《The Forsakens》Classes

A beautiful girl was the one who knocked and opened the door.
Mr. Hakki: "Yes?"
Olga: "Teacher, I want to attend magic class if that is alright."
Mr. Hakki: "Of course that is alright."
Mr. Hakki gave her a form to fill, too. She silently filled the form and gave it back.
Sakar: "Olga, even though you are a perfect shaman why do you want to learn magic."
Olga calmly and with a smiling face answered.
Olga: "There is a person I want to kill."
Sakar: "Why are you smiling?"
Olga: "When I think the day I finally rip him to pieces., I can't stop smiling."
Sakar shuddered nervously. He couldn't take it so he spoke.
Sakar: "I don't deserve to be ripped to pieces!"
Olga: "Don't worry, you are not my target."
Mr. Hakki: "Silence!"
They both stopped and looked at Mr. Hakki with demanding eyes.
Mr. Hakki: "Do you know anything about magic?"
Both of them at the same time said the same thing.
Students: "I know that it is evil."
Mr. Hakki: "Nothing is evil in this world, you can use the same thing for multiple purposes. There is a student called 'The Muscle Brain', his powers were considered evil in the distant past."
Sakar: "He just has brute strength."
Mr. Hakki: "This is what you think. Maybe even he thinks the same."
After he told that, he picked up a chalk and wrote "Hakki Flower".
Mr. Hakki: "Let's meet first, tell me your full names."
Sakar laughed at the surname of Mr. Hakki. He got enraged even reddened a little bit.
Mr. Hakki: "Stand up and introduce yourself"
He stood up got slapped again.
Sakar: "Teacher, are you the one who is slapping me?"
Mr. Hakki ignored him and told him to introduce himself with another slap.
Sakar: "Sakar is my full name. Don't have a surname."

'His surname must be his weak-spot.' was the sentence crossed Sakar's mind. Sakar was a shameless person, would not care about just a slap.
Olga: "Olga Wonder."
Mr. Hakki: "Now we can begin our class. What do you know about 'War Classes'?"
Sakar: "There are fighters and shamans in this country only. Maybe a few mages."
Mr. Hakki: "There are many kinds of classes in the world and many powers that have nothing to do with one's class."
Mr. Hakki erased his name from the board and began to write and tell at the same time.
Mr. Hakki: "I have traveled a lot and have seen many things. There are subgroups of them but in total there are four big war classes and unique star powers. These four classes are Fighter, Mage, Shaman, and Druid. There are also other races such as elementals and spirits which you may have met already. Shamans know what spirits are. And for the star powers, I would say they are pretty unique. Sometimes stars would shine upon someone's birth and that means they are chosen. They get the property of the star. As an example, the mage king you want to kill so badly maybe a mage but he is also chosen by a star that grants him the power to control. Normally a mage would not be able to have that kind of controlling power."
Mr. Hakki took a breath and kept going.
Mr. Hakki: "Fighters train their body, mages train their mind, shamans train their emotions and druids train their will. So if you want to be a powerful mage, you need to train your mind."
Olga raised her hand.
Mr. Hakki: "Speak!"
Olga: "Teacher, can you give more examples to star powers?"
Mr. Hakki: "Of course! I have seen a person that regenerates even fatal injuries, a person that brings disasters even if that person wishes not to, a person who absorbs the lifespan of others and many more. Some claim that even being a druid is a kind of star power. The belief is that the star powers may be handed to the next generation but this is just a theory. Some tribes have special abilities, people who investigated these tribes think that these special abilities come from the stars and get handed down to the next generation. And there is another group of researchers that think the stars choose a specific gene code, according to them this is the reasoning behind how a tribe can have the same ability."

Sakar: "Teacher! I think I am also chosen by the stars!"
Sakar got slapped again.
Sakar: "Why did you slap me this time?"
Mr. Hakki: "I don't remember you asking for permission to speak."
Sakar: "So you were the one who slapped me all this time."
Mr. Hakki: "And?"
Sakar got already beaten by him once. He knew that he had no chance, he couldn't even touch him.
Mr. Hakki: "Also, stand up while talking."
Sakar stood up. He decided to let it go.
Sakar: "Teacher, I have an ability that allows me to feel sexiness around. I call that sense 'sexar'."
Olga laughed out loud.
Mr. Hakki: "This is something you made up!"
Mr. Hakki got amazed by his idiocracy. But he still wondered where the name came from.
Mr. Hakki: "How did you come up with that name?"
Sakar: "You know the radars that are outside the city. Since that sense feels sexiness like a radar, I thought to name it that way."
Olga and Mr. Hakki were looking at him surprised.
Mr. Hakki: "It is surprising for you to think of that sensible name for your imaginary sense."
Olga: "I am also surprised! I never thought that you had a functioning brain at all."
Sakar: "I really feel sexiness! I am not lying."
Mr. Hakki: "Wait a moment here."
He left the class.
Sakar: "So you liked the name."
Olga: "I didn't like the name. I was just surprised that you had that kind of creativity. But now that I thought about it, one must be creative to be a pervert."
Mr. Hakki returned. There was a piece of cloth in his hand. He made a gesture meaning 'come' to Sakar.
Sakar went and Mr. Hakki blindfolded him.
Mr. Hakki: "Olga, go and look through the window. Sakar, now whenever a sexy person passes in front of the window, you will tell us. This is a test."
Sakar: "OK."
Olga was looking through the window, no one passed yet.
Sakar: "One is coming. She will turn the corner of the building in five seconds."
Olga looked to the corner and counted even though she didn't believe it, she still did it. When she said 'zero', a girl with wonderful proportions came into her sight by the corner.
Olga: "Teacher, he tells the truth."
The teacher hurried to the window. He saw the girl. Of course, he didn't think that the girl was sexy since they were only kids in his eyes but he still knew what kind of girl would be sexy for a boy around Sakar's age.
Mr. Hakki: "How did you feel her? You are blindfolded and not near the window. She wasn't even in sight when you told about her."
Sakar: "All thanks to sexar."
Sakar: "A good one is coming. A matured sexiness. Not a hatchling like the one who just passed."
Both of them looked through the window. They saw the president.
Mr. Hakki: "You may have really been blessed by a star. First time I see that kind of ability."
After Mr. Hakki lost sight of the president, he started to talk about how to strengthen a mind.

Same Crap, Different World
A young man from early 21st century wakes up in a different world. This world is like a typical setting of an fantasy isekai novel. But it is also not. There is magic, alchemy, magical creatures, different non-human races, peasants and nobles, demons and dragons. But there is also politics, persecution, supremacism of every kind, entitlement, slavery and other unpleasant human tendencies. In short, this new world does not differ much from his old one. However, besides him, there may be others who have made such a strange trip, and awakened into this new world. There certainly have been others, in the past. But more than people and other living things, there have been items. All sorts of items, which are regarded as otherworldly artifacts with unknown danger and power. And he himself is an artifact as well, albeit a living one. Therefore he has use for the powers that be. He is also given a role and expectations to fulfill, to hide his real value. And in all that he still has to make sense of what has happened, what is happening, and find a way back, if possible. Author's note: I write this project mostly in (except chapter 1) in 60-100 page (40,000-70,000 word) chapters, edit them as such and later cut them down for publishing into 7-11 page segments (depending on natural breaks in the flow). Therefore, each chapter may be divided into 10-15 subchapters.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
