Breathe in...!
Breathe out...!
I was very near to breaking the whole house down!
Today was the most dreadful day of my life.
I just banged my hand on the dressing table and everything fell down.
And the worst part is, I don't know where the fuck is Avni!
I need to see her!
She is not around since morning and everyone is avoiding my question when I ask them about her saying she is busy with the wedding preparations.
Calm down!
I am going to get married today and I clearly don't want to get hitched to Trisha for my whole life.
But do I have an option?
No! I don't.
Taking deep breaths I adjusted my sherwani and then entered Arnav in my room.
"Bro, are you ready?" He asked grinning and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Why are you so happy about it?" I asked raising my brows at him.
"Ohh I am just happy that the obstacle will be removed which is between me & Avni." He said winking and I scoffed at him.
"She is a year elder to you!" I said glaring at him.
"I am just joking ,Veer! Wanted to see your glaring self back because I don't like the sulky you." He said and smiled at me.
"I have every reason to be sulky!" I said shaking my head disapprovingly.
He came forward and gave me a bro hug.
"Don't worry everything will be fine." He said.
I again rolled my eyes.
"I am going to practically get married in an hour or so and you think that everything is going to be fine now?" I asked mocking him.
I soo tried to search for the documents but got nothing.
Mr. Ahluwalia is one cunning bastard!
Now , I have no option but to get married to that freak ex- girlfriend of mine.
"Let's go. And trust me, everything is going to be fine." Arnav said.
I just nodded at him and left the room.
Surprising how Mihir and Raghav are not here to irritate me.
Really Surprising!
I was walking down the stairs when Mom & Dad came into my view.
"All the best." Dad said patting my back with a smile.
I clearly need everyone's wishes to handle that witch!
"My boy is looking soo handsome." Mom said praising me.
"Am i not your boy, Mom?" Arnav asked pouting.
Drama!
"Don't be jealous now! Come on the priest is waiting for you." Mom said and dragged me.
Everything was set.
The mandap was set.
The priest was waiting on the mandap.
But my eyes were searching for someone.
Avni.
Where are you?
"The priest is telling you to get seated, Veer." Arnav whispered in my ear and I got out of my thoughts.
I started walking towards the mandap only with one thought in my mind.
I am doing this for Dad.
I looked at Dad for a second and saw him smiling & talking to some of the guests.
I smiled and moved forward.
When I got seated the priest started with the rituals.
Soon the bride was called and when the bride came I looked towards her.
She was wearing a red lehenga which might I add was looking very beautiful on her.
Her face was covered in a red veil and I really had this urge to open her veil and see her face.
I've totally lost it!
When she was made to sit beside me a familiar scent of strawberries filled my nostrils.
Why does she smell like Avni?
Great! Now I am hallucinating.
Snap out of it!
The rituals started and all the time my mind was revolving around Avni and why is she not here.
The priest told us to stand up and then the garlands were exchanged.
Then I tied the nupital chain around her neck.
But the fact that she was smelling like Avni was disturbing me.
How can I hallucinate this much?
I had this weird urge to lift her veil and see her face but it is not allowed.
When finally it was time that her veil will be lifted and I had to put the vermillion on her forehead the lights went out.
Everyone freaked out but the priest asked to continue the ritual.
Tanu came forward and lifted her veil but ofcourse I couldn't see her face but I had this strange feeling in my heart.
I don't know what it was.
Something strange!
Tanu again covered her face in the veil and then when the lights were on again, Tanu winked at me.
What's wrong with her?
I looked at Raghav, Mihir standing there grinning.
What the hell is going on?
Why is everyone of them giving me these sly looks?
I just ignored them and then the priest announced that we were married.
Married!
Then we were informed to touch our elder's feet and then we started taking everyone's blessings.
Finally when we reached to Mr. Ahluwalia, I did not bent down to touch his feet but Trisha did and then he said
"You'll get what you want, Veer. I am a man of my words." He said smiling.
