Certain people believe there is a concept of Karma.
Every action has a moral weight, and it will be equally returned to you.
It is either good or evil, heavy or light.
Do a good deed and something good will happen to you.
Do a bad deed and something bad will happen to you.
An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.
However, if it this concept does exist, it doesn’t apply to me.
Why, you ask? Well, I started to doubt everything after the first few years of my life.
It felt as if someone is pulling a mean prank on me, constantly, every day.
I have finally understood it the first time I died.
The fact is simple, I’m just not a normal human.
My name is irrelevant. Over the years, I have had so many of them that I forgot the original one.
My age? it doesn’t matter either, I have lived and died many times.
What am I you wonder? Not even the gods know, trust me... I asked... and not just one of them.
My story begins in the universe you are currently living in. A century or two before you were born.
At first my life was relatively normal, only small misfortunes happened…
A cut here, a broken bone there, a burn from boiling water here... then it started worsening.
From small incidents around me... To bigger accidents involving people near me...
And finally... indirectly causing death...
“Luckily” for me, the nasty stuff is limited to once a day and sometimes doesn’t happen.

Once in awhile something good might happen too.
I decided to seclude myself, to not get close to anything.
Avoid all and any life. Or at least try to do so...
I have found an empty area on a cliff above the sea.
It wasn’t too small. Big enough for a wooden hut and a garden to grow my food in.
I took my tools, found some wooden planks and started building the hut.
I was only 15 at the time, so I wasn’t very knowledgeable in the subject.
It took me longer than expected, with rotten wood here and there,
the hammer breaking a few times, and nails rusting when I turn my head away…
In order to avoid people, I started growing my own food in a garden near the hut, sometimes going down the cliff to fish in the sea, it takes 10 times the effort for a being like me, but it is much better than having to shop for ingredients every time I want to eat. Safety first...
A year later I have found out that some rich douche has started building a beach resort, that connects to a hot springs spa, on the hill a short distance away from my hut. Apparently it wasn’t enough for him, so he created a golf course that stretched as far as the horizon goes.
One time a construction worker got close to my hut and three seagulls relieved their stress right on his head. Another time a poor guy stepped into a hole created by a mole only to find his face falling right into a pile of dog crap. It was fun watching from afar and then disappearing inside before anyone notices me.
People in the resort started asking questions about my hut, and very soon after that, people started getting closer and closer to see who lives in it. There was even a story about it being haunted because bad things happened to people who got close to it.

Because of the daily incidents, the rumors started spreading even faster, and thanks to that, people started avoiding getting too close to my once again personal area.
I could finally return back to my peaceful life.
Every day I checked on my crops behind the hut, I had to make sure they would last me as long as possible so I wouldn’t have to acquire supplies from anywhere else, cleaned the hut, made sure there are no things missing and took the trash out to the trash collecting area which is the only convenient thing that came with the resort nearby.
One day I’ve decided to build an extension to the house. I wanted a porch where I could sit and look at the sea without having to step out of my safe-zone. I took some leftover wood I saved from the construction of the hut and started preparing the tools.
While taking the measurements near the edge of the cliff, it hit me, literally.
A damn golf ball, hit me right on the head.
When I came back to my senses I was falling. Falling from the cliff.
Damn golf course, I should've done something to prevent this idiot from building it.
Oh well... I knew this day would come. Finally my bad luck will go away with me dying.
Being impaled by the sharp stones under the cliff is not that bad, a quick death.
The anticipation I have had my whole life, peace, will finally be fulfilled.
No!
My hopes were completely crushed, utterly smashed to pieces (unlike me)!
My painful and miserable life did not end - it was only put on hold.

The Sun's Remnant
Two people are transported to a world with magic, but it is no Wonderland. When the god of light died, he decided to take the world with him. At least, that’s what many believe in the Kingdom of Rhine, a once vast kingdom of which only a small corner remains — and even that is threatened. On one side, by the Twisted Forest, a corruption spreading from the deathplace of the gods that has already swallowed up most of Rhine. On the other, by the resurgent Kagrathan Empire, resurrected by the infallible God-Emperor Karlatz. A holy order of knights carry out their mission despite the death of their god. A band of talented misfits prepare for a heist out of their league — by stealing. Mages hunt for secrets even as the world ends. A ruler does what must be done to save the living, no matter the cost. Into this world of magic and murder, two adrift souls are inexplicably dragged: a mother estranged from her young daughter due to her own mistakes, and a young man with a love of fantasy who has gradually drifted away from his friends and family. As they each struggle to find their place in this world, they must also answer the question: do they want one?***Content Warning: I've drafted about 100,000 words (most of the first volume), and there is no sexual content so far, though I may add it in the future. There is occasionally gore and traumatising content as the story demands. I commit to keeping all of the above non-voyeuristic. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Abyssal Fortress girl in another world
Because of an accident, God ended up sending some people to another world. As with all bad luck, our protagonist is sent to another realm/dimensions and consequently dies by being crushed under severepressure. After giving an apology, god, reincarnates our protagonist in that realm as a creature with some cheat/boon. Without any choice, our protagonist reincarnates as a monster in another world. After reading many LitRPG novels, I decided to write my own as well. English is not my native language so forgive me for my mistakes and I hope to improve as I go.

The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
