《My immortal life》Chapter 2: Guess
Advertisement
Across me stands a vaguely humanoid figure with a body made out of flowing ones and zeros. From my position, he looks to be 2 dimensional. This is my father, Igra, a god of games. He is apparently what happens when War meets the goddess of smiles. From what little I have about my grandfather on my father's side, he is a powerful immortal who worked his way up from a war domain to be the very aspect of war.
Aspects, are the second step up from domains, to embody an aspect one must have a mindset that matches the aspect in question and also have a complete understanding of what aspect they are embodying.
" Ah, speaking of grandpa, grandma Smiles is on a world near us," I spoke without thinking.
" Misli? Your grandma is near us?"
" Ah... Nothing dad. I got my domain though! Guess what I got."
I began waving my finger, the one with fire still hovering above it, at him. My father seemed to frown at the fire, unhappy with my apparent choice of domain.
" Fire?"
It was my turn to frown at him.
" What?! No! Why would I even choose fire as a domain?"
That seemed to cheer him up a little.
" Guess again... Oh, wheres ma?"
" Ah, she is coming home now. Give her a minute. Magic."
" Not magic. Think! I have telepathy as a power. My domain is related to it. It was mom's advice to take a domain attuned to my power."
" Is it knowledge, your domain I mean?" A young but strict voice sounded behind me.
" Not knowledge, mom."
At that, my mother pouted and turned to the side.
" Tch!"

My mother, Uchi, Yggil's only goddess of academics. Teacher of all young immortals on Yggil for the past 200 years. The supposedly eternal 21-year-old teacher was a great beauty. She wore a simple white dress with a leather jacket over it. A wooden ruler made of mortal materials sat in a pocket inside the jacket. A ruler that is changed every few months. Immortals have very tough bodies... She has a head of platinum blond hair and is slightly shorter than I am. About an inch. Fair-skinned she would most likely be a mortal's definition of immortal beauty.
The obviously older than 21 immortal was pouting. I restrain my urge to pat her on the head and smile at her reaction. Patting her on the head would be rude of me.
" But your guess is kinda close," I state.
She proceeds to stare at me in the eyes. I could quite literally see her eyes flitting around seemingly scanning my body for abnormalities. She stopped when she saw my very energetic hair, swaying like an invisible wind was constantly blowing through it. Satisfied she answered confidently.
" The mind."
" Wrongggg," I said with a smug smile plastered to my face.
My mom immediately dropped her confident act spluttering at my response.
" I picked thoughts." I relented to appease the already steaming mad mother. She is steaming. Like really steaming. Not kidding.
" So, my son is a god of thoughts. I don't think I have ever heard of a god of thoughts maybe you are The god of thoughts." My father commented.
I glanced at my faceless father wondering if he ever had an actual face that is not ones and zeros.
" Nah, I am not the only god of thoughts. I sensed 2 others when I had my power boost."

" You sensed them?" My mother asked.
" Yes, I think I experienced something akin to omnipresence and omniscience for that second."
" Did you experience any recoil from the power boost?"
Deciding that, allowing my parents to know that I had experienced my first time bleeding, was a bad idea. I decided to hold onto that information and just gave them a shrug.
" I don't think so."
I could already feel my brother's stare burning through the back of my head.
" So... Can I venture off world on my own now? I have quite a diverse power set. I should be able to tackle anything that I stumble into. "
Not to mention the fact that I am nearly always in my intangible form. Making most physical attacks ineffective against me.
My father, with his easy-going attitude, just shrugged and glanced at my mother. I too glanced at my mother. Turning towards her I gave my best impression of wide kid eyes, that an 18-year-old can make.
...
Wait... I can literally my baby eyes.
Flexing my internal energy, I imposed my will to bring my thoughts into reality once more. This time to make my body revert to a child's form. Shapeshifting!
Opening my eyes, wincing slightly when I noticed my energy reserve drop to half. WOW, shapeshifting costed 40 times the amount of energy required for that candle fire.
Anyway... I gave my mom proper kid eyes and caused my eyes to tear up slightly.
At this point, my mother was just staring at my face. She made no movement or sound. I pulled my old secret move.
" Pweassee~ ma..."
Mother crumpled under pressure and relented immediately.
" SURE! I will even take to the teleporters myself today! But you must let me cuddle you in your current form until we reach. Promise?"
" Pwamise!!"
Hehe. Still works to this day. My mom is so predictable.

Yes, there are portions that are dark and grim, including slavery which is why I have the traumatizing content box checked. If you can't stomach a little slavery and torture, probably best to find a different story to read. Complaining that you felt lied to isn't going to make me change my story.