I rolled my eyes at him.
One cunning bastard he is!
"You better be a man of your words!" I said glaring at him and I was shocked how all the while Trisha stood there without even talking a word.
How is it possible?
"Treat my daughter well for a month and you will get it!" He said smirking.
And rage filled inside me.
"What the fuck are you talking?" I said raising my voice.
I didn't care if I was creating a scene.
Anyways the guests are already left.
"I don't want my daughter to suffer." He said shrugging.
"You— I started but soon was interrupted by Trisha's aunt's voice
"Trisha!" She yelled.
And I turned around to why was she yelling but got the shock of my life when I saw Trisha standing over there in casual clothes.
I looked beside me and saw that the bride was still standing beside me.
I was looking between both of them confused as to what is happening.
If Trisha is standing there then who is here?
Everyone stood there shell shocked.
Except for Tanu, Raghav, Mihir looking as calm as they could be.
I looked at them narrowing my eyes and Mihir just shrugged.
They've definitely done something in this matter!
"If Trisha is here then who did you get married to?" Mr. Ahluwalia asked gritting his teeth.

And I turned to look beside me but before I could ask something Tanu said
"So, ladies & gentlemen let me introduce you to the new member of our family
Mrs. Veer Singhania." And lifted her veil and kept it on her forhead.
I just looked at her shocked.
How is this possible?
I just held on to the nearby chair to prevent myself from falling.
Then I rubbed my eyes to make sure that I am not hallucinating.
I rubbed my eyes
Once
Twice
Thrice.
But she was still there.
I am not hallucinating!
I looked at Mom & Dad and they looked
Happy?
Mom was barely supressing her squeal and Dad was just smiling from ear to ear.
"You bitch!" Trisha yelled and threw the nearby decoration pot in her direction.
I just pulled her by my side and hugged her covering her from the front.
And at that moment I knew that this was not a dream.
I didn't care right now that the vase hit my back and was into peices by now.
All I could care was
She is for real!
"Avni." I called her still hugging her and she just tightened her hold on me.
"You're really here?" I asked her.
"I am not here actually this is a projection from mars. I moved there recently." She said sarcastically.
I released her from the hug and when I stepped aside the vase broken pieces were there all around us.
"First let me handle her!" Avni said and moved aside.
"How dare you replace me. You don't know the consequences." Trisha yelled and Avni just chuckled.
Is she serious?
Does Avni not know the seriousness of the situation?
"Care to tell what consequences?" Avni asked amused.
"Girl, you are not at all aware of what damage could be caused by this stunt of yours." Mr. Ahluwalia said gritting his teeth.
"Damage? And you know what damage could be caused to your reputation after everyone gets to know that you trapped Veer to marry your daughter who is already married?" Avni asked him raising her brows.
He looked shocked for a second but then continued
"I can manage that. But can you save his father from going behind bars?" Mr. Ahluwalia asked smirking.
Wait, What?
So, Trisha is really married!
I glared at Trisha but she smirked in my direction and said "Now, you won't get the papers Veer! And you can do nothing but see your downfall."
I was going to say something when Raghav piped in "Ohh... Are you by any chance talking about these papers?" Raghav asked showing a file.
I was just looking at everyone confused.
"What the hell? Give me the file!" Trisha said and lunged towards Raghav and he simply handed her the file.
Trisha furiously opened and started going through the documents.
After she was done with it she just had a look which clearly said What-the-fuck-just-happened.
She handed the file to her dad and he again started going through it.
Raghav said "Don't worry you can't runaway with these. They are just a copy. The orignal ones are safe with me."
"But h-ho-howw?" Trisha asked stammering.
I could clearly see she was confused and so was I.
I had no idea what was going on but also I know one thing and that is they have turned the game and now the ball in absolutely in our court.
"All thanks to now Mrs. Singhania." Mihir said smirking at Trisha and her father.
