KILLUA'S POV:
Shaking with anger, I step outside of the cursed cell. The two guards from before are running back now from the sound I made. I killed them quickly before they could barely address what had happened. Blood sprayed onto the ground, giving me a short flashback of Connor's death.
I step over the bodies, making my way to the exit of this hellhole. Y/N . . . Did you think you were going to get rid of me that easily? I'll forgive you, but this time we're running away together.
My feet break out into a run. I turn the corner and see the shocked faces of a few more officers.
"Hey! How-"
They reach for their guns, but their heads are off before the sentence is finished. I continue to run as fast as I could, looking forward to see Y/N again. I miss her so damn much . . . I had to see her soon.
I spot a guard walking down the hall casually. I step in front of him and put my claws to his neck.
"W-what a-are y-you d-doing?!"
"Give me the keys to exit this room and I'll spare your pathetic life." He blinks at me so I growl, "Five . . . Four . . . Three . . ." He hands me it, then I chop off his head. I could care less about him.
I leave the cell compartments and threaten another person for directions to get out. Again, I kill him after he tells me. I keep on continuing this cycle until I get out . . . It's amazing what people would do to live.
***
YOUR POV:
"Y/N . . . you can run but you can't hide. I'm always here for you . . . forever and ever . . . for the rest of your life . . . the rest of your life . . . the rest of your life . . ."
Those haunting words echo down the corridor I'm dashing in. I'm trying to shake off Killua. I can't see him, but I know he's there.
"I can't believe you lied to me. I thought you loved me . . . loved me . . . loved me . . ."
"Stop!" I screamed.
"I'm sorry . . . but I hoped things would've ended differently . . . differently . . . differently . . ."
Suddenly, the corpses of my parents appeared. They were ripped and torn, obviously tortured before their death.
"I SAID STOP!"
*
I wake up from my nightmare after that. I tried to calm myself down.
It's not real, Y/N, he's locked up for good. He's far, far away where he can't hurt anyone.
I repeated that until I fell asleep again, but the uneasy feeling in my stomach didn't disappear.
The next morning, my mom woke me up and made me breakfast. I thanked her for that and chowed my toast and eggs down. When I finished, the phone rang.
"Hello?!"
"Y/N! Are you alright?!" shouted Cole.
"Um . . . yes. What's wrong?"
He cleared his throat nervously. "Killua has broken out of jail and is coming for you. I didn't want to tell you, but after we couldn't find him I was ordered to inform you."

The room started spinning. "If this some joke?" I choked.
"Of course not. I would never do something like that! The police are on their way to your house now since that is likely where Killua is heading. However, stay put because they should arrive before Killua as he does not have a vehicle. By car, it should take them about two hours."
"How do you know that Killua won't come before they do?" I cry.
"It's physically impossible for him to!" Cole says. "You'll be alright! Just wait until the police come! I'll be arriving shortly after them."
"A-alright." I tell my mom what's going on, and she escorts my to my room in a rush. I stayed there for a while panicking, focusing on breathing. After what seemed like days, the doorbell finally rang. I tensed up, praying it wasn't Killua.
"It's the police!" I let out a sigh of relief and opened the door, quickly ushering them in. We all move into the small living room. There's five officers.
"Are you okay?" a police officer asks.
Of course I'm not. "Just a little shaken up," I murmur.
"Don't be. We'll catch him soon. We're sorry about all of this."
"No, it's not your fault. Don't be sorry." It's Killua's damn fault.
"Alright, now let's go back to the police station where you would be the safest."
"Yeah, that would be great." I said. I was freaking out, but I had to maintain calm a breakdown.
"How long will I be there again?"
"I would say probably until-"
Suddenly, a red hole appears near the officer's stomach. His mouth opens but nothing comes out. He then slumps to the ground, dead. My mom lets out a shriek.
"She's not going anywhere," a voice laughs.
I knew who it was. I slowly look up and lock eyes with Killua's blue ones. "K-Killua?"
"Y/N!" he chirps happily. He launches himself at me, but the four other police officers block his path, raising their guns.
He glares at them furiously. In a flash, they're all on the ground. Every single one of them.
"H-how c-could y-you?" I cry.
"This is for us. You know, Y/N, it was horrible for you to lie to me! But it's okay. We'll run away together and be together for the rest of our lives." He emphasizes the "rest of our lives" part.
"No! Stop, please," I sob.
