Chapter 7: Make It For All!

The feast is about start and the crowds are getting livelier. While Karsus stays atop the roof alone. He feels sorry for his lost yet he must be positive of things for him to endure. Although he cannot turn back the time, there are people who needs him the most

“Aren’t you joining us for the feast?” Someone asked behind. Jinx!

“I’m having the time of my life, looking things on a bright side” Karsus said, “And I though you are going to hide and peek in there forever” Karsus grinned.

“So you noticed…..hihhi…. well I was just thinking you might need some little space” Ariadna said.

“Or you just want to see me crying?” Karsus jokingly said.

“Of course not, I’m not going to do that. That’s too rude you know!” Ariadna justified while she bent over and hugged him from behind.

“Look at them honey, they are everything.” Karsus said.

“You seem thinking deep lately, huh?” Ariadna asked.

“Well yes, the fact that I am being haunted by bad guys. I might endanger your village” Karsus said.

“Now that’s rude! It is our village and it has been ages darling. You are always safe here.” Ariadna said

“I always pray for that… and….” Karsus paused, “You can come out now son” Karsus said. Jinx again.

“aaarhggggghhh!”

“Why do you always do that father, why don’t you let me sneak for a while?” Julius questioned.

“Not under my nose, you have mountains to passed before you surpasses mine… Hehe” Karsus said.

“So it is the nose then, are you a descendant of a wolf or something?”Julius jokingly said.

“It’s a phrase, what I mean is my skill compared to you are heaven and earth, I am a master, M-A-S-T-E-R.. do you copy?” Karsus said.

“Past tense, how about I’ll show you some demonstrations!”, Karsus raised his two hands above, and murmurs something.

(After 20 seconds…. Nothing happens).. O_o

“Ahem, is that a new crazed gesture? Wohow that surprise me.. harharhar” Karsus mockingly said while he raises both of his hands.

“No father, just wait this is……….here we go, I’m coming! I’m coming!’ Julius said.

‘What the? Ariadna when this boy learns some nasty words….’ Karsus murmured.

Then Julius’ body started to glow covered by red color. Then it started to crawl to both of his hands. It creates a blinding light then it shoots out above. A fireball was produced and went high above. When it went high enough, it burst out that creates a ball of cracking light.(Fireworks!)

‘Shesshhhhh, Booooom, Crackle, Crackle, Crackle’

“hahahahaha, I did it.. hahaahah.. Did you see that mother, I’m invincible, don’t you think, wohooow” Julius wipes his sweat from overly exert concentration, “So what do you think father?” Julius said.

“Ahem, that’s flashy, and you just invited the Empire to get to you… then they’ll force you to join… then you have to leave this place…. But, congratulation son, you’re a 10 levels below mine.. Keep up the good work” Karsus winked and gave thumbs up for him.

“Isn’t that almost nearly at your level darling? I guess you are just envious! HIhihihi.. Besides the whole village is under illusion magic by your Grandpa so it will look ordinary from outside.. so you don't have to worry son... He's just trying to scare you” Ariadna giggled.

“Aha nearly my level, No no no, mine is like an inferno burning your soul taking you deep under.. bwahahahaha… But that is just a secret.. Please don’t tell anyone, Okey" Karsus bragged as he point his finger to Ariadna and Julius.

“Ahmmm, okey, so son, how did you managed to learn how to manipulate your magic in just one day… As I remember, It took me some weeks to cast something, and not powerful enough to be called a trump card’ Ariadna asked.

“I don’t know It just comes out naturally” Julius said.

“What? That’s a cheat son, what’s your Granpa said about your affinity?” Karsus asked.

“Everything” Julius said.

“Everything? You.. You …mean you possess …aa…a…all affinities?” Ariadna stuttered, looking surprised from what he heard.

“Yes, why?” Julius said.

“Oh my!”, Ariadna fell on his knees, “It’s you! It’s you, I’m so happy to be your mother!”, she runs to Julius and hugged him tightly.

“Ahm, father… Why is mother acting so strange… Did she bang her head earlier?” Julius asked.

“We have to celebrate this… We have to celebrate this… ATTENTION!” His voice reverberated thru the entire village.

“Huh, that’s the captain’s voice, where is he, there from the roof! Everyone let’s gather there!” Someone screamed from the crowd. Then people gathered themselves below the house.

“Today is the day of my day!”

“Happy birthday sonny!” someone from the crowd shouted.

“Thanks you! Moreover, I thank you for… well… food, and tables, music and others.”

“This is nothing compared to your sacrifices” again someone from the crowd shouted.

‘We are forever indebted to you sonny’

“That is not why I called everyone’s attention. The truth is…..”

“That’s the captain! Even his speech always sucks… I feel him!, hwahahahahaah hurray!” one of the elites shouted

“wohohhhh, hurray! I agree…. Long Live the Captain”, from the crowd.

“long live the mages that are hiding here!” from the crowd.

“Hurray! Hurray! Awooo.. Awoooo!” someone broke the silience

‘Is that a compliment honey?’ Karsus whispered Ariadna.

“Of course Darling, hihihi.. That’s the longest speech I have heard from you” Ariadna said.

“So I should be happy?” Karsus frowned.

“You should be!” Ariadna said…

“Bwahahahahahahah. Very well then... Let the feast begin!” Karsus shouted.
