“Ugh, I have the worst handwriting on the face on the planet… but this should be good enough. Right?” Cassie just shook her head and got up from the chair. “Honestly, I think it’d be better if I just delivered these, better than sending it and the mail taking eight years to send it.” She nodded and got her jacket and the ten letters. She then went out of her apartment.
“Oh? Where are you headed to?” She looked to her neighbor and found him unlocking his door.
“Oh I’m just delivering some invitations.”
“And where’s mine,” She smiled.
“You can come if you want, it’s not exclusive to us.”
He chuckled at her, “You’re a sweet girl, but no me and my wife are just going to spend Christmas with each other.” Cassie smiled and nodded to him, “But you have fun this year, and here’s to a good new one.”
“You two.” Cassie kept walking until they reached the stairs where she began to think to herself, Even though this year seemed to be okay, I can’t help but think something’s off. She shrugged to her thought and kept walking when she took out her phone and called Jessica. It went to voicemail, and Cassie sighed before she called again and instantly Jessica picked up.
“What is it?”
“I need you to help me with something.”
“Ha, so the tables have turned-”
“I’ll give you one of the dresses Akuma bought me, I sent you a picture of the one I was thinking of giving you.”

“Wait, he bought you dresses?” Cassie said nothing when, “And one, meaning there’s more?”
“Yep, I’ll let you take your pick, you can all of them or just your favorite and I’m sure Seko would love seeing you in any of them.” Jessica sighed.
“Fine, let me change and I’ll be right there.” Cassie smiled to herself and took another look at the letters she had, she counted them all and was sure she had ten. Once she was sure she began waiting for Jessica to arrive.
…
Once she did, Cassie got in the car quickly as she ran from the frigid weather. Jessica looked at her once she was seated in the passenger’s seat.
“Okay, can I know what we’re doing?”
“Well for one thing, you, Quana and Keris owe me a lot.”
“You already got me, but how do they owe you?”
“They know.” Cassie said, “But, I have these invitations I wanna give to all of them.”
“For what?” Jessica began to pull the car off.
“It’s for a dinner party I decided to have.”
“Wait, you’re going out somewhere? With other people… and you’re gonna stay there with no complaints.”
“You make it sound like I don’t ever do that.” Cassie said sitting back in her seat.
“Because you don’t.” Jessica said with a snicker, Cassie just rolled her eyes, “But what compelled you to think to do this?”
“I got to looking up food one night and some of that stuff looked really good. I was gonna make some of it, but then I decided I’d just leave it up to the professionals, those people just so happen to be the same people who own the restaurant you work at.” Cassie brought her hand to her mouth, “Some of that looked so good I wanted to order some for myself.”

“Don’t drool in my car.” Jessica said, Cassie shook her head.
“But yeah, I figured, why not give everyone a nice Christmas dinner to thank them for everything.”
“It’s a good idea, for sure, but I feel like there’s something else about this.”
“What do you mean?” Cassie said.
“I don’t know, you don’t just do things just for the sake of doing it. There’s always some kind of catch.”
“Is that how you really think I am?”
“With you it’s always hard to tell.” Cassie huffed a bit.
“I really do just wanna thank them all and get myself some leftovers for a bit.” Jessica shrugged and kept driving.
“Okay, I guess.” Once it got silent in the car, Cassie turned to look out the window and tried to contain her laughter. Of course there’s something else. If I spend Christmas with them I won’t have to see them on New Years. I’m gonna be playing my game and so I don’t need anyone telling me to come over just to watch a clock for an hour.
“Let’s get the easy people out of the way first.” Jessica said, “Let’s stop by Brayleigh’s place.” Cassie nodded and they began to drive to his house.
…
Cassie didn’t want to see him, so all she did was drop the letter off, knock and made a dash to hide. She waited for a bit and heard his door open, after a second, the door closed. She sighed slightly, and began to walk back to the lobby of the apartment complex. Once she got back in the car, the pair drove off.
“Maybe Chris and Shugi? We can get them out of the way together.” Cassie nodded as she made sure she gave the right letter.
Back with Brayleigh, the male had opened the letter only to see two notes inside, he took the neater of the two out first and read it.
“Cassie actually wrote me a letter?” After a second he couldn’t believe what he was reading and checked for any indication of when it was written, when he found so he couldn’t help but smile fondly. “She really did like me back in highschool.” He chuckled.
The pair was close to their next destination, when Cassie suddenly got a message from rayleigh.
“Is that Leigh?” Jessica asked.
“Yeah…” Cassie read the message and slowly found her stomach dropping. She covered her mouth and began to talk to herself, “There’s no way… n-no way I-” She shook her head, “No, I got rid of that letter I-” Cassie groaned and rested her head in her lap.
“What’s wrong?” Jessica asked.
“Ugh… don’t talk to me about it!” Cassie whined. I can’t believe I gave him my confession letter! I thought I got rid of that!
“You’re so weird sometimes.” Jessica said.
