AUTHOR'S POV -

Its CSK versus MI on the 19th, the first match of the most awaiting series, the Indian Premier League. Everyone was happy to finally see some cricket on TV and more than cricket they were happy to see Indian cricketers on the field back again. While most fans were counting the days after which they would be seeing their Thala, Mahi bhai on field, this is what was happening between out Hitman and King Kohli were arguing as usual.

"CSK versus MI was destined to be the first match so that Mahi bhai's first kiddo meets Mahi bhai first." Ro bragged, MI was on their way to the stadium for the match and Virat had called Rohit obviously not to wish him all the best but to tell him how he wants to watch some good cricket and to inform him how well prepared RCB is that he wants to make sure that the competition is good by watching the first match.

"Aisa kuch nahi hota, it would have been MI versus RCB if CSK members were still COVID positive." Virat said.

"I will tell Mahi bhai face to face that you wanted their players to still be COVID positive, you know na Deepak was also one of them, I will tell him also that face to face." Rohit said stressing on face to face.

"Stop it Ro, I know why you are saying Face to Face." Virat said in an annoyed manner.

"Even god wanted Mahi bhai's favorite kiddo to meet him first after all this pandemic and all and we all know who is favorite is." Rohit said over excitedly, he couldnt control his excitement at all, it was over the roof.

"I am his favorite, he just tells that you are also so that you dont feel bad." Virat said.

"Its the vice versa if you look at the truth." Rohit said.

"Shut up and get lost, biscuit is calling me." Virat said.

"Ajeeb hain, you say that I love food but you love food more than me because food even talks to you." Rohit said.

"Get lost Ro, I am talking about AB." Virat said.

"Vi you realize that Sammie and my nephew or niece's birthdays will be around each other, like Sammie's is on 30 December and even can you just tell me what you will name your kids cause its annoying to say niece or nephew I would rather say the names. All I mean is their birthdays will be around each other cause Anushka's due date is around January. What is the baby's birthday is on 30 December only, it will be double party." Rohit said to change the topic.

"Danielle and Anushka both are pregnant, so both of the kids will have company." Virat said and Rohit was done talking to Virat and he hung up.

"Go marry your biscuit." he murmured angrily.

"Why am I spoiling my mood? I am meeting Mahi bhai before him and before anyone else, every one will be very jealous." Rohit spoke to himself again.

"Iski satak gayi hain kya?" Hardik who saw Rohit talking to himself asked.

Rohit was very excited to meet his Mahi bhai, it had been so long since any of them met him face to face and most importantly hugged or slept on his lap properly. He was thinking about how happy Mahi bhai will also be to see him and how he will run to his Mahi bhai and hug him and how Mahi bhai will also hug him back with the same amount of love and excitement to see his kiddo.

The thought of meeting his Mahi bhai after so long made him really happy and he started going back on memory lane about how he was his Mahi bhai's first kiddo, how MSD shaped his career by making him an opener, how when no one else trusted him to do well it was his Mahi bhai who still had hopes from Rohit and trusted him to do well, how his first double century was when MSD was with him on the field, so many more memories.

Rohit smiled thinking about all these memories.

"I am telling you Jassi, five minutes back he was talking to himself and now he is smiling to himself he is gone mad, I will take over the captainship today warna his mental imbalance will make us loose and all will know that our captain is mad." Hardik said to Jassi.

"Shut up Harry, bhai is probably sleeping with eyes closed and he saw some good dream." Jassi said and Hardik gave him a look and went back to examining Rohit.

"Why are you two staring at me?" Rohit asked when his thoughts were broken because of a sharp turn the bus driver took.

"He is alive, we thought you died with open eyes." Hardik said and Rohit ignored him thinking that he doesnt want to spoil his mood before he meets Mahi bhai.

They reached the stadium in some time and Rohit jumped out of his seat and dashed towards the door even before anyone could gather their things.

"I have to leave first, captain duties, someone, anyone get my kitbags." Rohit said as the driver opened the door and he ran in.

"Sir your temperature please." a person stopped him and he realized he has to check his temperature and sanitize himself so he ran there.

As soon as he finished it he ran ahead and another employee stopped him and said, "Sir your kitbag? For sanitization."

"Can you see anything in my hand no right?" Rohit said a little rudely, he just wanted to meet Mahi bhai, he then ran inside and went to check the dressing rooms but then he found out that the CSK team had not arrived yet.

"They keep saying that I am late always, this is why I am late, no one bothers to come on time when I am on time." Rohit murmured and then he saw the rest of the team come and he saw Jassi struggling with Rohit's kitbag and bagpack along with his own so Rohit went and took it from Jassi immediately and kept it in place, thats when he realized how rude he was to the employee at the entrance, he immediately regretted it.

"Guys get ready, i will be there in 2 minutes." Rohit said and he ran out.

"Why is he running around so much today?" Hardik asked.

"He has a lot of work unlike you Harry." Jassi said

"I am the all rounder of the team, the team cant function without me - " Hardik was going to go on to explain how important he is to the team and Jassi stopped him by saying, "I have heard this a infinity times, find a junior he wont stop you go."

Rohit ran towards the entrance and found the same person he was so rude to and went towards him.

"Sorry mahn, I was really ride to you." Rohit said and that employee was shocked, he didnt expect him to say sorry and he was used to famous people being rude to him.

"Sir why are you saying sorry? its okay." that employee said.

"No I was really rude I didnt realize, sorry, I was in a hurry actually." Rohit said.

CSK team bus just stopped in front of the stadium and they all were getting down.

"Mahi bhai, which dressing room is MI's?" Jaddu asked MSD as they got down.

"Opposite to ours maybe, how am I supposed to know that?" MSD asked.

