[Arc II-Royal Hunt]
While I was fighting Alvis, Rin had already reached at the end of the barrier. She stood there waiting for me for a few minutes.
"Hmm...this feels weird." Rin said while touching the wall of the barrier.
"Huh...I wonder if this can break...Ack! Wha...t...?"
She was knocked out by a black hooded person. When the person knocked Rin out, the barrier broke all of a sudden. The person then carried Rin and ran away from the place.
As I was running to her location, I saw the barrier broke. I was concerned because the barrier would not be destroyed even if the caster died. I was running as fast as I can but I did not see Rin anywhere.
My rage was increasing as I thought to myself that I couldn't protect her at all. The guilt in me was eating me alive. It was truly painful for me. I decided to look around the town to find her.
-Rin's Side-
"Mmm...Where...am I? It's super dark here."
The place that I woken up into was incredibly dark. I couldn't even see my own hands at all. I needed to find a way out of the dark place. As I was swinging my hands around to find a door or a switch for the lights, I hit a wall.
"Ow...Oh! A wall! I shall not let go of you Mr Wall!" I said with a smug face.
I was hugging the wall and moving sideways to find the door. Not long later, as I was doing that, I found a corner and I kept going but after a while I suddenly became suspicious.
"What? I passed four corners in total....and it wasn't too far to begin with....don't tell me...I'm in a box?! How is this possible?"

All of a sudden, it was bright again and the walls turned into something.
"Mhm...wait....isn't this my living room? Why am I in my house now? Actually....how am I in my house?" I asked myself out loud with a scared and confused face.
The walls then opened up and I can walk around freely. I was extremely confused as to what was going on. I was in a very dark box like room and all of a sudden, I'm in my house.
As I wandered around, I was in shocked and screamed. My mom and dad was dead from a knife stabbed into their hearts in the kitchen.
"AAAAH! MOM...DAD? How is my dad here....? This must be a dream! My dad already passed away when I was young so there's no way this is real....but then..."
"This is the true reality...."
Someone whispered that into my ears but when I looked around, no one was around. I kept looking around the house to find the mysterious person. He or she must have the answers to why I'm here and where.
"Now now....calm yourself down, Machiyuki Rin~"
"Ho-How do you know my name? Who and where are you?! Why is my mom and dad dead? Where am I?!"
"Wow~ So many questions but I guess it is natural after all~"
Rin's Mind-(I can't make out the voice. It sounds like a male but a female? Aaah...forget about that for now and focus.)
"Well then...I shall answer one of your questions. What will it be~"
"Where am I then?!"
"What do you mean 'Where are you'....you are here~"
"What is that suppose to mean? My mom should still be still alive."
"You were living in a false reality. This is the true reality. This is your original life!"

"Wha-. No! There's no way this is true! I have a great life with my mom....I made some friends too...so thi-"
"Wrong!"
"Eh...?" I was in distraught.
"Can't you see, Rin-chan? This place is the truth. You were in the false reality that Amane Sora made~"
"Sora? No! He did not make anything! You're the one who is making this. I know for the fact that my mom is still well and healthy!"
"You really are hard to be manipulated. Welp, I wasn't planning to use but you leave me no choice then~"
"What? What is that suppo- Wait! Don't tell me..."
"Goodbye Rin-chan~ This...is your new life now~ Hehehehahahahahahaaa!"
"Wait! No! Ack...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"
My brain had a tremendous amount of pain. I did not want this. That person...knew Sora. In that moment, I wished someone will save me from this...hell.....
-Sora's Side-
"Damn it! RIN! WHERE ARE YOU! Shit! Where the hell is she?!"
Two hours had passed ever since the barrier broke. I kept running, running and running but to no avail, I couldn't find her. As I was squating down to catch my breath from the constant running, I decided to look for her again.
When I was running pass the park, I found her laying down unconsciously in the middle of the park.
"Rin!? Oi Rin! Wake up! Wake up! Shit! I have to take her to the hospital."
I quickly carried her on my back and ran to the hospital as fast as I could. Her life was endangered because of my uselessness. I then gave Rin to the nurses and they took her to a room.
I prayed and prayed that she would be safe and nothing was wrong with her. An hour had passed and the doctor finally came out.
"Doctor...How is she? Is she okay?"
"There's...nothing wrong with her but she doesn't seem to wake up at all. Her internals are perfectly fine. Her body doesn't have any wound or bruises or scratch at all. For now, she should rest."
"Ah...okay then......Tch..."
As I walked out of the hospital, I was in pure rage. I did not know who harmed Rin. It was most likely one of Alvis's comrades. I will kill them no matter what the cost as I had already stained my hands with blood thousands of time.
"Kekekekeke...Doesn't he look like a fresh prey, Kasumi-chan?"
"I know right☆ He looks like fun to be toyed with☆ Why not you go first, Da-ni-el☆"
"Kekeke...Then...don't mind if I do!"

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
