《I Shall Stand Supreme》Chapter 02 – Panda’s rage

I think this chapter turned out better than the last one. I tried to focus on showing, and not telling. I hope it felt smoother to read. Please comment your thoughts.
Well, Anyway, enjoy~!
The young teenager’s demeanor suddenly changed and the pressure exerted on Andariel increased for each step he took toward him.
This was the biggest difference between first stagers and second stagers.
Energy!
“You made me use this power. For this, you only have yourself to blame!”
After saying this, the young teenager instantly pressed his feet into the ground, causing cracks in the arena, like a spiderweb quickly spreading in the ground. A faint shine surrounded his fists and he leapt like a leopard at Andariel, throwing a punch at him.
“So that was his aim all along.”
Seeing the young teenager trying to hit his Dan tian, he understood the reason. It was to cripple and ruin his cultivation forever. Since not even those of the second realm can finds miraculous medicine able to heal one’s dantian, it would be the end for his cultivation and his road toward immortality if the attack succeeded.
However, this made him extremely furious. “You dare?!”
“En.”
To survive this, he would have to go all out. There was no use in trying to keep his techniques hidden anymore. He had to reveal the other forms of [Panda from the east]. After the first technique, [Nimble as the wind], there were several others.
“Watch out.” andariel took an orthodox stance. His feet slid apart, his right hand in front of his body with index, middle finger and thumb pointed upward while his pinky and little finger down. His left arm was curved like a bow, the hand formed like a scorpion’s tail. Standing like this, his right hand was directly in front of his opponent, pointing slightly down like a hunter.
“Panda’s rage. First stance – Incapacitate!”
Before the young teenager could punch him, Andariel used the back of his right hand to very smoothly take advantage of the momentum and push his opponent’s punching arm to the side. Then his left hand, formed like the tail of a scorpion, very swiftly struck out like lightning.
“Pa!” Followed by, “Arrgh~!”
On the ground, the young teenager held himself for face where blood oozed out. His nose was completely mutilated. The crowd was once more stunned. In their eyes, last time might have been luck. But now? Only idiots would believe in luck.

Andariel walked forward and released a kick, causing the young teenager to scream in pain once more.
“Do you know why I came here today? I only came to pass the test. No more, no less.” andariel spoke loudly enough for the surroundings to hear, “But what you did today, it makes me sick. To kill an old man, then fatally injure his wife? You are wicked, you are evil, your whole existence is a crime of humanity.”
His words caused everyone to hold their breaths.
“Today, everyone have witnessed you rebuking me, insulting me and even threatening to kill me. You have tried cripple me. Now what shall I do to you? Last time we met, you took my friend’s eye without remorse and beat me close to death.”
The young teenager didn’t respond and could only meagerly force out a couple of words, “I-If y-you dare to h-hurt me, I w-will tell my big brother!”
“You still have guts to say these things?”
“Do you know why I haven’t crippled you already? It’s because I want you to feel what they felt. I want you to understand the fear, the anxiety of knowing that your cultivation, your dreams for the future will end in an instant.
He turned around to the crowd, “All of you. Many of your loved ones have been taken from his hand. Do you want revenge? Do you want to extract it with your own hands?”
“Yes.” the crowd split in two and the old lady whose man was killed by the young teenager emerged. With a bandage wound around her head, she was carried by two men. Her face was stricken with sorrow, “Will you let me do it?
Andariel nodded.
“Thanks you, young man.” the old lady deeply bowed to him, then scurried forward to the young teenager. Her fists were clenched as she towered above him. She looked at him, hate filling her eyes, then spoke, “Before you die, please answer me. Why did you kill him? Why did you kill my husband?”
The young teenager looked up, he still held his face. Unfortunately, he couldn’t move. All of his energy was out and somehow, his legs were unstable so he couldn’t stand up. He gazed at the woman with disdain, then laughed, “Haha, you got to be kidding me. I killed him because it was fun. I really enjoyed it.”

