《Deity's Fragments [Paused]》Chapter 34 - Invitation

One week later...
*** Dragna Shelter ***
Zack had been out hunting what was left of the week, having had more confrontations with the elves.
Today he decided to take the day off. He had hunted like crazy without taking a break and didn't want to create an obsessive habit of having to hunt.
He even felt mental fatigue after hunting so much. Also, his growth was slow. In the week, he could only get 43 points to maximize his energy and control.
He decided to go to the library and get some knowledge. Lately, he had been feeling like he was lagging behind. He couldn't get new powers as he didn't know how many he could get, so he saved the spaces for the best ones.
*** Library ***
A few races were using and learning new things. Although humans had an advantage in growing faster than the other races, their growth was also limited only to the power they had.
Only a few exceptions managed to overcome this limitation; even so, the powerful techniques of developing martial arts or magic are possessed by the superior races.
He walked through the shelves and looked for a section that caught his attention. After looking around for a while, he discovered some books of blacksmithing and some other occupations.
He hadn't found anything that interested him, so he decided to take the book and read it. Knowledge was never a bad thing.
He lasted about 5 hours reading all the books until he finished reading them all thoroughly.
*Ding!*
[Knowledge about artifact creation obtained]
[New option added to the Digitizer skill].
The power started running in Zack when the knowledge was integrated as if he knew it a long time ago.
'It seems that this power is not only limited to electronic equipment. If I get some requirements I can get a new skill' He thought.
Only these skills were rooted to his central core and not new single-core skills.
He opened up his database, and there was a new skill.
DIGITIZER - (Interface Screen, Program, Create(1))
The 'create' option had a 1 in a quote, so he gave a tap in the interface.
Create - (Artifact, Equipment, Blueprint(0))
Looking at the options, he probed further into its functions. He discovered that he could make armor just by sacrificing some cores and bodies. If he has a blueprint, the equipment or artifact can be obtained immediately.

If he didn't have it, it would take 6 hours to create a piece of equipment using his energy.
He wanted to test how a suit created by his ability would look like, so he decided to sacrifice some bodies he had saved.
He used the body of a second-grade medium-level bat that he hunted with the group and had not yet sold.
He gave the details of the equipment and let his power act. He lost over 200 energy in one go, but he already knew it would happen as he needed his power.
It pained him to sacrifice the mid-level crystals; Still, he took out 3 bat crystals and offered them.
[Materials collected]
[Starting material conversion]
[Estimated time - 6:00 hours]
He let his power finish the creation while he focused on other things.
Others would think he was relying too much on his ability. While he though different. The power only had the option to lighten what he can do. He could feel the whole process of creation and even the knowledge needed for this.
He left the store as he thought about going to the store of the demon who sold him the equipment.
Inside the library, a person came out between the shelves of books and looked to where Zack came out.
He picked up a round object and sent a message. "Target found."
Zack, for his part, didn't know someone was following him. He was very focused on learning about his ability and putting it to use.
"Good morning, sir... I hope you liked our equipment. How can I help you this time?"
Pleased with the reception, he didn't beat around the bush and explained what he went to do. "I have come this time to find out if you have any equipment and artifact plans for sale."
"If you want some custom equipment, we can do that, sir, so you don't need to take these blueprints to someone else," Insisted the girl.
"I don't think you understand. I need them for myself," he replied.
The girl wanted to ask something, but Zack's expression made her tilt her head forward and walk away.
Then she brought a stack of blueprints and showed them to him. Obviously, she wouldn't show the store's exclusive blueprints.
Zack skimmed through the blueprints one by one and decided to buy some after analyzing and understanding them.

[You have acquired the Demon Pants Blueprint]
[You have acquired Demon T-Shirt Blueprint]
[You have acquired Plane of Infernal Boots].
...
With all this knowledge, he decided to wait for hours to pass and produce one of the blueprints to see what the difference was between what was created by the blueprints and created by himself.
He came out of the tent, and without warning, his sense activated, so this one jumped up, moving from where he was.
'Who has the guts to make a mess on dragon property?'
His sense was still alert for some reason. He didn't think it was random, as this one always helped him out of sticky situations.
Looking around, he could see many races walking on the sidewalks and some on some mount in the streets.
He concentrated his ocular power to see everything more closely and in detail. Soon he saw two people watching from a blind spot that if it wasn't for his ability, he would never find.
The two people saw Zack's gaze and how he disappeared. They both looked around alertly, but Zack was nowhere to be seen.
A cold hand was placed on the shoulders of both people as a person appeared in the middle.
"Now, how are we going to get them to talk?" asked Zack. These two people were human, so they could be sent from the Moon family.
One of the two people tried to move, but his decision caused him to receive an electric shock that made him freeze in place.
The other person saw this and could only swallow. "We belong to the Chen Family. We didn't come here with any bad intentions."
Zack did not believe what these two people were saying. His senses were still active, so they were indeed up to something, or there was someone outside of these who was threatening him.
Seeing that Zack didn't believe them, the man tapped his shoulder to get something out.
Zack's hand created an electrical charge that wrapped around the guy's neck but without electrocuting.
"Wait, wait. I'm just trying to get my emblem out," he said as he pulled out a brooch that had the same symbol as the Chen family. A man was sitting in the shape of a lotus.
"I thought only Asians could join the Chens. Who are you?"
The other man had already gained some control over his body, so he said. "We are part of the outer branch of the family. We are hybrids between Europeans and Asians."
He now understood and could believe them, so he loosened his power a little but still kept them at his side. "What do they want?"
The same man who was electrocuted reached into a sleeve of his jacket which made Zack alert, but his concern lowered when he saw this one pull out a letter.
"The family extends a cordial invitation," the man said.
Taking the letter, he didn't open it for the moment. The two men still saw that Zack wasn't moving, so one spoke up. "Can we go?"
Zack denied and said. "I can only kill you because I got what I wanted. I can't allow you to come back and give information about me."
The two people were frightened and looked at each other with horrified faces.
[*If the master allows me, I can test controlling their cores and create a kind of control*]
'Do you think you can do it?' If this was accomplished, it would be something else for their arsenal.
[*The probabilities are 62%, I will send energy, so you have to ask them not to resist*]
Zack nodded and looked at both people. "Looks like you guys are in luck. I will make a contract with you, so don't resist and don't prohibit the passage of my energy."
The energy began to flow in his body outward as it entered the other two people's bodies. Without knowing what was happening, the two people let the energy breakthrough and connect to their core.
[*Taking control*]
[*5%... 10%... 45%... 89%... 100%*]
[Control successfully obtained]
Smiling, Zack looked at the people and said. "Your life is in my hands now. You are not allowed to say anything about what happened to anyone, not even about my powers. You will only be able to say that the invitation was successfully delivered."
The first man nodded several times as he was released along with his friend. They both looked to where Zack was without any hope.
He had already disappeared.

I will be uploading new chapters on Tuesday and Saturday each week at 4pm Mountain Standard Time. (The story has been described as X-men meets Narnia. Which while not entirely accurate, is still a fun way of looking at it.) (Note: As with my other stories, this one focuses more on the characters than on constant action. The Lite-LitRPG and Gamelit elements are introduced into the story gradually.) Author's Note: This is my raw, mostly unedited text. I am using RR to test out this story as I'm writing it to get a feel for how the published and edited copy will be received. Certain sections of the story will be changed or added to when I publish it as well.
