Closing the door behind him, Bhainz removes his card from the slot next to the door and walks towards the receptionist at the counter.
Shadow Force Assistant: "Bhainz, your information on the network has already been updated and therefore it is unnecessary to inquire from the receptionist."
Bhainz: "Oh, that is good, however, I am going over to say hi; you know, I am 23 years old and come from a world where talking and thinking became obselete and therefore a little social exchange might be good for me."
Shadow Force Assistant: "Well, if that is the case then I do not see a problem. We can discuss later about what it is you need to know."
Walking up to the desk, Bhainz still in his gray pants and top, proceeds to greet the receptionist.
Bhainz: "Hello, I am kind of new around here." Bhainz smiles as he greets the bluish receptionist that looks like a shark.
Receptionist: "Oh, hello there, you can call me Shayle." Smiling as she greets and continues, "You say that you are new here, have you just ascended to the Origin Continent?"
Bhainz: "I have, and also, ms Shayle, please call me Bhainz. I have just exited from the beginner cave and am not quite certain what to do next; does ms Shayle have any advice on where to start?"
Shayle: "Well, mr Bhainz, if you have just exited then that would mean you have had the fortune of Assistant integration to a separate space; that being the case, your assistant will be able to inform you on what it is you need to know. However, I would advise mr Bhainz to familiarise yourself with the academy, the Martial Market and before all of that, you will need a place to stay. The Origin continent is large and has many vacant plots to choose from for businesses or for living purposes. Completing caves is not the only way to become stronger; there are tournaments and also challenges that could supply you with the strength you require to travel to the other continent."

Bhainz: "The other continent?"
Shayle: "Yes, there are other continents. The next continent can be reached by travelling through the gateway on the top floor of the Martial Tower. You will need to have achieved the Origin State of Master. After having achieved the Master state, you will gain access to information pertaining to the next continent. What I can tell you, is that it is called Civilisation continent and your Master State will reset to Novice Civilian State."
Bhainz: "Excuse me for asking, but, have you travelled there before?"
Shayle: "No problem, mr Bhainz and yes, I have." Smilling at Bhainz, as she reveals her sharp rows of teeth, yet even so, she is charming.
Looking at the charming shark woman before him, " If you don't mind me asking, has ms Shayle travelled beyond that continent?"
Shayle: "Many people on the Origin Continent have, and to answer your question, yes, I too have went beyond it but I cannot, without proper authorisation, reveal further information pertaining to the other continents."
Bhainz: "..."

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

Rifts of War
The visions. It was they that told us about our future. They said that we were the true rulers of the world, the spreaders of light, the guardians of the rightious path. The visions gave us signs of a bright new world, one united under a single banner of light. All those who opposed us suffered and here we stand on the top, watching over the world. We thought it would last forever, but we thought wrong. The visions once again spoke to us and gave us insight, but not to glory or power. They spoke of a terrible fate. An enemy from beyond the realm, one that wishes to destroy us all, one that threatens to bring about the end of the light and usher an age of darkness. As its guardians, we could not allow that. And so we decided to strike. Our armies and our mages gather at the great rift that connects our world. No one knew what we would find. Treasures? Rich land? Savage beasts? There was only one way to find out. A/N: The story starts out pretty quick and I know people will say this is a "military p*rn" but that's only the beginning. I really do have much more planned for this book so I can make a true 'war of the worlds' type of deal. So stick around and enjoy

He wants to destroy the Gods who abuse their powers, but will he team up with a Goddess to accomplish his goal? UPDATE (10/18/21): I will no longer be updating this version of the story. Thank you all who actually liked this version, but this version does not sit well with me anymore. I have an updated version called: Condemned: Tale of Light. Please read this story on that fiction page instead. I changed many things. Thanks again for reading. I hope to see you on the new version. I'll leave this old version up for people to compare with the new one. Like a public first first draft. -Ando
