Amused by his new stats, the two weapons given during tutorial gave him boost in attack and defense, and obviously the two items were absorbed immediately. The skill tree for crusader is purely buff and it only has one attack skill but with multiple combos those buff were too useful and convenient for him.

The skill is another buff but is under the passive skills. It allows Grae to absorb incoming damage by 60% and is converted as hp, a perfect combo for him.

“Wow this skill tree is awesome, thankfully I chose this profession it really suits me well. Time to absorb more items” he chuckled

He then checks the daggers that the two assassins were using, and surprisingly the two weapons were easily acquired by him.

“Certainly, I killed them while I am unconscious. I do not doubt this theory anymore even the boss type enemy during my tutorial was defeated with this childish body, I am thankful with Fenrir right now, I have avenged my family”

Grae noticed something in the ground it was a ring with a pinky finger cut cleanly, the ring was color yellow. He tried to pick up the item but the same thing happened to him with his father’s sword.

“Whose ring is this? Hmmmmmm..” he was trying to solve another mystery in front of him. Surely the place was filled with horrible deaths, guts everywhere and body pieces were scattered but this finger did not belong to his family. The assassins did not lose one also.

“Arrrrrr!” he shouted out of frustration

A lance can be seen flying towards the location of the young boy, it was not flying it was thrown several meters from the origin and is reaching the target with an incredible speed.

‘Boooooooom!’

The attack made a crater, the surrounding area is devastated again. But the lance was in the grip of a childish hand he seems to be standing in the middle of the crater. The young boy did not show any sign of fear or any kind of distress that normally appear to someone if they are in harm’s way. He investigated the lance and showed a wry smile as if he knows the owner.

‘Bassshhh’ someone landed to the ground

“Grae?”

“Yes it is me sir Boro!” he showed a distressed face

“How did you-…”

“I saw the lance flying towards the house and I immediately ran in the opposite direction fearing for my own life, and after the impact I investigated the place and found that it was your lance!” he interrupted the older guy with a sign of respect, still with a distressed face.

“I used the skill of the lance and found that your family were attacked by three assailants one is a monster and the two were humans, I even noticed the small body parts of your siblings and then I got your presence. I thought you were an assassin affiliated with Faheem. I am deeply sorry Grae it was my fault to lose my focus, please forgive me Grae”

“It is alright sir Boro, look I am completely fine, my father would do the same thing”

“Thank you Grae, do you know what happened?”

“My family were killed sir, two assassins attacked our parents and the monster, the minotaur killed my siblings huhuhu…..why did this happened to me huhuhu”

The item enabled Grae to hide his form has reached its limit and was broken because it has reached zero durability. He found it at the hips of the smaller guy assassin, maybe it was use for assassination jobs.

“….!” Boro was on guard he was surprised by the sudden appearance of a new monster, a child of the fallen minotaur.

“it is still me sir, I don’t know what happened but after the minotaur killed my siblings I lost conscious and when I wake up I noticed that my appearance were changed” he hurriedly explained

‘sigh’ Boro relaxed from the sudden tension

“I am sorry again for your family Grae, but pardon my intrusive questions, did you receive a power from the minotaur or did the minotaur inhibits in you?”

“It is alright sir. For your question sir, I really did not know what happened” with voice that sounded like he is in deep sorrow accompanied by a sad tearing eyes Boro was powerless and stopped asking him again.

“Grae…Master Durwin died today” He boldly announced and see if this young boy with horns and a tan colored skin with a ripped body is really Grae. Boro got what he wanted to say

“What? No no no no no…..all of my loved ones were killed and now sir Durwin huhuhuhu why?!” tears falls down on his face

“Don’t worry Grae, I vowed that I will rebuild the city of Tulan and I will protect it with my own life like my master did and you are the start of it”

“What do you mean sir Boro?”

“I can be your family Grae, if you allow me to of course” he smiled to the young boy

“You sure sir Boro?” he asked with a glee

“Yes, I am!” he then went near to Grae and removed his lance that was deeply struck in the earth

“Come, we will go now to the City of Dalen it is a beautiful and large busy city”

“Okay!” he responded with a big smile and he sighed inwardly due to the relief from trying hard to express his emotions on his expressionless face.

“Good that is the student of Master Durwin!” Boro was trying to ease the young child from the burden of the death of his family, there was no home left for him as the city of Tulan was also devastated, now it has become a desolate place.

‘Hmmmmmm but why did I lost 10% of my hp? Hmmm maybe it was the effect of my new ascended lance’ Boro then just shrugged the thought.
