Nis
NIS STOPPED NICA AND NICHE BEFORE THEY KILL EACH OTHER. After they found out what the Codex is, Nis and Nica showed it to Niche and Nico.
"All this time, the Codex is the headphones that we've been arguing about?" Niche asked, who couldn't believe it.
"Yeah. The Codex is the manual on how to use and reproduce the Astil! 'Project Astil Codex' is mind control!" Nis exclaimed.
"You two read it?" Nico asked.
"No, just him." Nica said, and she pointed at Nis.
"Guys, we can't let them have this. It'll endanger the world." Niche stated.
"No shit, Sherlock! But we can't let them harm, or worse kill, mom and dad either!" Nica yelled.
"Mom and dad will understand! They understand sacrifice than most people do!" Niche retorted.
"Shut up Niche! I can't believe you're sacrificing them!" Nica shouted.
"Their sacrifices won't be in vain if it means keeping the world safe!" Niche shouted back.
The two started to call each other names. Nis saw Nico by the corner, just watching the two as they argued. He needed to stop them from arguing, but he knew both sides had a point. He suddenly noticed Nica notch an arrow, Niche on the other hand already pointed her gun at their younger twin sister.
"You wanna kill me? Do it! You've always been jealous of me anyway! You can't accept the fact that mom and dad likes me more because I'm the eldest and the most responsible! Also, they may not know it before, but least I'm not an assassin working for the bad guys!" Niche taunted. Nis knew the insult wasn't directed to him, but it stung.
Nica's hair shadowed her eyes. "I may have been jealous, because they pay more attention to you. I admit, you're beautiful and much smarter than me. But don't involve my part-time job here! You and I both know we're not innocent. We've both killed. You got your hands dirtied by blood and so do I!"

"Okay you two stop it!" Nis almost shouted. He was never good at times like these, he was only a mechanic. "You two both got a point! But do you really think arguing--much less killing each other, would help us in this situation? No!" the arguing sisters stopped and looked at him. Their weapons down.
"We must stop arguing! Mom and dad would never like it! We must work together! We need to save mom and dad, yes. But also, we need to find a way Libero won't get hold of the Codex!" he finished. He was breathing hard. Nico just stared at him, eyes wide.
"You're right. Sorry Nica. It was irrational of me. I'm supposed to be the eldest and the responsible one, and yet, I acted that way. I'm sorry." Niche said.
"Yeah. Sorry too, Niche. We all got our own characteristics. I shouldn't have singled you out." Nica replied.
"Thank God you two made up already. Do you know how horrible you two sound screeching at each other?" Nico commented and stifled a laugh.
"Now, we got more pressing matters to attend to." he sighed. "I found where Dr. Crazy is. I traced his video call."
"Where is he?" the three asked.
"I traced the call in Brooklyn. I believe he's holding mom and dad in a warehouse. And I think, he knew we can trace his call, that's why he never told us where the meeting point is." Nis started to explain.
"First off, Dr. Crazy, can track us because of the Codex. For all I know that thing's got a tracker." Nico pointed out.
"Meaning Dr. Crazy knows where we are." Niche added.
"Dr. Crazy is probably watching our every move." Nis said.

"You guys. Stop calling Dr. Collusus, Dr. Crazy." Nica told them.
"Nica dear, his name is a tongue twister. Dr. Crazy is much easier than Dr. Coll-whatever." Nica face-palmed.
"Fine. I'll cook dinner. We need to rest and train. We also need to figure out the Codex. Knowing mom and dad is in danger is already bad. Now, knowing the world is in danger too, that's worse." Nica said and trailed to the kitchen.
"Maybe we should contact the government?" Nis suggested. "They might help us."
"Are you nuts?!" Niche half-yelled. "Libero is a world-scale terrorist organization! They've probably snuck men in the government system."
"We can't trust anyone." Nico added.
"What about the people mom mentioned. Agents Six and Seven?"
"I don't know Nis. I believe we have to do this on our own. Those two agents, they'll probably be our last resort." Niche faced him. "You continue studying the Codex. We need to figure it out. We have to find a way to stop Libero, without harming mom and dad. Got it?"
"Yeah. I'll, uh, try my best. I'll go to my room." Nis said and left.
He scanned the Codex, he's got an idea to trouble--or better, stop Libero. But he shouldn't tell his siblings, yet.
The element of surprise.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
