06: Wind Of Change (King Ayandel II)

Luck was smiling at them – it didn't take a lot of time for Sonoth to find the ritual that hasn't been used for almost two centuries. Indeed, it has been a long time of peace since the last time a demon lord had gotten too greedy and they – the human race that were the only one with the knowledge of pulling a soul and its body through who-knows-how-many dimensions to get a true hero – had the duty to protect the continent from the demons.

And results had always been pleasing: the last hero summoned was a courageous warrior by the name of Hdhbsdk, who, as it has been written down in books, was a creature never seen before – with eyes that took the space of almost all of the warrior's face, with skin so green that it was so easy to lose him in a forest, and limbs so long and graceful that they couldn't possibly belong to a mortal creature. He possessed superior intellect and could make never seen before tools that he never shared with, his strength was far greater than any dragons' from the isles to the west of the demon lands. But after Hdhbsdk* slayed the demon lord Ontioro, he vanished; and some people even claim that they have seen him in the Unclaimed Lands in the South just a few years ago...

But that was just one of the summoned heroes; one could never forget Genghis* – a human, but so unlike any living on the continent of Sdiliph, also possessing strength far above that of a human (he also might have tried to conquer the whole continent after getting rid of his respective demon lord), or Lady Patra and Lord Antony*** (that was the only time they happened to summon two heroes at the same time) who turned out to be unparalleled magicians that, after their quest was done, are said to have sailed The Tainted Sea to discover new lands (no one really knows if they did).

Of course, there were other heroes as well, but they weren't that important.

So when Sonoth had prepared the palace’s ritual chamber, Ayandel was very pleased - no matter who they would get, the hero would be a great help in the upcoming battles. Summoning was the right action to make.
