Chapter 17 || Stefon Salvatore stare
"Wakey, wakey!" An ever so annoying voice sounded from across the room.
Oh joy, back to reality.
I looked up as Tanner walked into the room.
Was it bad that I associated the thought of killing carebears and Tanner together?
I mean was I the only one that could imagine Tanner killing carebears.
I felt Noah stiffened up against me. We were still in the same position that we were in last night. Noah hand around my waist, my head on his chest.
I wasn't gonna say it was unforgetable or anything... But I mean he is really stinky right now… He smelled like a pile of dead pigs. And trust me that smell was not good.
At home there was a pig farm that was right next to my property, and right of the edge line of our property was a garbage bin where all the dead pigs were dumped until a big truck would get them. It was pretty far away from our house, but when you got out there, damn, it smelled bad.
I sent a glare towards Tanner as he gave us, what I am assuming is supposed to be a charming smile. But actually was a creepy serial killer smile. Ted Bundy style.
"Come on get up, we got things to do," Tanner said clapping his hands together.
I kind of just sat there and stared at him whilst Noah was trying to climb up from his spot on the ground.
He still didn't look good, but he looked better than he did the day before.
He kind of resembled Stefan Salvatore in the first season of The Vampire Diaries when he was trying to fight against drinking human blood. If that was any indication.
But anyways, apparently I was taking too long to get everything together cause’ Tanner came striding into the room and grabbed me by the arm, halling me up to my feet like a vampire throwing a human across the room.
"Come on dog, get your furry ass up, lets get going." Tanner said as to Noah as he dragged me out of the room.

I heard a deep growl come from behind me.
Yup, he was a werewolf.
Noah grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him, I hadn’t thought that he could move that quickly, considering just a couple second ago he was struggling to stand up.
But I was glad that he got to me.
To be honest I felt much better with Albert Fish at this moment.
Not like the actual Albert Fish, but, i mean, I was referring to the guy that kept on biting down on my neck. You know what I mean.
Like, Noah never really said how he was going to kill me, Tanner was the one that had been practically begging Tristan to kill me. See where i am coming with this?
It was kind of like choosing between Regina and Cora from Once Upon A Time. Like seriously, who would you rather go with?
Personally. I would rather go with Dylan O'brien, but he actually wasn't an option at this point.
One day Dearie, one day, we will finally be together.
Dude! Did I totally use put a Once Upon a Time quote while talking about Dylan O'brien? Man this is awesome. I am the master of all masters. You may now bow down to me.
Just kidding, that's Noah.
Seriously, I bet if he could Noah would have everyone bow down to him. Okay that probably more Lycaons MO. But then again they were related.
Okay maybe I was getting just a little bit side tracked.
Suddenly Noah let a huge growl rip through his lips and he looked like he was about to lunge at Tanner.
I think I missed something here... I should really stop getting mixed up with my thoughts. I mean they really did impair my logic in most instances, and made me miss a lot. How I made to University still astounds me. I think it astounded my parents too.
Tristan came running down the hall and stood beside Tanner, glancing over at him, "I thought I told you not to piss him off." Tristan grumbled out.
Tanner rolled his eyes, as it seemed to be his favourite past-time. "Please, we have the upper hand here, brother."

Tristan let out a long side. "Just get them to come, and I don't want Noah turning. We both know that is a recipe for disaster."
Tristan then turned back to the direction that he was heading, grumbling as he went.
"Well you heard the man," Tanner said, clapping his hands together, "lets go." He motioned us to go first.
Noah didn't move from his spot.
"Do you really think I am just going to walk into the death trap that is surely awaiting me? Do you honestly think I am an idiot. I may be weak, but I'm not dumb." Noah said.
I let out a snort.
What? We all have to admit that he isn't the brightest bulb on the block. I mean he most definitely was not a fluorescent light bulb. That was way too bright for him. I would have to say that he was one of those really old light bulbs that was sucked up a bunch of energy and was at the end of its lifespan and was flickering and shutting off every three seconds. Yeah he was that kind of lightbulb.
Tanner rolled his eyes again- I mean literally, you'd think it was his full time job or something- "Do you really want me to make you?" He asked, pulling out a gun and twirling it around his fingers
"I’m sure you’re not fond of the very-” he looked at Noah, giving him a smirk “-silver bullet in here? Now I suggest you get moving or you’re not going to live to leave that room alive" Tanner said.
I looked up at Noah as he tightened his jaw. But to my pure and utter surprise he started moving out of the room. He walked right past Tanner and down the hall, with me in tow.
"That's right, keep moving." Tanner taunted from behind us.
"I would shut my mouth if I were you, Tanner!" I heard a yell from down the hall and immediately recognized it as Treesa.
"Yeah, yeah" Tanner grumbled as he followed after us.
We came to an open door and what was inside surprised me. There in front of me was a huge table, paper, books, pens all sprawled across the table.
Both me and Noah stopped at the entrance.
"Keep moving losers." Tanner said from behind us, we walked into the room.
I looked over as I noticed Tristan enter into the room, "take a seat guys." He said motioning towards two wooden chairs.
Surprisingly enough Noah obliged and took a seat, pulling me into the one beside him.
Honestly. I thought he was going to go all bad-shit crazy and try and kill everyone in the room or something.
Sighing Tristan sat down in a chair across the other side of the table.
Tanner was still standing, watching us closely, still twirling that stupid gun in his fingers, I hoped it was on safety, I doubted it though.
He was seriously creeping me out.
I looked back at Tristan as he let out another sigh, he glanced over at us, "As much as this pains me, and trust me it does. I have to ask a favour of you.” Standing up from his chair he started pacing around the room, running his hands through his hair. “There is something bad coming, something really bad. And we need to stop it.” He said looking back at us.
“We need your help.” he said, leveling us with a serious stare.
Yeah, it was so seriouse that you could totally compare it to Stefan Salvatore's serious stare.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
