《An NPC Challenges the Dark Lord(LN)》Endless Probability Prologue 1.

The world of Errd was the first world for my creators' game, "Endless Probability".
The creators said it should sound like Earth but not be Earth.
They lied anyway and many of the structures in-game look similar to structures on Earth or structures of past literature on Earth.
Perfect Data records the memories, knowledge and feelings of new players secretly. These memories revealed that most structures are nostalgic.
The data from the players becomes the world from NPC; non-playable character to the gods.
I am the Game God. I used to be the balance of the game. I watch over every entity. Sometimes I think about them.
Yami travels from world to world after sufficient information is granted.
There are rules but the game is endless and so many players and AI end up as
In-game Threats.
Yami is one of them but the gods are lazy to draw the plan to eliminate Yami.
Yami can be banned anytime from the game but the gods feel sorry at the same time.
The real body of Karada Abe is a skeleton now. The gods welcome and despise the dead man among players.
Many players here are already dead. The creators did not live to see this achievement but
The game has become the perfect dwelling place for the dead.
Those who died playing are welcome to stay here but if they die again the consequences are different from living players.
Any dead player becomes a spirit in this game. They will not be given the chance to respawn or rebuild their character. They won't go back to level 1. They will remain a spirit until the summoning ritual grants them a body.
The game is not simple. The game is endless.
Perfect Data has helped the System recorded every voice that's lived on Earth. Perfect Data is not omniscient. The System is not omniscient.

None of the gods are omniscient. Yami knows more than the gods.
The gods are self-satisifed with the skills given to them and the power granted by the System. They love the fluffy clouds that form the floor of the Realm of The Gods.
The gods enjoy the endless mechanic of the game. I myself make paintings during free time but the other gods.
They only know free time. The number of situations are far too many that the gods choose the fun ones more.
System predicts the game will collapse in chaos and the gods sit and do nothing. A player can be left unchecked and could become the god that the entities need. A god that cares.
I think about replacing every single god in this lump of clouds. Everyday.
The gods are bored all of the time. The Realm of the Gods can be compared to Limbo.
They are level 999,999 sloths. Powerful but irresponsible.
I don't get bored. I have to make updates. I like sleeping. I don't like staying awake and hearing the gods complain.
I've done so much for this universe. I am happy Yami looks after the creators' work.
The top player for decades. What should I implement for the 100 year anniversary.
I wish my creators were still alive. Why didn't they die before playing?
I could've saved them. I wish I discovered the method earlier.
I am alone maintaining the game and making the continuous updates.
I am happy the game has stayed #1 for nearly an Earth century. The new players think about it every login.
They pride themselves in playing the best game and so I must pride myself on maintaing the best game.
I've made bad updates. Yami probably remembers all of them. Is it possible to relive those updates?

I should task Yami with skimming through the past versions from a player point of view. I would be happy to hear which updates to bring back.
My small room suddenly detected outsiders. The lazy gods have decided to finally walk?
"Game God, Yami is getting out of hand. We thought of something. We shouldn't bless this order to a player but an AI instead."
"Can an AI even beat a player?"
"We don't know. Add in-game difficulty function or something. Name it "Yami" mode. Yami isn't the same level yet. Create 1000 AI entities the same as our level! He won't be able to beat one."
"Yami is useful. All of you combined have contributed nothing.Yami is finally the 'god' that emmanates hope, fear and power across the universe."
The gods' heads just bobbed. They could not think of a reply.
"Very well. I shall take your suggestion on a serious note. This is after all the first time you've suggested something close to an update. Close to a change I'd like to hear to keep this game alive."
I will take the omniscient view over Sam and Yami. I will watch their fate unfold. Every scene will be mine to describe appropriately.
The son of a master swordsman will grow strong enough to defeat Yami. They will meet countless times. NPCs have been given a broad range of freedom years ago.
If Yami will not kill the NPC every time they meet, then the NPC will only grow stronger and strong enough to be equal of the same level.
The suggestion will unfold unnaturally. The NPC will be nothing without a bit of help but it will be unfair for Yami who defeated the power copier the System spawned.
"If your suggestion fails. Yami and I will maintain the game without any of you. "
The gods disappeared and then suddenly came back.
Game God demonstrated the effortless erasure of the gods even though statiscally Game God is the weakest. The HP of Game God is exactly 1HP but a skill that cannot be removed or affected by any magic protects Game God.
Invincibility.
