Nica
NICA WAS READY TO FORGIVE THEM, when their house got attacked. She was in her room, still pissed off about what happened. Sure what she did was wrong, but does her mom really had to reprimand her? She was gonna connect the headphones to her phone when it vibrated. She checked her phone and saw a message.
From: Dr. Collusus
Nica, I got a mission for you. Meet me at the usual place in three hours.
'What is it this time?' she thought. Her parents and siblings doesn't know it, but she was actually an assassin. A spanking hot assassin.
At dinner time, they were silent. Spell awkward, T-H-E-W-A-R-R-E-N-S.
When dinner finished, they did their chores and went to their own rooms. At quarter to nine, she snuck out of her room and headed to an abandoned warehouse just a few blocks away from their house. She had been balancing her normal life and assassin life for the past five years.
She was in high school and everything was just fine. She became an assassin when she was ten, when she suddenly stumbled at the very warehouse she was going. There was an organization there and they were having a 'business deal'. The organization was Libero, and she was at their mercy, but Dr. Collusus stopped them and recruited her instead. She was then trained to be a killing machine.
When she entered the warehouse, she saw her usual client, Dr. Collusus, in his usual attire: black tuxedo and a magician's hat. He handed her a file and in there was the information of the person she had to kill.
"You got a week to complete the mission. After doing it, I'll send the money to your account. The usual amount." he said.
"Dr. Collusus, I have been working for you for five years now, but uh-"

"You want a raise?"
"Well, not really. Three million's a huge amount. I was just gonna ask when can I meet the boss?" Dr. Collusus raised an eyebrow. "You know, the big boss of the Libero?" she had never met the boss, but she had heard his voice once.
"Hmm. I'll try. The boss is a busy man. But I'll try hooking you in."
"Thanks Doctor!" she left and went to carry on her mission. It took her three days to find and kill the target.
"Well. Well. Mr. Waters." Nica said in a taunting voice.
"You're one of Libero's killing machine!" Mr. Waters said nervously.
"That's not nice." she smirked.
"What do you want? I already gave the Astil Codex to Brown and White!" he exclaimed.
"Well, we, killing machines, don't ask the higher ups why we kill. They just order us and we do it! So, bye-bye." she dragged him by the collar and threw him out the open window.
***time skip***
Nica was in her room, reading a book, when Nico went in.
"What do you want?" she asked, not taking her eyes off the book she had been reading.
"Are you okay?" he asked sheepishly. The two were the closest among the four.
"What kind of question is that?" she closed her book and eyed him.
"Well, it's been three days since we argued. You're acting normally, too normal for that matter, but I can sense you're still mad." he sat next to her.
"I am fine. I've forgiven you. All of you. I suppose I can't be too selfish. I have to share what's mine with you guys."
They were interrupted when Nica suddenly stepped on the remote and the TV flickered.

"-found on the ground this morning. The police claimed he committed suicide by jumping out his window. His family said he's been stressed for the past three months and he couldn't take it anymore, resulting to his suicide. Mr. Victor Waters is, or was one of the-" Nica turned off the TV.
"Nica?"
"Nothing."
"Uh huh. Well, we should go downstairs and you should apologize. Especially to mom. She has been strange lately." she was not able to decline when Nico started dragging her downstairs.
They reached the living room and saw everyone. Her dad was on his day off so he had been spending his time on their home.
"Nica wants to tell you something." Nico announced. He left her standing in front and sat next to Nis and the two started bickering.
"So, what do you wanna tell us?" her mom asked.
"I just wanted to apo-" she breathed. "I just wanted to apo-"
Why can't I say it? she said in her mind.
"Look guys, I just wanted to say so-" she sighed. "I just wanted to say so- Ah! Dang it!"
"Nica, words." her mom reminded her.
"Tch. Don't you get it? I want to apo-"
*BOOM*
"What was that?" Nis asked.
"Dad, was that one of your landmines?" Niche questioned her father.
"We have landmines?" Nico asked too. "If we do, why is it blowing off?"
The saw their dad's nervous face. If the landmines are blowing off, there's only one reason:
"We got intruders." their dad announced.

Extermination Order
So it turns out that anime got something right: If you get hit by a truck, you're going to another world. Dennis became subject to that unknown quirk of reality when crossing a busy city street (despite having looked both ways). But that was quite some years ago. He's been around this new world 'Nassur' a time or two and knows how to live a good life. He also knows that adventuring friggin sucks. So, what is a man to do in a fantasy world with a shoddy leveling system that constantly suggests getting more XP, and a condition set by the gods that you must make the world a better place? Pest extermination. But reality is often fickle. Perhaps one day it is only rats, another, mechanical centipedes with lasers. Maybe the Dark Lord needs a shoulder to cry on because his dungeon simply can't be ready in time for the adventurers he likes to do battle against. Another poor soul from Earth could appear just as dazed and confused as the day you'd first arrived, requiring a good long talk about 'hey, what the hell is this, man'. And maybe... just maybe, that thick book of owed favors comes back to haunt you. For a man who desires a peaceful, productive life, Dennis can find it rather difficult for a week to go by where something doesn't go awry. This series originally started on r/HFY, [Link] but I decided to post it here since people are so positive about it! Posting rate is, and likely will continue to be, rather inconsistent. Of Righteous Evil
To wield the magical Arts. The power to manipulate nature itself. Follow Silas on his journey as he learns what it means to be a Mage. With war brewing on the horizon, Silas' plan to become a hero clashes with the harsh reality of conflict. Torn between contradicting emotions, he will have to reconsider his perceptions of both good and evil. Does the end truly never justify the means? Note from author (13.09.20): Sentences have been shortened, less commata used. Paragraphs have been split up. Meant to be "realistic" fantasy, with no overpowered protagonist or evil sorcerer trying to destroy the world. The focus lies on the characters, their progressions and their inner conflicts, coupled with an intricate magic system. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated! HIATUS Updates: 12.12.20 Chapter 1 & 2 are written together. The backstory of the parents will be integrated into one of the later chapters. 20.12.20 Prologue has been rewritten, fight added. Will now continue writing the chapters until the first arch is finished. 19.01.21 Chapter 15 is written. Will hopefully be able to write more from now on, university has been kinda rough these days. 08.04.21 Chapter 16 & 17 has been written. Beginning will be rewritten (again) to start with chapter 3. Chapter 1 & 2 will be shown through reocurring dreams / nightmares. 10.08.21 Rewriting of the first arc is complete and has been proofread twice. Plot of rest of book one is 80% complete. Will publish chapters once first book is finished and proofread. 06.12.21 Second arc is finished (chapter 24/31-33). First draft will likely be finished around February, after which I will edit a few suggestions of my beta readers and publish it on RR. Release schedule: Once a week on Sunday, chapters are around 3000 words long. (HIATUS, see last chapter for more info) Cover art by Riverman09
