《Sorcerer King》Golden Horde

I looked at myself in the mirror, I was tall and wearing full Golden armour showing a very imposing figure. I went out of my tent and hopped on my Red Flaming Horse. I called for my First Lieutenant Pariaich to rally the troops, soon 10 000 men stood in front of me all Inline. After I was ready I started my speech:
"Men today we ride out into battle, we are not going to be fighting other clans today, We will be fighting the beings you had been trained to since its beginning dragons or rather there bastard child's drakes. Some of you will not return, and I can guarantee that to my will widows will weep and hate me; however, I expect one and one thing only from all of you "Victory. I hate failure and those who fail me only know of one thing, death, therefore, I encourage you do not fail me".
"Long live the Auguste Clan."
"Long live the Auguste Clan" A considerable roar that seemed to shake the earth itself burst from the soldiers. Among the many new recruits were unlucky to be drafted onto there first battle as soon as they started, they were probably the majority among those who would die today. Not that I cared about the recruits, there could always be more, and there is no lack of them; however a more pressing matter was was making sure my Golden Horde did not lose out to my elder sisters Violet Army.

Lionel was currently extremely nervous. He was marching alongside the troops, and he couldn't believe it. He was marching alongside the Golden Horde. The Most ferocious army in the Endless Mountains. Famed for the brutal tactics they were known to be one of only two victorious armies in the Endless Mountains. Being undefeated since it was formed ten years ago by The commander in chief and the Colonel pariach. Lionel knew that they were currently marching off to the Western port city of Nillium, his hometown, Lionel could not help but be worried for his family and friends as he turned his attention back to the road he saw Nillium in his sight already and with determination he would save his family and friends.

On the Western expanses, there were thousands of hideous creatures attacking a city, surrounded by mountains and the Nillium River the port city of Nillium was said to be a natural fortress but against massive creatures which were wild and could fly the City's garrison was struggling with fighting them. The city lord was the most powerful person in Nillium. He was an Elemental Warrior adept at the element of fire. He was currently in the air fighting what appeared to be more than 100 drakes at once. He would have normally been able to kill them. However, as drakes were attuned to fire it was proving to be too hard and with more coming toward his direction. the City Lord could only think "Was this the ending of everything that he had done becoming the Second cycle Elemental master at the young age of 40, this impressed even the Auguste Clan which offered him a post at the important port city of Nillium."
All of a sudden the weather changed the sky was illuminated by golden lightning signifying only one thing, the earth started shaking, and on the horizon, one could see an army approaching in lightning fast speed.
The Golden Horde

Without even speaking Erasmus took out his sword and flew to the sky. He saw the City Lord struggling with fighting drakes. He waved his sword, and a lightning slash cut all of the drakes into two pieces.
"City Lord it has been some time since we have last seen and it seems to me that your skills have declined."
"Hahaha, Erasmus I would have never thought there would be a day where I would be happy seeing you."
"Is it so, well we could talk over the old times later as for now let's have some fun."

Erasmus plunged into the battlefield between the city garrison and the drakes. Slashing the drakes apart with his Lightning sword and tearing them apart with his left hand. He kept on fighting for hours until it started getting to him, sweat stung his eyes like tiny vipers, dripping down from a gore sprayed face. All around was nothing but a whirlwind of disorder and violence, a blur of colour and vicious motion. The parched, panting tongue collected the dust-choked air which intermixed with the bitterness of iron.
Deafening, blood pounded in the ears, drumming to a ferocious beat inside the helmet. The sound was barely enough to obscure the cries of men, the screams of injured Drakes, and the thunder of striking steel flesh.
Pain from a dozen wounds barely registered, being drowned out by the heightened, throbbing ache from the shattered hand which hung trembling on the right side. Above the lower scent of sweat was Erasmus bleeding all over.
He started chanting an old spell "May the spirits of the forgiven heal me" his shattered hand started healing all the blood receding back into the flesh. The wounds around his body wounds disappeared to the naked eyes, and his fatigue was gone
He looked behind him to see the Golden Horde slaughtering the drakes however there were just too many. He looked ahead of him and saw the thousands of these hideous creatures coming. He finally decided to take care of this by him by using a Spell of Destruction.
Looking at the Golden Horde and the City's Lord and garrison amplifying his voice he said: "Retreat If you do not wish to die."
It's about time I got rid of these hideous creatures for good. Erasmus sighed and started chanting "Limit of the thousands of hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, a book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired."
"Almighty Destruction Arise".

The Last Watcher
The Abyss Watchers. Once fully dedicated to hunting the Abyss, now cursed to fight their own members forever. One day though, while they are attacked by a mysterious warrior, a single Abyss Watcher is suddenly pulled through a tear in reality, transported to a new world. A world with a strange thing called a leveling system. Current update schedule: Tuesday 10:00 PM NZT Idea I had of an Abyss Watcher from Dark Souls 3 being transported into a LitRPG world. You don't have to know any of the lore from Dark Souls to understand this, however if you want to know more about the lore just google it or something, I can't stop you But it's not like it will be very useful in this story as I plan to not be focused on Dark Souls Lore. As a side note for those reading this while it is ongoing, I will occasionally go back to previous chapters and sometimes add certain elements to the skills and leveling. Not to worry though as I will tell you as to what I have edited in the authors notes, so be sure to pay attention to those when they appear as they may contain information required for continued understanding. Also, if you decide to drop this book then please leave a comment on the chapter you stopped on and tell me what made you stop.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
