《The Celestial Kingdom》The Celestial Library

Lady Ardent sorted through the papers on her desk, a frown found its way onto her pale face.
Something the matter? Amaterasu asked from the other side of the desk where he had perched himself.
She gave a half hearted smiled. "Just a lot of work to do is all."
He chuckled. We have a lot going on right now.
A nock sounded at the chamber door. "Come in."
At Ardent's beck, Rain entered. "Milady, can I talk with you?" She enquired.
Ardent gave Rain a puzzled look. "Of course you can. Always."
Meanwhile down in the library, over looking the Hall of Memoires, Knight was introducing Àskériàn to the history section.
The library was split into two departments, each department had its own area of the library, both were identical in size, both had the same single window on the long wall, and they were level with each other so you could look across the corridor below and into the other department.
They were separated by the hall below and were connected at the far end by a small catwalk. A door sat the opposite end for each department and both connected to the terrace in the foyer. One department was used to create maps and the other was where the books were stored. The two knights were in the book department.
"This section here contains all the information on Ardentia's passed." Knight explained as he handed Àskérian a thick book.
"And this, incase you are interested, as I suspect you might be, is information on our queen."
Àskériàn stared at the red book that he held. The spine was golden and glinted off the lantern light from above, a pink sigil of a flame surrounded by feathers, much like the knockers on the research department doors, was on the front and Lady Ardent's name was embossed around it in purple and teal.
Knight gave a chuckle. "We all have read that book at least once."
"Oh." Àskériàn replied.
"If you need anything let me know." Knight said to Àskériàn as he turned to stalk towards the library door.
Àskériàn scanned the bookshelves. He found one titled "The first Reunion." For some reason the book spoke to him, drawing his attention.
"Mhhhh.. ok book. Prepared to be read." He said out loud, taking the book from the shelf. He almost dropped it as it weight fifty pounds, or at least that’s what he estimated. The cover was teal, the bindings purple and the sigil was blazoned on the cover in pink. The title encircled the emblem, just like with Lady Ardent's book.
He found a table and sat down, taking the books with him. The chair was too small for his long legs. “ …I'll have to ask about a better chair next time."
Across the hall on the other side of the library, Sir Sekke Lamorak waved at Àskériàn in salutation. He was busy with a map that he had sprawled out on a long mahogany table. Àskériàn titled his head and saluted his young friend in greeting.

He took out the star crystal from the inside pocket of his cloak and set it on the table before him to examine it while he read. Then he opened the book and began to read.
"And that is how we met. How could I ever forget that Rain? You are like a little sister to me." Rain's dark eyes filled up with tears as she gave Ardent a hug.
"Do you remember what happened next?" She asked.
Ardent nodded. "I remember." She said. "We went and found our friends and we brought them here." She began.
The world around him shifted as Àskériàn delved deeper into the history of the realm. The book he was reading seemed to mark where he had witnessed Ardent's last memory and picked up where he had left off.
A few days had passed, long enough for Ardent to gain her strength back. She and Rain were on a mission: find Rain's companions and make sure they were safe.
They landed in Gaia where Ardent had first found the small birb on the forest floor. "From which direction did the wind carry you?"
Rain morphed into her small birb form and flew off, letting her memory guide her. Lady Ardent followed after her through the trees, the soft caress of a gentle breeze flowed past them.
They had gone a great distance and Ardent realized they were just at the edge of the Rainforest of Arcadia, where the territory met with the mysterious crags.
Rain decided to land and she turned back into her normal form. "This is it." She said. "Originally we were heading to Alexand. Do you know where that is?"
So they were headed to my old home. Ardent thought to herself. Maybe they stopped along the way. "Let me see if I can trace them."
Rain gave her a confused look. "Trace?"
Ardent closed her amber eyes. "Everyone and everything gives off a unique energy, bound to one's self. Others may give off similar energy but we all have our own distinction from one another." She explained.
She focused on the ground and the trees. She became one with their surroundings. She listened to the wind until it became her voice. The streams nearby became the blood running through her veins.
She smiled. Now I know what Rain's aura feels like. She thought to herself.
Concentrating hard, she finally picked up a faint trail it was headed towards Alexand. They must have went on ahead in hopes that Rain would meet them at the village.
She opened her eyes. "Alright Rain. I found them." Determination set in and off they went to follow the trail.
They travelled passed the crevices and craters of the crags, the soft lap of the water came from below the cliffs as waves toyed with the beach that wasn't there before. The weather must have caused the water to recede.
The rocky steeps faded behind them as they sifted through dense mahogany trees. It wasn't long before they reached the field. A field that was full of regret for Ardent.

