《An NPC Challenges the Dark Lord(LN)》Vol 1. Chapter 4: The Sins of Heroes

I was there when Team Unconquered fought the most lunatic of The Myths. I am the Game God. Of course I watch every battle anywhere and everywhere.
Team Unconquered were so very proud announcing to the World of Errd that they have defeated Lucifer and falsely claimed the bounty.
Yami should inflict the punishment they deserve.
They are unconquered because they run away and avoid the strongest. The Void should end their escape tactics for the last time. After Yami disposes of them I shall code an intricate and advanced checkpoint system for guild missions and bounties. There must be a proper check so the bounty is appropriately rewarded or kept away.
According to the battle records I stored somewhere…where is it…
Ah here we go, all filed neatly, the many times Team Unconquered avoided a battle but got the bounty:
[Major instance, The Myth: Lucifer]
“Splendid! I’ve never felt so respected fighting nine at once! Seven I mean since I killed your new recruits!”
Lucifer could not stop its maniacal laughter.
“We have to escape,” Althea had 0 mana as a healer.
“Who f***ing made this Fallen Angel so strong! This sh*t is an easy boss in other games!”
Brad kept swinging at Lucifer.
“I have many trump cards unlike other special NPCs! I almost feel like Yami The Dark Lord myself. Oops! That was blasphemy! He shalt not allow anyone else to be Dark Lord.”
Lucifer mocked the Dark Lord for being tyrannical.
Lucifer continued laughing and caught Brad’s legendary tier axe by the hand. It melted away.
“Bye bye expensive weapon. It’s time to get rid of expensive players too!”
“BraveHart we have to grab the bodies of the recruits…maybe there’s resurrection somewhere”
Althea pleaded with her tears.
“No they were weak. Leave them. We can replace them.”

The valiant BraveHart was only brave but did not have a single bit of chivalry.
Althea was in utter shock as if she met a new BraveHart. She did not expect his true personality would be this gray.
“Very practical decision! I think you can become a Fallen Angel too! I already know what you’ll do after fleeing from this fight… Damn it. I wish I knew how to use The Void.”
Lucifer thought deeply about the gold bounty reward that they will use to replace the fallen members.
Team Unconquered escaped as planned from the cloud realm Lucifer teleported them to.
“You didn’t hear my last one liner!”
“He will end your lies.”
Lucifer flies away finding another opponent to toy with.
[Minor instance, Player: The Beast Queen]
“The bounty is a billion gold enough for a legendary weapon. Don’t defeat her, we just need a piece of her cloth as proof of the bounty.”
BraveHart gave the instructions as Team Leader.
“You’ve come to the right place here in Tera!”
Tera is the largest jungle of Errd, home to many World Bosses.
“Let’s do tryouts first.”
The Beast Queen forced night time and summoned a hundred Shadow Bats.
Arcana easily wiped out the bats as a skilled mage.
“Heh I'm overqualified, Beast Queen. Today is your doom.”
“Unless you don’t have weapons in the dark of night.”
Everyone was astonished most of their equipment was gone.
“Monkeys do a great job of stealing. Plus an Invisibility and Silent status, you won’t notice a thing.”
“Same.”
Brad charged from behind the trees and slammed the Beast Queen. He ripped a piece of her fur garments.
“One day your cheap tricks to get a s*** ton of money will bite you back.”

The Beast Queen summoned poisonous snakes falling from the branches of the trees. None of Team Unconquered had immunity.
“Good luck getting your reward…if you can. I’ve imbued the poison with anti-teleportation magic. You’re WALKING home.”
Team Unconquered was defeated that day and Brad came right in time back to the World Guild carrying all his fainted teammates to resurrect them. They lost 90 billion gold as Lilith did not perfect Resurrection yet.
I should plead Yami to put them back in their place and end this façade. Then I must oversee the growth of Prince Gabriel. Sam was not a good choice as the one to defeat Yami.
Prince Gabriel is perfect. A bit of manipulation and System gave the same ability Yami has to a special NPC of my choice. Sam is too young and nothing right now. He’s not even an ant, he’s just a single bit of dust compared to Yami.

ALL HOLLOW
The Teir, a tiny machine powered by long-lost magic, has predicted the end of the world. Only two students from a prestigious university can stop it by mastering that same magic. So she steals it first and goes on the run to protect it from those who wish to use its power for their own gain. Gavriel Eng, her willing accomplice, is accustomed to running from his secrets, but he can’t run from his true identity any longer. Quebracho: The Legend of Two Heroes
After a violent and tough battle, you recover in an infirmary with your fellow soldiers, or in a more relatable scenario, visit your friend's house after a hard day of studying. You’d expect that both of them would play out normally for the most part, right? Well... Maxon Cortez and Jason McGuire had the same thoughts too. Yet, fate has different plans for them: Max ends up in an eerie location he doesn’t recognize and Jace gets transported to an entirely different world that works like a video game (sort of) by walking into a portal. As they travel along the lands, the two of them will encounter other individuals of many kinds, make friends new and old, gain powerful abilities, experience spectacular adventures, and obtain priceless treasures. However, Maxon and Jason will unknowingly become integral parts of a nefarious conspiracy that, if successful, will plunge both of their worlds into eternal chaos and darkness. So it’s up to them and their allies to thwart it. Side-Note: I’ll admit right off the bat that this story will be my first attempt at writing a LitRPG, so the in-game mechanics and terminology will probably look weird and be even nonsensical. If you notice something that’s out-of-place or just flat out wrong, I apologize. Not only that, it's been a while since I've wrote anything and thus I'm a little bit rusty. So please bear with me. New chapters once every Saturday or Sunday. Also, I'll be fine-tuning the grammar, punctuation, and spelling when I have the time. So expect a lot of random edits. This story is also available on ScribbleHub.