"Shhhh . . . It's alright." He hugs me tightly and began guiding my body towards the door. However, my dad and my mom go in front of him.
"You're not taking her anywhere," my dad growls. His tone was confident, but in his eyes I see fear. He knows he can't physically stop Killua. He saw what he has done to those officers. Yet, he's still here, knowing he has to die to protect me.

"Dad . . . no . . . you have to go!" I shout. He doesn't move a muscle.
My mom nods in agreement. But she knows as well she can't stop him. It was an unspoken agreement between my parents they will die knowing they tried to protect me rather than running away to live. Killua looks at them and his grip tightens around my waist. I know what he's going to do next.
"No, Killua! You can't!"
He cups my cheek and kisses me. "Don't worry, it'll only take a sec."
"You can't kill them!" He loosens his hold and turns forward, but I grab his arm and yank back as hard as I could.
It became a game of Tug of War. He kept trying to go forward, but I used all of my strength to pull back. He didn't shove me away since he was probably afraid to hurt me.
I knew he would win at some point, so I went to my last option. I let go of him and ran into the kitchen. It was a gamble. An extremely risky one. It was likely Killua would forget about my parents and go after me, but he also might not and kill my parents first.
Thank goodness he didn't and chased after me. I grabbed a gigantic knife on the counter and raised it. Killua put his hands up slightly.
"Y/N . . . put that down. Now."
"N-no."
He still had the gun in his hand he shot the first officer with. He sighs. "I'm doing this because I love you."
"That doesn't matter! I don't want anyone to die! Just go away and leave and never come back, you nuisance! Even if you do take me away, I'll never give up to escape."
"Please don't say that. If you come with me without fighting and if you put that knife down . . . I'll let your parents go, okay? Come on."
I breathed a sigh of relief until your dad showed up behind him and tackled him.
"Dad!!! What are y-"
"RUN, Y/N!" my mom shouts. "Your dad and I won't let ourselves live if we let you go without doing anything! R-"
Killua knocked my dad and mom away so hard, they hit the wall and became unconscious.
He walks towards me, and I stick the knife in front of me like a shield. He frowns. "You said you would come with me if I let your parents go."
"I hate you, I really do. That's why I lied to you." His clenched his teeth.
"You know, I may not forgive you for lying to me."
"I wish you never left that cell. I wish you died. I would be so happy if you did."
Killua sucks in a breath. "You promised you wouldn't leave me. Now you've made me change my mind. I'll kill your parents slowly and make you watch as a punishment."
There was nothing I could do now. There was no trying to convince him to be nice anymore. "Fine," I whisper. "But that will only make me hate you more. I won't forgive you for that." Then, in a swift movement, I throw the knife like a crazy women, and Killua moves just in time for it to skim his cheek. A faint red line appears.
He stares at me. "Did you just try to murder me?"
"Yeah."
He grin slowly breaks onto his face and he advances towards my direction. I spin around and make a sprint towards my room. He grabs me and wraps his arms around my body.
The doorbell rings.
Cole! I almost forgot about him!
"Cole!" I scream. "Help me! Please!" I thrash wildly around.
"Y/N! I'm coming!" I hear him yell.
Killua snaps his face towards me. "Do you . . . love Cole?"
"Eh?!"
I hear Cole banging on the door.
"You do, don't you?" Killua whips his hair away from his eyes and looks at me.
"I can't stand the thought of you with someone else. You really don't love me. And you never will. I hoped it wasn't true."
"I don't love Cole!"
Killua gazes at me. "I'm sorry Y/N, but it just hurts me too much to see you hating me anyway. I have no choice but to do this now. Change of plans. It's simply too much. When you refuse to love me. When you hate me. When you LIED to me. I have no choice but to do this now. Change of plans," Killua says sadly.
That sinks in.
And it hits me when I realize what he's doing.
He twirls the gun in his hands. "Don't worry, it would be quick."
My eyes widen. "No! Don't, Killua! We can work this out!" I plead.
"We both know that's not true," Killua replies calmly.
"This isn't a solution to anything!"
"Yes, it is. You are the source of my pain. After this, you will be gone, and your hate for me will no longer exist."
I scream for help, but Cole isn't able to break down the door. Killua kisses me for the last time slowly.
"I really hoped this would've ended differently, but this is all too much. Sometimes I just can't bear the see someone who means too much to me hate me. I'll make it fast. It'll be done before you know it."
You close your eyes weeping.
The last thing you hear is, "I'm sorry, Y/N."