"What's wrong ?" Rain asked, puzzled.
"I've been here before." The angel answered her friend, not wanting to face the truth.
They reached the edge of the field towards the tree line as familiar sounds drifted inward. The smell of freshly baked bread. The sweet sent of berries mingled with it.
Excitement rushed through Rain. "Alexanhd! We made it! But wait... does that mean my friends made it here as well?" She rushed forward leaving Ardent near the trees.
A happy Rain marched through the village. All around happy merchants and people mingled. Some buildings were being repaired. She wasn't looking where she was going and ran into someone.
"Ooof! Excuse me! I'm very sorry!" She cried trying to get to her feet.
"Are you ok?" A small child like voice asked. A small hand extended to her and when she looked up she saw a young girl, much more youthful than herself. Her hair was brown and her eyes were golden and she was dressed in pink, gray and gold.
Rain took the girl's hand and the little one helped Rain to her feet. "Why thank you. Was it you that I bumped into?"
"No." The small girl giggled. "You ran into my brother." She motioned to the husky man standing beside her.
Rain felt intimidated. "Uhhhh excuse me." Rain said bowing. "I'm very sorry!"
"It's fine. You don't look familiar. Where are you from ?" The tall man asked.
"My name is Rain. I'm from Arcadia." She introduced herself.
"You're the elven princess! We have been looking for you for days! And you managed to make it here alone?" He asked astounded.
"Uh well I did have a companion with me." Rain turned to find the angel but she was nowhere to be found. "Oh no I lost her!" Rain said sadly.
"Well, we will help you find her. But first we need to get you to the town hall. Our king is waiting for you."
Rain tilted her head. "But isn't this a village?" She knew of the bear king, but the concept was foreign to her, that a king would rule a village, then again it was almost big enough to be a city.
The man chuckled.
"Indeed it is but we still call him the king."
The village actually had a castle. It was a small castle, built of brick with a golden roof, white window frames decked with planter boxes full of brilliant flowers, and ornate sconces clung to the exterior.
Definitely not as grand as Palace Arcaden. Nevertheless Rain was intrigued. A tinge of sadness washed over her at the loss of her new friend. Where did she go? She thought. The angel would have liked it here.
The man and the girl escorted Rain through the palace entrance and down a long corridor. A red rug, embroidered with golden thread crawled from one end of the long hall to the other. Black banners hung along the pale walls, a red bear in the center of each, it was the bear king's emblem. Vases and end tables dotted the hall. Windows lined the one side, will paintings lined the other.
They reached the end of the hall and two mahogany doors greeted them. The man pushed the door open and Rain was greeted by a gilded throne room.
A man with broad shoulders and a larger build sat on the throne, a black chair with red velvet plush and golden intricacies. The king looked familiar and Rain thought she knew him from somewhere, but she couldn't put her finger on why.
"Your majesty. We have found the elven princess." The man said.
The king looked up at Rain. "Very nice indeed! Tell me how did you come to find her Golem?" The king asked.
"She just sort of walked into the village." The husky man, Golem answered.
"I see. Very well." The king said in a deep voice. "Welcome Rain Aurina Bors to Alexand. Its only a village now, but we hope to build it as grand as the Arcadian kingdom."
"It's a pleasure sir." Rain said bowing. " Your majesty, about a week ago I was separated from a group of people who were to escort me here. Do you know where they may be?"
The king gave a low chuckle. "I do. They have been waiting here for you in the guest wing. Golem, please escort this young lady to the guest hall."
Golem nodded in agreement and turned towards the door. Another younger girl, with purple hair and matching eyes stood at the doorway.
"Hiem!" The girl with brown hair squealed as she ran and tackled the newcomer.
"Mother is looking for you." Hiem scolded the girl.
Golem nodded to Hiem, who then carted the small girl off. Then turning to Rain, he ordered gently "Follow me."
"Your majesty, if it would be of any interest to you, I had another friend with me but she disappeared when we got here. Would you send a group to look for her?" Rain asked the king before following after Golem.
"Do you have a description of this person?" King Alexander asked.
"Not to be rude sir, but you would know this person if you saw her, she is... well she's an angel."
"I see. Indeed we will send a search party out immediately." He declared. "Golem, a word please." Golem nodded in response and then escorted Rain from the room.
