《Only You♥️》Damn you, Avni!

I just looked at Avni who was standing at the door and sighed.
I almost lost my shit when I saw the chandelier falling over her. I started walking towards her and she was walking towards me. For the first time in my life I was reluctant to go to her and yank her towards me to hug her until she suffocates. I could see the reluctance in her eyes too.
I don't know what is going on with me and it is really difficult to figure out because I am marrying Trisha and exploring feelings for Avni will only frustrate me to no extent. But I know one thing and that is her mere existence in my life is enough to keep me sane.
"Veer." She called softly. I looked at her getting out of my trance. She looked as if she is been crying all this while.
I frowned looking at her.
"Why'd you cry?" I asked holding her hand and making her sit on my bed.
"I don't know. I just felt like crying!" She said shrugging.
And I smiled shaking my head at her.
I sat before her kneeling took her hands in mine and while caressing her knuckles I asked her "Are you fine? You are not much hurt are you?"
She shook her head in a No and smiled.
"Are you fine?" She asked.
"Now that I have seen you, Yes I am." I said smiling.
She smacked my arm lightly and just shook her head.
"Why were you looking at me with that look in your eyes when you slipped the ring in her finger?" She asked.
I sat beside her on the edge of the bed.
Now what do I answer to this. When I don't know what was I feeling.
When I was getting engaged to Trisha ;
Suddenly, I was having one of those moments that you have after losing someone .
When you feel like you've been kicked in the stomach and all your breath is gone and you might never get it back!
"There wasn't any look in my eyes, Avni." I denied looking at her.
"You pretend like you are made of granite. But when you are not trying, I can see the velvet in you." She said chuckling.
Only you can see it!
That is where everything goes wrong!

She sees through me as If I am a transparent wall. She just knows everything without me mentioning anything.
"I don't know what is it that is making you do this but remember one thing, I am going to stop this whatever drama that is going on, If I find out it is against your will. Which I am very sure of." She said with a determined look.
"Avni, don't create more problems for me. As it is I have too much on my plate." I said looking away.
"Can we please end our cold war? I don't think I can take it any more." I looked at her hopefully after saying this.
"You said I am nothing to you." She said looking down fiddling with her fingers.
You mean a lot to me!
No words can describe it!
"You are a precious part of my heart and that is where you are always going to stay." I said to her raising her face to face me by holding her chin.
Her eyes were filled with unshed tears.
She kept her head on my chest and put her arms around my neck. I immediately put my hands around her waist and started rubbing her back.
"Avni" I called her but she did not respond.
"Avni! I am not dying you know." I said chuckling.
She broke the hug and said
"Yeah! Getting married to Trisha is equal to opting for sucide."
I just laughed at her.
Then there was a knock at the door.
I opened the door and Arnav entered with a juice which mom has sent for us.
"Avni, I wanted to ask you something." Arnav said keeping the juice on the night stand.
"Noo! You can't. Get lost from here." I said rolling my eyes at him.
I am very sure he is going to hit on her and when he does that it just irritates me to hell.
"Do you have a Band Aid?" He asked
"No, but why do you need one? Because you scraped your knees falling for me?"
Avni said laughing and I just looked at them irritated.
Stupid Arnav!
I hate it when he makes her laugh!
Why though?
I have no idea!
"Hell yess! That smile of yours! God! How can someone not fall for it?" Arnav asked smiling.

"Arnav get the fuck out of my room right now!" I said getting angry.
"Okay! Angry young man." He said to me and turned to Avni while saying
"Take care, Beautiful." She just smiled at him and shook her head.
She freaking smiled at him!
"Veer..! You know he is just messing around." She said smiling and then she also left my room after drinking the juice.
.
.
.
I just returned from a very hectic day at and plopped on the couch of the living room where everyone was seated and laughing amongst themselves.
"Tired?" Avni asked who was seated beside me.
I just kept my head on the headrest and nodded.
"Avni, You were going to make hot choclate for me." Tanvi whined.
"You are worst than Ruhi" I said rolling my eyes at Tanvi.
"Whatever!" She said and smacked my head.
"You—
I started but Avni interrupted me.
"Stop fighting like kids! And i'll get your hot choclate." She said and got up when another kid in my house whined
"Why only for her?" Mihir pouted.
Avni rolled her eyes and said " I am bringing it for everyone stop whining like kids!"
Just then I heard the Trisha's voice and I was not ready to take any of her tantrums so I just got up to get to my room but I heard
"Veer, Babe! Where are you going?" Trisha asked.
I turned towards her and smiled at her. She came and hugged me and then again kissed my cheek. I could see everyone sitting over there was rolling there eyes.
"Guysss! Your hot choclate." Avni announced emerging from the kitchen.
She came towards me with the cup and when she was going to hand it to me Trisha said "He doesn't drink hot choclate." Trisha has this permanent scowl on her face around Avni. And same goes with Avni.
I don't understand what is it with them. Why can't they ever atleast be civil with each other.
"Excuse me! I don't think I need to know things about Veer from you." Avni said rolling her eyes and then handing me the cup.
"I sure as hell know him more than you do." Trisha said scowling.
"Let's not start with that. You will miserably fail if I start asking you questions about Veer." Avni said rolling her eyes.
And she is right!
Trisha has never known the actual me!
"Veer! See this is how she talks to me. Why is she still working with you? Can't you just fire her?" Trisha asked glaring at Avni.
"Trisha enough! I am not having this converstation with you again. She is a very important part of my life and you better respect it." I said getting agitated.
"Why did you even select her as your personal assistant? There are numerous eligible candidates!" Trisha said raising her voice on me.
"That is because I am not a dumb bimbo like you are. Unlike you I have brains." Avni said smiling at Trisha.
And Trisha's expression was worth watching she was fuming in anger.
"Darling, go buy a brain!" Avni said teasing Trisha.
I stiffled my laughter knowing very well she is pushing Trisha to the edge.
"Shut up!" Trisha said getting angry.
"What? No comebacks? Aww! Come on. Atleast be good at something. Or seems like you are just good at fooling around with guys." Trisha looked at her gobsmacked. Ofcourse she didn't see it coming.
"Avni— I started but Avni interrupted me saying
"It is between us, Veer. I suppose she has her own mouth to open and speak up for herself."
I just sighed.
If I talk anything in between an arguement which is led by Avni it is better if I shut up otherwise the tables will turn towards me.
"You are going to regret each & every word!" Trisha said picking up her hand bag and ready to leave.
Where as everyone else standing in the living room were controlling their laugh really bad.
"How? Ohh I forgot! You are going to run your daddy and complain to how I insulted you. But what is the kick in it? Can you yourself do anything about it? Without involving your father. No, you can't! So you better shut the fuck up and never come in my way!" Avni said glaring at her.
Trisha just stomped her way out of the living room and everyone started laughing like maniacs clutching their stomach.
Even I was laughing until my stomach started hurting.
Damn you, Avni!

Will he be left alone to cater to his mother, or will the universe be cruel enough to stand against him? *** Rpg system has no stats or leveling up (not in the traditional way), but there are numbers. MC is strong from the word go and he has a specific goal. He's also learned many skills before the beginning of the novel, so don't expect a murderhobo for levels. That being said, the mc will grow stronger and will have become so strong (not overpowered) by the end of the first book. There are many races besides humans but they are not the main focus of the story, so they will only appear when the plot involves them. This novel is dedicated to the late William Wilberforce. *** I made the cover picture from picart. Original images don't belong to me. If you are the owner and you want it removed just pm me.
