《Only You♥️》What a sight to watch!

I just peeked my head out of my blanket and saw her lying half on the couch and half on the floor.
I am here because I chose you!
I am chosing you since forever!
I don't know if it is the same for you.
For once, I wanted you to choose me but you didn't!
Her words were ringing in my ears.
Stupid brat!
I got up and walked towards her only to see that she was fast asleep.
After talking shit like that and taking my sleep away, she is literally sleeping like a log.
I just chuckled at her.
I picked her up in my arms and put her on the bed again.
She stirred in her sleep and a few hair tendrils fell on her face and she was scrunching her nose in sleep because of that.
I softly removed those away from her face.
Her face was glowing in the moonlight and she looked soo beautiful.
How did I get this lucky?
But why does she think that I've never chose her.
Well, when have you? Do you even remember one single time when you did choose her?
Mocked my conscience.
I just groaned as sunrays hit my face.
Yesterday night because of the fight I totally forgot to close the curtains.
I turned around away from the window and saw the other side of the bed empty.
"She is up already?" I muttered to myself.
I don't know how to react when I see her.
I mean I am kind of mad at her that she thinks like that about me but then it is really not her fault.
Ughhhh...!
I just got up groaning and did my morning business.
When I went towards the dining room everyone was seated over there smiling and laughing.
But what caught my attention was that Avni was blushing.
Did I see that right?
My own lips curved into a smile seeing her all red due to the blush.
I just went towards them and then heard Tanu saying "Arnav, now you will have to search for someone. Avni is already hitched."
"Damn it, Avni. Why did you choose my brother out of all the people? I mean am I not charming enough?" Arnav asked showing off his dimpled smile and I scoffed to gain his attention so that he could stop hitting on Avni right before my eyes.

"How many times do I remind you, she is a year elder to you?" I said taking my seat beside Tanu on the dinning table.
"What if she wasn't a year elder to me? You would've let me keep her?" Arnav asked me wiggling his eyebrows.
"Are you even listening to yourself? Let you keep her? Never!" I said glaring at him.
Then my eyes travelled to Avni who was sitting beside Arnav looking as beautiful as always. But today she looked something diffrent with the vermillion on her forhead and nupital chain around her neck. She looked more gorgeous.
What a sight to watch!
I was bought out of my dreamland when tanu snapped her fingers before my face.
I looked at her irritated.
"Just how much are you going to stare at her?" Tanu asked smiling.
"Umm hmm I wasn't staring." I said quickly opening my phone and going through some emails.
"Sure, you were not." She said chuckling.
"Why isn't she talking to you?" Tanu asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"Ask her!" I said rolling my eyes when I remembered our fight. It wasn't even a fight. She just talked whatever she felt like and slept.
Brat!
Just then Mom called her and she got up from the chair and that is when I saw that she was wearing a saree. And she looked absolutely breathtaking in that saree.
God, help me today!
The saree accentuated her curves perfectly and so it was very difficult for me to just sit there and watch her with my hands to myself.
After the breakfast I was going towards my room to get ready for office when mom called me "Veer, Don't tell me you are leaving for office." She said with an Are-you-serious look.
"Mom, I have meetings lined up. I did not want to spend much time home if I got married to Trisha so I made sure my schedule after wedding was tight." I said to her.
She just rolled her eyes at me.
"I am not leaving Avni anywhere. If you want to go you can." Mom said and Avni chose the exact moment to enter.
"Avni, do you mind spending a few days at home and not working with him?" Mom asked Avni and she grinned.
"I would love it!" She said still grinning.

Of course, she would!
"But I need her there. I can't work without her." I said to mom but she just rolled her eyes.
"As if you had her all these years!" Mom said and left with Avni.
"'Mom!" I whined but she turned deaf to my words.
.
.
I just returned from the office and plopped on the couch exhausted.
Everyone was seated enjoying their leisure time.
"Why is it that everyone of you is free and I have no time!" I whined.
"We clearly did not tell you to keep your schedule tight." Raghav said and rolled his eyes.
"Why are you here in my house? At this time?" I asked scowling at him.
Avni said to Tanu "I wonder how you and Arnav are such sweet people and your elder brother is one big rude ass jerk! That too born to such amazing parents."
Everyone started laughing at her statement.
Rude ass jerk?
"What? Did you forget that the big rude ass jerk is your husband?" I asked her narrowing my eyes.
She just rolled her eyes and left the living room.
"You guys really fought?" Mihir asked me.
"No! I did not fight at all. She just yelled at me and then slept." I said scrolling through my phone.
"On your wedding night, you guys fought?" Tanu asked with a bewidered expression.
"You are impossible, Veer! You don't even know she is gone through soo much so that you don't get married to Trisha." Raghav said glaring at me.
Just then the lights went off.
And we switched the flashlights on.
"Where is Avni?" I asked. The urgency could be heard in my voice.
Avni is absolutely afraid of darkness and she would be panicking right now.
"She went to your room, maybe." Tanu answered.
"Raghav check what is wrong with the lights. I'll go see Avni." I said and got up from the couch.
When I entered our room i called her "Avni."
"Veer!" She called from the closet.
I hurried towards the closet and searched for her. She was standing in a corner. The moment i entered the closet, she came and clung to me like her life depended on it.
"Sshh.. I am here. Don't worry. The lights will be on in a bit." I said to her stroking her hair.
I could feel her shaking and her body was cold.
"Avni, talk to me. You can even yell at me now. You were mad at me, right?" I started talking to her so that she would get distracted atleast.
"Yesss, I am mad at you. Because I have never been a priority for you." She said still her head pressed in my chest.
I chuckled at her.
"You've always been everything for me." I said to her still stroking her hair.
"Liar!" She said and suddenly the lights were back.
She tried to free herself from me but I held her tightly.
She just lifted her head from my chest and looking at me she said "The lights are back, Veer."
"I quite like it like this only. You in my arms." I said to her caressing her cheek and her cheeks turned a dark shade of red.
"And you are not sleeping on the couch today. Even if you are mad at me. You were really close to falling off the couch yesterday night." I said to her.
I pulled her more close by her waist and said "let's start this over."
"What?" She asked confused.
I couldn't concentrate on my words because of her hands on my chest and unknowingly her fingers were drawing patterns over my chest.
"I know I have made mistakes. Lots of them. But I was stupid. Now I know, I can't afford to lose you. These 4 years have been hell for me without you. I don't know if you trust me or not, but I desperately need you as a part of my life. Because you are the sole reason behind the sparkle in my eyes." I said to her and kissed her forhead.
She slipped her arms from my chest to neck and hugged me tightly.
"Well, you will have to prove it though." She said chuckling and removing herself.
"Even if it takes a lifetime, I would prove it to you. Because nothing matters more than you, nothing has ever. But I was just plain stupid to not take the hints that I was into you since the moment you've made me the first coffee." I said and she chuckled.
"Coffee ofcourse!" She said smacking my chest and laughing.