"And also, we have your marriage certificate. Your husband is also been informed about this second marriage of yours. He will be landing here anytime. So get ready to face him." Avni said and Tanu handed me a file which had Trisha's marriage certificate and her wedding pictures.
"This can't be true. You can't have the orignal papers! Nobody knew where they were except for us!" Mr. Ahluwalia said screaming.
"Lower your voice, Mr. Ahluwalia." Avni said glaring at him.
"Your genius daughter led us to the documents." Avni added looking at Trisha smiling.
"Remember when you heard us talking about the documents?" Arnav asked.
"Yess! I heard you guys talking that you have the orignal document with you but then I myself checked out the outhouse and the documents were still there." Trisha said still with a frown etched on her face.
"There! You were wrong. It was a set up. You were supposed to listen to our talks and then take us to the place where the documents were. And you exactly did that." Avni said shrugging.
"Yeah! Because of you we got to know that the documents were in the outhouse.
How smart of you to keep our documents in our outhouse. So that no one would suspect that the documents could be there." Arnav added and now their plan was getting clear in my head.
Smartasses!
"It was very difficult to find exactly where the documents were in outhouse.
So we had to set up and replace Avni with you so that we would get time to search for it." Raghav added.
"What if you guys would have never found it?" Mom asked curiously.
"Just asking out of curiosity, kids!" Mom said when everyone turned their heads towards her.
"Then even that was not a problem because Avni would have got married to Veer and they had no other option then back off because we had proofs that Trisha is already married." Tanu said shrugging.
"So, either way they were losing." Raghav added.
"This cannot be happening!" Trisha yelled.
"Ohh yess! Guess what? This is happening! Now get your bankrupt asses out of this house." Avni said glaring at both of them.
"You'll pay for it." Mr. Ahluwalia said.
"First get yourself out of the bankrupcy then we will talk about revenge Mr. Ahluwalia." Avni said in a very threatning tone.
And furious Avni is the worst.
Never!
I repeat never to mess with a furious Avni!
"How'd you know about the bankrupcy?" Trisha asked.
"I told you, Unlike you I have brains!" Avni said and smirked.
Hell lot of brains!
Raghav called in the security to escort them out and in no time they were out of my life tooo!
Yayyyiieeee!

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.

The Bronze Players of Recreation
The world of Creation has seen a recent explosion of what can only be called an adventurer’s culture over the past few decades. People who were once looked at as nothing more than lower class mercenaries rose to the ranks of heroes and legends as adventuring became recognized as an idealized lifestyle of overcoming hardship and finding triumph. With the establishment of a guild-based government system on the continent of Terramania, adventurers were soon legitimized and adventuring became a phenomenon universally accepted around the world. Redlette had retreated from this world to live on Earth for the remainder of her years, having been born and outcast by the gods of Creation. However, upon meeting a friend that she treasured dearly, she found herself longing for a return to her world—she wanted to experience it properly and go on adventures with someone whom she holds dear. Putting a plan into action, she meets with her friend, an awkward, nerdy boy by the username of Herring who she’d only known through years of playing online games with him, and invites him to go on this fantastic adventure with her. An adventure in another world had always been an impossible dream for Herring, but when he suddenly found himself with the opportunity to embark on one, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as books and shows made it out to be. Redlette was notorious for rushing into things without thinking them through, and he was flighty and weak. In the games they played together, they rarely grasped victory. They were losers through and through, both in hobby and life. Despite this, though, he takes the leap and sets off with Redlette into the world of Creation. Together they only had one goal: to have fun and go on the adventure of their lives. This time, they’d establish a guild of their own and be free to take on whatever exploits their hearts desired. This is the story of the founding of their guild. Author’s Notes: -My writing style is largely based off of the absurd amount of light novels I’ve read and anime I’ve watched, so it may come off as cartoonish or exaggerative at times. If that isn’t your thing, I’d steer clear of this story.-Not an MMO story.-No numerical stats.-Relatively slow pacing.-Posts are between 2000-5000 words weekly after Chapter 1.
