Tyger sighed as the ship reached the hole to the surface of the alien vessel. But they weren’t safe yet.
Tyger looked at the monitor on Jage’s flight panel. It was viewing the alien vessel which was behind the Star Guardian.
On the center of the alien ship, a light flashed, until the black hole expanded from the inside. It swallowed the entire ship and vanished in the blink of an eye.
Tyger and his team shouted into a cheer. They clapped their hands and hugged each other. They finally defeated the enemy.
“Unknown star ranger vessel,” a voice shouted from the com-link. “Come in, please.”
Tyger pushed the com-link button. “This is the Star Cats unit on the Star Guardian. I am Commander Tyger.”
“How did you destroy the enemy vessel?” the officer asked.
Tyger chuckled. “It is a long story, sir.”
“Well congratulation. You just saved the Earth.”
Tyger smiled. “Thank you, sir.”
He turned to Jage. “Take us to the main Star Alliance base kid.
Jage saluted to Tyger. “Yes, sir.”

In Washington D. C, the Star Cats stood on a platform in front of the white council hall building. Many people stood around the platform in honor of their heroes.
A brown lady in a white dress approached the microphone stand box. She was one of the councilors, in charge of the Star Alliance. “We would like to congratulate these five brave heroes who saved our birth planet from the devastating alien invaders. Although we lost many lives, we are still standing here because of these five heroes. Without them, we wouldn’t be here today.”
She handed them each a medal of honor.
Red stared at his medal and smiled. “So shiny.”
After the councilwoman stepped away, the audience clapped their hands.

Back in the cockpit, Tyger and his team sat down at their stations. It has been a long day since the ceremony.
Tyger approached the beeping com-link monitor and pushed the button.
The monitor flashes on, showing Patterson and Kristy.
“Congratulation Tyger,” said Patterson. “You made us all proud of you. And I am sorry for being a hard ass on you back on Bellona.”
“No problem sir,” said Tyger.
“So what do you intend to do now?”
“We planned to search for more missions to complete. It is the best of what we do.”
“If you find an alien relics out there,” said Kristy. “Be sure to send them to me.”
Tyger smiled. “I will keep that in mind.”
Patterson salutes. “Take care Tyger, and happy hunting.”
After the monitor flashes off, Tyger sat down on his seat. “So what are our options now? Just cruise around the stars? Hunt more space pirates?”
“I think we should go surfing through an asteroid field,” said Jage.
“We could sneak into the outer rim and cause a little trouble,” said Red with a devilish grin.
“I heard Planet Gala has a nice spa resort center,” said Rila. “We should check it out.”
Tyger turned to the white cat girl. “Maya?”
She shrugged her shoulders. “I suppose a random adventure would be a good factor for the sense of excitement. Any decision is neutral to me.”
Tyger smiled at the windshield. “I guess we will go find trouble then. Take us out Jage.”
Jage typed on his flight panel and placed his handles on the flight handles. “Roger sir!”
Tyger knew the galaxy was the most dangerous place in the universe. But his team were made to make it a safe place for humanity. No matter what they face or lose, failure was never their option. They are the Star Cats.

Grin the Cheat
There was a time when heroes roamed between the Four Great Cities. They fought for kingdoms and princesses and they lived and died by their valour. Or so the stories say. The way the minstrels sing it, everyone had a swashbuckling good time. Nowadays, buckles are rarely swashed. All the great beasts have been slain, all the great treasures unearthed. Princesses are few and far between — the ones worth fighting over, anyway — and the kingdoms have been divvied up between the sons of sons of sons of the heroes of old. No valour required. Frankly, the hero business is in a sorry state. Luckily for Grin the Cheat, thieving and murder are thriving as usual. If you have a moment, please vote for this story at Top Web Fiction.
