《Ex-Angel》~Ch.3~ Wanted

I quickly run through the streets and back alleyways trying to avoid as many people as possible. I dart through the sparsely crowded roads and barge into the inn and look around wildly. I don't see Thomas anywhere so I quickly run up the stairs and enter his empty room.
I walk over to his desk and see a stack of papers next to an opened envelope and pen. I grab a paper from the top of the stack and start reading it. As I scan through the paper I notice that its a report, a report about me. The report is written about me and Thomas's encounter with me and how we are currently staying at the Herald Inn. Apparently, he has gone to meet the person whom the letter was addressed to today. Within the report, there are several references to something he calls "Fallen One" but as I read through some of the other papers I cannot figure out exactly what it means but using some context clues I've gathered I figured that the government of the Empire of Ostra among with several other nations have been capturing "Fallen Ones" to perform a multitude of experiments on them, and also use them in the military.
I place the papers back on the desk and take on more look around the room and don't see anything else that captures my attention and leave. I head back to my room for the time being and sit down on the bed and try to sort out my thoughts. My brain races wildly from me waking up in the field to meeting Thomas to receiving my magic again and the papers back in Thomas's room.
"So what are you going to do Master?" a warm voice sounds in my head as my grimoire floats in front of me glowing softly.

"That doesn't matter right now, I can deal with this in due course but first I have some questions for you," I say as I look at the grimoire and stand up in front of it and take hold of it and sit back down. I hear Myu mutter in my mind but I ignore her and flip through the pages of the grimoire again and see that the pages are still blank.
"Myu, why are the pages blank?"
"Because you haven't added any of your magical knowledge into the grimoire, grimoires themselves do not contain spells themselves but instead act as a record for spells so the caster can use any spell within the grimoire already at a moments notice."
" I see, okay next question... You said you are the spirit of this grimoire do all grimoires contain spirits? Are you able to physically manifest yourself or you only able to appear within the spiritual plan and speak from within my mind?"
"All grimoires do contain spirits but it takes a lot of magical power from both the user and the spirit themselves for them to even gain an actual consciousness, which in turn makes it even harder for them to attain a physical form, only the oldest of spirits are fully able to interact with the physical world and maintain their forms for long periods. but to answer your question in short, I am able to keep a physical form for 5 hours at a time due to my own lack of spiritual mana, but in time with you using my grimoire I should be able to keep my form longer."
I nod my head and stare at the grimoire silently for a few minutes and address Myu again, "Hey Myu, can you take all the magic from my memory and apply it to the grimoire or is there a limit?"

Myu is silent as she tries to form a proper answer to my question, "Hmmm... I think it would be possible for me to transfer the spells but it would take some time and you would also have to form a spirit contract with me as well so I could view your memories, grimoires themselves have no limits the only limit is the user's abilities."
I form the spirit contract with Myu and after a few minutes of creating a complex link of mana bridging our souls together, both Myu's and I connection deepens and a rush of Myus knowledge of this world and her memories combine with mine as if the were mine in the first place.
I stand up from my bed and start to walk towards the door when I hear someone coming up the stairs which stops me in my tracks I look wildly around the room for a place to hide in case someone comes in and decide instead to try cloaking myself using magic, I use an old light bending spell that was very simple and but also a basic must-have during my time in Heaven.
"[Light Bending Magic; Invisibitly Cloak]" I mutter as I situate myself in the center of the room and suppress my mana rendering me completely invisible to most types of magic sensory and of course the human eye.
The footsteps stop in front of my room and I hold my breath as the door quietly opens, the elderly man accompanied by Thomas and 2 armed guards. After looking around for a couple of moments Thomas turns to the old man with a sigh, "It appears he isn't here Lord Edus, this is the room he was staying in but it appears that he hasn't left anything behind so he probably won't come back here since you came after him."
Edus looks around the room slowly and lets out a low grunt, "No, he was here... I can sense an influx of mana within this room which means he must have cast magic here recently..."
Thomas looks surprised looks at Edus in awe, "How can you tell is it because of your..."
Edus quickly cuts him off with a simple yes and orders the guards to stand watch over the room and exits with Thomas in toe closing the door behind them. The guards let out a sigh and look at each other.
"Do you think that kid was really a Fallen One?" one of the guards ask, a middle-aged gentleman with dark red hair and a long jagged scar running down the left side of his face barely missing his eye.
The other guard slightly younger with a youthful appearance with raven black hair and almost hooked nose giving him and almost bird-like appearance just shrugs and says probably before exiting the room. The other guard takes one last look around the room and his eyes linger on the spot where I'm standing and frowns for a second before shrugging and following after his comrade.
I let out a sigh and slowly walk towards the window without trying to make any sound and jump out. I land on the ground softly and slowly walk to the main road and head to the main gate to leave Shesa.
