《Sorcerer King》Returning

In front of me was my Elder sister Vanessa, a smirk plastered all over her face (probably because she had accomplished her task before me) it was a well-known fact in the Imperium that there was one thing the Third Young Master of the Auguste Clan hated. Losing. It did not matter what form and manner it came in. Losing naturally angered me to the core.
This had always existed within me whether it be since I was a young child or in my teenage years when I roamed the world. I knew I could not blame my soldiers, they had done outstanding in this battle though there was room for improvement. The problem lied in the number of drakes this time being unexpected and well that was the nature of the War. War was never predictable. As I looked behind me to see my army, although they still looked menacing there was fatigue written all over their faces.
"All of you rest, relax and go back to your families. Pariach send a thousand gold coins to the families of the deceased and a royal military burial."
"Roger that commander" Replied a tired pariach herself.
"You should also rest Pariach this has been tough for you for you too."
The army dispersed and went their ways soon. Getting off the horse I walked towards my sister.
"Dear Elder Sister are you here to gloat" with annoyance hidden in my tone I spoke to my sister.
"Oh, of course, I am here to gloat after all you ended up losing to me over a measly amount of drakes that you could not kill however I am also here to tell you that father has summoned you to his Palace."
"Would that be all Elder sister."
"Of not I am also here to tell you how usele-"

"Second Sister stop annoying Erasmus, don't you have some work to do at the Academy" A powerful voice boomed out.
"Yes Elder brother."
With my sister leaving it was only my Second brother and me at the gate. I did not interact with my brothers that much so it was a bit awkward standing outside the entrance; however, I could not help but observe my brother
"He was a compact, clearcut man, with precise features, a lot of very soft Red hair, and deep dark blue eyes. He had a look of wariness and a face that said he could change his facial expression into thousands of emotions at any given time."
"It has been quite a long time since the two of us have connected after you speak with father come by my manor so we can catch up."
"Then ill come by later" I responded as I walked off to my Father's mansion. After walking for some time, I finally reached there. The palace from a distance looked to be made entirely of ice, but when one got close enough to touch it, they could see that it was a crystal palace. It seemed to grow right out of the ground like a glacier, and it reflected the light like many shards of glass in the afternoon sun. There were two guards at the gate each stood straight and seemed to be motionless, however, Erasmus knew they were at all times monitoring the area. He walked past them and into the palace.
He kept walking until he reached where his father would usually be, His fathers' study knocking at the door of the room He heard a deep voice call him in.
"Come in."
"Walking he could see his father was currently working on some stuff and buttload of papers. (probably about the Imperium and the territory)"

"Father, you summoned me."
" Ah yes I heard from my scouts at that you fought an abnormally large number of drakes you."
"Yes, Father is there some kind of problem going on."
"Yes, the Beast Kings of the forest seems to be plotting something."
"Will it affect us in any way," I asked my father.
"No you do not need to worry, this is not something within your league, anyway report to me what you went through."
I reported everything that happened out the city gates of Nillium to my father.
"Hmm that is all I wanted to know, I also heard you used a forbidden spell to take care of them"
"I had to use a forbidden spell as there were too many."
"To me, it sounds as if you were lacking in your training during the past few years if you wish to part be strong enough to participate in the true wars that are about to come then you need to be stronger than this."
"I shall start training myself once more."
"Good now you are dismissed I have a ton of work to do."
"As I was stepping out the study I had a new and strong desire."

Observations of the Nameless
Sometimes the world will just whirl by without a care for its inhabitants. Each passing day bring a new experience unlike the one before it. Why do we do anything... That's a really good question, isn't it? Author's Note: Each chapter is about 300 words, so that's the reason for the short story tag even though this will be a (somewhat) ongoing series. Expect an update twice a week on Tue/Wed and on Fri/Sat. No set time, but likely afternoon or evening.

The Gothamite
Following his parents’ brutal murder, a young man sets out to find justice against a system and city that makes decent men feel the need to turn to crime. But when a man with godlike abilities arrives, he’ll need to investigate – and possibly intervene – on behalf of humanity. THE GOTHAMITE is a BATMAN-centric sidequel to The Metropolitan Man, by Alexander Wales, though it is intended to be able to stand on its own. Content Warnings will be posted alongside new chapters, which will be published weekly on Thursdays (however, since this is just now being uploaded to Royal Road, I'll be publishing a chapter every day until it's caught up with the other places it's hosted.