“Then, die!” the old lady said, closed her eyes and took forth an old, rusty dagger and slashed down in a wide arc, trying to cut him in the throat.
“STOOOP!”
Just as she was about to slash the young teenager’s throat, a shadow flashed, and a man appeared behind her.
“Nooo!” Andariel screamed. Instantly activating [Nimble as the wind], trying to intercept the man before he could proceed with his deed. But it was too late, the distance was to great to cross in the second it took for the man to punch out
“Pa!” The man punched, and the old lady’s head burst like a watermelon. Her blood and brain matter landed on the ground, the knife a few meters away. Her limp body fell down on the ground.
“No! Granny Ling!” A little girl of about five years hurriedly went up to the arena and ran forward to the old lady.
“Are you okay, little brother?”
A man wearing a white robe with golden markings stretched out his hand for his little brother to grab. Short black hair and brown eyes. He was huge, almost two meter tall. While Andariel had lean and defined muscles, this man had bulky, big muscles that oozed of masculinity. His forearms were thick like tree trunks.
“Yes, older brother.” the younger teenager took his big brother’s handed and pointed at Andariel who stood a few meters away, “Big brother, he is the one who tried to cripple me.” he then whispered something in his older brother’s ear.
“You sure?” the older brother’s expression changed.
The younger teenager nodded, “Yes.”
“Fine.” the older brother sighed, “But don’t cause these kind of situations more. I can’t always be here to save you. The next time might very well be your last.”
“I understand, big brother.”
The young teenager’s big brother turned to Andariel. His face was indifferent as he spoke, “Andariel, right? I am Sengou, this idiot’s brother. I am sorry for the trouble caused by him. Unfortunately, I must cripple you, it is my duty as older brother.
“So the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, huh?” giving of a cold snort, Andariel once again took the first stance of Panda’s rage – incapacitation, “I guess words are useless at this point.”
Sengou shrugged his shoulders, “Unfortunately so.”
Andariel laughed, “No need to bother. What has happened has happened. You must surely understand why I did what I did, do you not?”
Ignoring Andariel, Sengou started to walk toward him, a faint smile spreading to his lips, "Let us begin.”
“Arrgh?!”
Suddenly, Andariel felt like his body weighing thousand times its normal weight. It was as if he was carrying an enormous mountain on his shoulder. This was the pressure of a third stager? Andariel felt his feet making marks in the ground.
“You are nothing but a first stager, yet able to not fall down on your knees facing me pressure exertion? Impressive, impressive indeed. I now understand why little my brother lost to you. It seems you are a rare talent.
The pressure increased even more. Slowly, Andariel felt his knees giving up. He could barely keep himself standing. The force was pressing him down.
“But in the end, dead talents are useless..”
“F*ck!”
Andariel fell down with a crash, his knees hitting the hard concrete floor. He tried to hold his back up by pressing down with his hands, but was barely able to so under the fierce pressure forcing him down.
“So you finally revealed the real person behind the mask. You are but a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” a apologetic smile appeared on Andariel's face, “What will you do now, cripple me? Kill me?”
“Haha!”
Sengou's smile turned even wider. For outsiders who didn’t know of the situation, the man looked like a good, humble man. But for everyone who knew of the situation and saw the past events, they knew that he was anything but good and humble.
“I will kill you. Got any last words to say?” appearing in front of Andariel, Sengou kicked out lightly. It caused Andariel to flap over onto his stomach, gasping for breaths, trying to not spurt blood.
But he could no longer help it, his whole body convulsed and he spurt out a load of blood hitting Sengou right in the face, “My bad, hehe~”

The Choice is Not Yours
Author's Note: (As of November 20, 2021) I rewrote all the chapters perhaps more than a year ago, but haven't announced that I did so. Because that kind of announcement would include something along the lines of, "I'm working on the story so expect new chapters!" But the truth is, I lack motivation to do anything. And I would hate myself if I broke a promise. I'm extremely sorry if you have been patiently waiting for uploads. These days, I've been studying, not well, but studying somewhat. I will definitely bring more to show, with regular uploads. If not this story then there's another story I've been writing that's really exciting to me. It's not exactly similar to this story since it has a male lead and he is a baneful asshole with even less morals. I hope you'll like it when it comes to existence. And I'll leave my announcement off with the aforementioned promise. Meet Amber, a tomboyish, unstable, and cheeky lass who likes to keep to herself. According to her, she'll live the rest of her life on auto-pilot mode, awhile holding onto the few things that make her remotely happy. However, she forgot that people never really leave you alone, be it humans or even the Gods. And exactly that happens, ending her monotonous life on such the Gods' whim. But at what cost to her? Will she be able to hold onto the things she holds dear? Or will she fail miserably and lose herself in the process? That's what the Gods want to know. Disclaimer: I do not own the cover photo.Warning: If you are easily triggered, I am not writing this novel for you.
