing as his representatives being unfocused, the red robed elder became impatient and gave them a final nudge.
He said something to both of them and they nodded with smiling faces.
The elder took in a presenting posture and talked in a low voice.

The two players started talking in a loud voice after the chief finished his speech.
"The village chief Min Song welcomes us relentless souls from unknown origin to the Min village. He says that those who succeed in passing the barrier will be accepted as martial practitioner and can go to the martial camp after going through a baptism in a water pool. However, we have to take care about other things ourselves. Killing the villagers is also forbidden. And we have to follow the rules, or else there will be consequences. We are free to leave, but he advises us not to."
Luo Si suppressed a chuckle. 'Kill the villagers? It must have been addressed in detail after seeing us basically committing genocide.'
The chief had a big smile on his face as the crowd in front of him cheered. Assured the message to be translated successfully, he left together with his men.
"Well at least we are welcomed and can go somewhere. We are even allowed to leave."
Plans had formed in some people's heads.
'He-he, I will scout the front and sell the maps, earning a massive fortune.'
'I will defeat everyone and become the strongest in the camp.'
'Maybe if I kill the chief...'
'I will leave the village and find my fortune in the wilderness.'
Many different thoughts appeared and Luo Si could only shake her head in amusement. The advises of the chief not to go outside held truth. The dangers outside Min village were not things that one could easily overcome. 'And don't think that the chief is just an old man.'
"So shiny." Many female players mumbled. They had not been paying much attention to chief Min's welcoming, as their focus was attracted by something else. Like wolfs starring at their prey, they sized up the enormous blueish dull crystal, evaluating its price like super mathematicians.
John was about to satisfy their curiosity, but decided otherwise, seeing that the first awakened had already eagerly appeared right next to the work of art.

Kushan did not want to share anymore of the limelight and quickly ran down the information given by chief Min.
"This is called 'the great seeing eye.' It is really amazing. Like you need to do the and then it does the thing and then you kind of know." His childlike explanation was meet with deadpan faces.
Luo Si wanted to facepalm herself. ''Great seeing eye?' That's just a damn refined pure mana core.'
"Anyway, it's best if I show you." Ignoring the fact that he had said nothing but gibberish, Kushan took the initiative and placed his hand on the ball.
The ball started to glow up lightly and seconds later small sparks of light appeared. One after another, the number stopped when the number of sparks reached 6. A small blow of wind was repelled from the ball at the end before Kushan retracted his hand.
"Oh."
"Ah." The mass was in awe at what had occurred.
Taking a short recovery breath Kushan replied. "As you guys can see, I can light up 6 small balls of light. That means, I have opened 6 of those meridians. The threshold of success is to open at least 6 of those. If you don't, just consider yourself a waste. At least that's what the great chief told me."
"But the most amazing part I have yet to talk about. You might not have seen it, but there was a wind blow created from the ball. The chief said that I am blessed with a wind vein." Kushan Owen was like a child showing his favorite toy.
Envious eyes fell on Kushan, especially the minute mans. 'Why does he have a vein and I don't?'
The first awakeners bright smile didn't last long though as John Cage pushed him aside. "Tsk, don't think your tier one fart vein can make you anything special. If you want to present something, you need to show it like this."
The ball started glowing again and light particles appeared anew. The number of particles shot up and quickly lit up six light particles as well. However, it did not stop there like it had when it was Kushans turn, as two more light balls formed.
The news that John Cage had awakened 8 meridians spread virus-like. Kushans expression worsened when he heard the players compare the two of them.
Yet, as if that was not enough, three fire bursts erupted from the mana core. "This is what a real vein looks like."
Johns' words caused even more of an uproar.
Kushan could do nothing but accept reality. Not only had his opponent ignited more particles than him, he was also blessed with a better vein. Defeated he lowered his head. He casted a glance at Luo Si though. Now that the cutscene was over her state of presence rose.
Looking at her unfazed behavior, suspicion cropped up inside his mind. 'This girl was not even surprised by Johns results. Could she be… no way! But what if?"
"Hey, you! How about you try it out." Like a poorly trained business man Kushan tried to entice Luo Si.
John looked over as well. He raised a questioning eyebrow. Normally girls with her looks would have flown into his arms, aroused by his heaven defying talent.
"Yeah, test her. If she could even receive the book from that noble grandpa then she is unconditionally obliged to." Some Indian guy yelled in English.
"Noble grandpa?" John's curiosity had risen by a level. Seeing their Superstar oblivious to what occurred in his absent, his followers quickly informed him. His desire to grab ahold of the book had reached a new dimension, after being informed. He could not just rip it out of her embrace though. He did not want to tarnish his superstar image.
"Fine, if it will make you shut up." Luo Si rolled her eyes. Sounding overburdened as if it was no more than a pain in the a**, she placed her hand on the transparent sphere.

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?

Reborn as a Dungeon Boss
If anyone were to take my actions, my feats, my influence on the world, and write them down as a story, there would be one point that needs to be raised before all else. This is not a song of redemption. This is not a tale of hope. This is not a parable of goodness. No. Mine is a warning of destruction. Slaughter. Death. For death brought me into this world...and death I shall bring to it. This will be my second attempt at writing a novel. For the fans of my first work, I'm sorry for disappearing for so long...life happened. I will continue that one at some point, but for now I want to try to get back into the groove of writing. Thank you for giving me a chance.
