《Super Realm》Unworthy

All eyes were on Luo Si. Everybody wanted to know what was behind her confident attitude.
With a more accustomed touch over it she could feel a portion of the accumulated qi inside her body being sucked through her arm into the core.
The globe lit up slowly. Everyone's pupils widened since nobody wanted to miss out on what was to come.
The first particle began to be formed and lit up.
The breaths of some even began to become rough, impatiently awaiting the following.
Waiting…
And waiting.
Until Luo Si let go of the sphere, ending the show. "Are you happy now?" She said in a nonchalantly.
What followed was silence.
"Bahaha." The first one to break the silent tomb was John in a fit of howling laugher. The tomb shook as the stadium sized cage followed John's example.
"AHAHAH! I cannot, I cannot believe."
"IAIAIAI! Just one fucking star. She must be a comedian, because I'm nearly dying from laughing so much ha-ha."
Even Kushan Owen jumped over his defeat. "What the f*** was that." He had thought of dragging at least one of the two down with him. But this outcome had reminded him that there was always someone worse. If not the worst. "And you made me think I had lucked out, when you are the worst."
Luo Si remained untouched as though she was surrounded by idiots.
Reminded that time was not in her favor she made her way back into the cage, only to be intercepted midway.
John had stepped in, swiping away the tears of laughter.
"Alright I have laughed enough. Now hand over the book." He commanded, holding out a hand to receive his prize. The howling had died down, listening to their king.
"Come again?" Luo Si raised an eyebrow. She pointed at the obvious. "You mean you want this?" It was no longer a question of misinterpretation between language barriers.

"Exactly. How I see it, you are not worthy of this book." His fan club heavily agreeing with his words.
"Oh. And if I refuse?" She asked.
"Well, we can do this the easy or the hard way. And by that, I mean you either give me the book and take a hike or I kill you and then take the book. Either way I get the book." He said, popping his knuckles.
Sigh* 'Whatever, he who will not hear must feel.' Luo Si did not want to waste any more time. "How about I do you one better." Before John could react, she grabbed onto her head and twisted it, devoid of hesitation, with a devilish smile yet again.
The sound of a twisting neck made John flinch. He cursed the developer for making the game so realistic.
Luo Si's body disappeared after hitting the ground before respawning out of the crossed wall shortly after.
Without losing a word, she made her way back to the front. The crowd as if unanimously agreed, opened up a path. A walk of shame made out of mocking gazes.
In the meantime, John had gathered himself back up. He looked at the ground, uncertain if the object had followed its owner. To his delight the book was still there.
Luo Si had arrived back at the book. At least as close as she could get. Dying had brought her back to the beginning and returned the inability of leaving the cage.
"Hah, that was even easier than taking the Lolli from a child." John threw her one last mocking, satisfying his lust for victory by looking into the eyes of the defeated.
To his surprise though Luo Si did not look dejected of her lose at all. Instead, the devilish smile reappeared. She was looking forward to what was to come.

"Hmph." John picked up the book, waving it outside her arms range. "You see this, this is now mine."
"Idiot." The corner of her mouth hooked up, seeing somebody take her newly obtained item. The casual drawing earlier was a precaution taken by the elder in case something like this happened.
"Uwah!" The next moment, violent flames spread from the book and burned the evildoer to ashes the next second. Not even his vein could help him.
The book dropped on the ground outside the cage. Everybody was standing away from the book and looked at Luo Si. They knew that she could not leave the cage and since nobody wanted to touch the book there was no way she could retrieve it, besides that was not her only concern for now.
"Argh! I will f****ing kill her!" A voice all too familiar originating from the crossed wall. The aloofness had vanished. And rage took its place.
Heavy footsteps made their way towards Luo Si, presenting her a deeply angered American millennial.
"YOU!"
Hong Luo Si still had a careless smile on her face. Her marked hand reached towards the book. A coin imprint glowed on the cover and the book flew as of it had its own will towards the extended hand.
Back in her grasp, Luo Si patted of the evildoers' ash while looking at John from beginning till now.
"Guess you were not worthy."
She presented him the book anew. John took a few steps back in fear. He did not want to repeat the painful experience ever again.
"This is not over, yet." Grumbling he could only retreat into the arms of his followers.
Luo Si did not care about his threat. She wouldn't be able to understand it anyway without it traveling through several hears and mouths.
Turning around she waved the young guard over.
He was a smart dog. Person. He was a young and smart person giving back the needle without a word to exchange.
Not wanting to let his deed unrewarded she patted his head.
The young guard did not know whether to laugh or cry and quickly returning to his position.
Sitting back down she could finally focus on the book. She had already lost an incense stick of time. Dropping down the remaining number to 6.
People around her had also taken a step back.
What kind of witchcraft was this book made off? First it reduced someone to ashes, then it gained consciousness and flew.
People around her had also taken a step back. Not wanting to be caught in any unnecessary accidents. But they still kept their attentive looks on the red book. They wanted to know the content of the book.
It opened after Luo Si laid her palm on the cover. The gathering behind her, puzzled as they could see nothing but blank sheets of paper.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
