《Son of Sparta》Son of Sparta: Dreadful Drawbacks

Kyren looked at Mors with complete awe. Not even a full hour has passed and he already achieved Enlightenment. It is a state where a novice mage is able to fully perceive the mana around them by using their Divine Sense. It is not an exaggeration to state that what Mors did could be considered impossible. This proved to Kyren that Mors is not normal.
"I am going to enter your Inner Realm with my consciousness. Relax yourself otherwise this will cause both of us major backlash." Kyren connected his hand with Mors's. He traversed the spiritual plane and entered his Inner Realm, which was the home of his core.
Kyren was stunned when he saw the state of his Inner Realm. Dark clouds, gloomy sky, and sounds of lightning and thunder rumbling throughout his mind.
"Bro, why is your cock out?"
Kyren ignored the question from Mors and focused on locating the energy radiating from his core. His vision wavered, indicating that he couldn't spend all day in here without being forcibly removed but that was okay, he'd be quick. His gaze wandered over to the murky sea of crimson. "Is your core over there? Try calling it over, there is only so much I can do myself. Since I'm here I can also tell you your affinity."
"Here, my core is right here." Mors handed him a black sphere with gray mist raging within. Little obsidian specks could be seen within the smoke, Kyren never seen anything like it.
"Are you sure this is your...core?" Kyren still sensed something beyond the murky horizon.
"I am sure, stop asking silly questions." Mors answered, but Kyren felt as if he was hiding something.
"I can not correctly gauge your affinity...It's something alien to me. You may need the appraisal of a mage if you want to find out." Mors was something Kyren could not understand, he was starting to think that the boy was not human. "Try calling on your powers to see what they do."
"Try explaining how I should do that first, sensei." Mors responded sarcastically.
"Emotions are the usual trigger for mana. Think back to something you have heavy emotion for, it should help guide you."
Mors did as he was told and thought back to his mom. After a few seconds he noticed nothing happened.
He tried again and thought back to his old life and the rage he felt when he was forced to live another life when all he wanted was nothing.

"Think harder. What's something that you feel...like FEEL heavy about??" Kyren asked, panicking a minor bit as he felt his conscious fading. If he did not help Mors right here and now then his plan would fail.
Mors was feeling pressured and his mind shut-down.
He was currently thinking of nothing. His mind was completely empty. He felt nothing, He was nothing.
After a few moments he realized that he was dissociating and came back to reality.
When he came to, Kyren was nowhere to be found in his Inner Realm.
He quickly came back to reality where he seen Livia calling out to Kyren and attempting to wake him. Jasper was still by Mors, lowly growling at Livia. She seen him awake and yelled, "What did you do to him!?"
"Nothing that I know of." Came Mors nonchalant response, although he was curious about what happened too.
Jasper chimed in, "He got what he deserved haha!" Which enraged Livia. She angrily stomped over to Jasper but was stopped by a muscular shoulder that belonged to Mors. He shook his head at her with a serious expression, silently indicating that if she moved against Jasper, Jasper would be the least of her worries.
Livia understood what Mors was implicating so she stood down. It was a fight she could not win.
Mors began to speak, "I don't know what happened to him but we should move. I feel numerous vibrations, as if a horde of people are storming this way as we speak. It's most likely the other trainees and staff." He said as he signaled Jasper to move out. As the duo moved forward, Mors felt a tug on his pants.
Livia, with pleading eyes, begged Mors to help her carry Kyren. Initially, Mors was going to leave his unmoving body here as bait so Jasper and him could make their get-away in peace.
Her hazel eyes bore into Mors's emerald green eyes. He accepted.
The four was now on their way to finish the rest of the miles. The time was around 1800, They still had ample time to finish.
The group ran as far and fast as they could with Mors deliberately restraining himself for the two so they could keep up.
They ran for thirty minutes when a group of six staff members were standing in wait ahead with sadistic smiles on their faces.
Mors and Jasper heard Livia curse, "Fuck! They aren't suppose to be here...did Kyren lie..?" The last part was a low whisper but with Jasper's and Mors's enhanced hearing, they both heard.

Livia came to a halt but Mors and Jasper...as well as Kyren, continued onwards.
Livia shouted for them to stop but her cry fell on deaf ears.
A staff member marched quickly to intercept Mors but was met with an unconscious Kyren. He caught the body and stared ahead with a confused face. Jasper took this opportunity to attack his knee which caused him to tremble. Mors followed up with a devasting stomp which caused the soldier to sleep.
Mors picked up his weapon(Kyren) and threw him to another guard who caught but immediately threw the body to the floor. It was already too late as Mors was flying through the air towards the man, delivering a kick to his face. He still had a little fight in him but a curb stomp from Jasper ceased all his movements.
The other four shared a look with each other before they split off in two's with their batons surging with electricity. Two went to handle Livia while the other two stayed and faced off against Mors and Jasper.
Mors ran up on his opponent and kicked up sand into his eyes. The man winced and Mors found his way to his back, wrapping his arms around his waist and lifting the two hundred and something pound man up with ease. Mors suplexed the man and caused him to land on the back of his neck. Mors flipped his legs over the man and suplexed him again as he never released his hold on him. Mors flipped his legs over again because he felt third time's the charm. He flipped his legs over again and suplexed again because he didn't like odd numbers. He did it a fifth time because he liked the number five. He suplexed him a sixth time because he was bored.
When he stopped he seen that Jasper was still fighting so he decided to loot the bodies of the comatose staff members. He found four half empty canteens filled with water, he combined them and had two fully filled canteens. Then he found a pack of salted peanuts and a carton of sardines. He was going to tease Jasper with the sardines but when he turned around Jasper was already there with his hand outstretched.
Mors looked behind him and seen the guard Jasper was fighting had his head entirely in the sand with his body standing unusually upright.
Mors asked no questions and handed him the snack and canteen.
He once again signaled for Jasper to move out but Jasper had a look of confusion, "What about her?"
Mors followed the direction in which Jasper's finger was pointing and saw Livia huddled in a fetal position as she got hit repeatedly by a baton. Luckily for her it was only one, she seemed to have defeated the other as he lie unmoving in the heated sand.
"She'll be fine." Mors said as he resumed onwards.
"Mors."
"Not our problem, let's move out."
"MORS."
"Not My Problem." Mors said with a dismissive wave.
Jasper figured he should handle it himself so he charged at the guard and attempted to deliver a drop-kick but the man saw it coming and took a step back, causing Jasper to fumble on the ground. Jasper softened his landing but his vision could not settle in time to defend from the man's attack. He was met with a handful of sand which caused him to hiss. The man didn't wait around, running up to Jasper and planting a strong front kick to his abdomen, causing him to fly back.
Jasper righted himself even quicker than last time but he kept his eyes closed due to the stinging sensation in his sockets. He was currently on all fours because it somewhat helped alleviate the pain in his stomach. He could hear the man preparing for another attack. Jasper met his charge straight on.
Jasper dodged a kick aimed at his face and swept at the man's undefending leg. However he wasn't done. before the man could even fall to the ground, Jasper stood on his hands and delivered two spinning roundhouse kicks aimed at the man's side and cheek. He felt all his moves connect.
However, It would take more than that to bring him down. Jasper felt a pair of strong arms wrap around him and slam him to the floor. The man then straddled him, "Your attacks lack intent." Was all that the man said before he would start to pummel the beastkin to relieve his anger. Suddenly, a pair of arms put the man into a choke-hold,
"And you lack awareness." Jasper heard Mors say.