"Its okay i will find out, I have a perfect trap for Ro, I need to get on my game now." Jaddu said and he ran to get in first and MSD shook his head negatively, he knew that Jaddu was planning one of his nasty pranks on his first kiddo, Ro. He immediately thought of warning Rohit when he meets him.

MSD was also looking forward to meet his kiddo, he had been away from them from even before the lock down, he never knew that he would stay away from his kiddos for so long. Though he has many kiddos, Virat, Jaddu, Shikhar but the most heart warming one would be Rohit because he was his first kiddo. He missed Rohit nagging in front of him about Virat, sleeping like a baby, running upto him whenever he realizes that he forgot something, dragging him along to try new cuisines with him and so much more.

He entered the stadium and when he was undergoing the sanitization he saw Rohit talking to someone, he finished his sanitization and went near him and heard him apologizing that man.

"No you all sanitize this place and keep us safe, you asked for the kitbag for sanitization for my safety only but I reacted that way, sorry. Tell me how can I make it up to you? I will give you a selfie, is that okay?" Rohit asked and MSD smiled at how Rohit was being so humble.

"Thank you sir." the employee said and he took his phone to take a selfie and Rohit saw MSD behind in the front camera. As soon as the selfie got over he didnt turn to meet MSD but he went ahead. MSD thought that he doesnt know that he is behind him thats why he did that..

"Ro" MSD screamed and went behind him but Ro kept walking ahead and he joined his team, MSD assumed that Rohit couldnt hear him because there was no way Rohit could ignore him.

"Bhai you kept us waiting so long na, now I keep you waiting." Rohit thought.

The teams were in their dressing rooms waiting for the time they will be called for toss when Rohit went out to get water and he saw MSD.

"Ro." MSD said but Rohit ignored him and now is when MSD actually felt bad.

"Rohit." MSD said now.

"Yes MS." Rohit said and MSD was shocked with that tone, none of his kiddos call him MS.

"Well nothing, I just wanted to inform you that the third chair from the right corner is malfunctioned, have a look." MSD said, he saw Jaddu tampering with it.

"Okay thank you MS." Rohit said and left and he went inside again.

"What is wrong with him?" MSD asked to himself, Rohit never called him MS even when he wasnt his kiddo yet.

"Mahi bhai." Hardik exclaimed and he went to meet MSD and he was talking to him.

"Harry, tell me one thing, what it wrong with RO?" MSD asked Hardik after talking to him for some time.

"I have been telling Jassi since morning that Ro has gone mad, finally someone who agrees with me." Hardik said and that time only the announcements of the toss was done and MSD and Rohit went down for the toss.

Rohit was very formal through out the toss as well and they did an elbow touch.

"All the best Ro" MSD said affectionately.

"All the best MS." Rohit said formally and they left, MSD still didnt understand why Rohit was acting so differently, he expected Rohit to jump upon him the minute he enters.

The match went on and led to a CSK win, and it was then followed by the match presentation ceremony, later when all were back in the dressing rooms, MSD went out again to meet Rohit who was talking with Pollard about something.

"Ro" MSD said.

"Good game MS." Rohit said.

"Pollard, great game, can I have a talk with Rohit?" MSD asked looking at Pollard who was next to Rohit.

"Sure, why not." Pollard said and he took that as a cue to leave.

"Kya hain tumhe?" MSD asked strictly.

"Kuch nahi.." Rohit said.

"MS MS kya laga rakha tha?" MSD asked a little angrily now.

"Calm down MS." Rohit said, putting his hand on MSD's shoulder ,thinking of continuing the act for some more time.

"Phirse MS?" MSD asked and put Rohit's hand down from his shoulder.

"Arre MS, why are you soo hyper Captain Cooolll" Rohit said extending cool which further annoyed MSD.

"Ro stop it warna tujhe thappad marunga." MSD threatned Rohit, he was annoyed now and he just wanted Rohit to hug him and tell him how much he missed him, Rohit was happy that his acting had exactly the effect he wanted it to have.

"MS ko ghusa bhi aata hain? I thought that MS was Captain cooooooooool" Rohit said and now MSD raised his hand and for a second Rohit thought that MSD might actually hit him but MSD just put his hand on Rohit's back and pulled him into a big hug.

Rohit smiled and hugged MSD even tighter like his life depended on him and they remained ike that for a few minutes and then broke apart and MSD saw Rohit grinning.

"You kept us waiting so long to meet you so i thought even you should feel how we did." Rohit said with a smile plastered across his face and MSD wondered why he didnt realize that earlier, maybe because he was incomplete without the hugs his kiddos give him that give him the power to read their minds and actions.

"And you love me a lot so you missed me the most." Rohit said and jumped on MSD to hug him again.

"Bas bacha how much will you hug me now, come stand properly." MSD said after Rohit would just not leave him.

"Okay, but wait, this is the I missed you hug." Rohit said and hugged him again.

"This is the angry hug because you didnt inform us about the retirement." Rohit said and hgged him.

"This is the hug you would have gotten after your proper last match which you didnt." Rohit said and hugged him again.

"This is the retirement party hug but we will still have a party and celebration okay." Rohit said and hugged him again.

"This is the Virat troubled me so much and I want to complain hug." Rohit said and hugged him.

"This is the meeting you after long time hug." Rohit said and hugged him again.

"Stop stop Ro." MSD finally said realizing that there might be many more 100 hugs Rohit might have in his list .

"Last one last one, this is I know I am your favorite but you dont tell that to anyone cause or else they will be jealous hug" Rohit said and MSD laughed and let Rohit hug him again.

"Social distancing died." MSD laughed.

"We are in bio bubble Mahi bhai." Rohit said with a I am not going to leave you tone.

"I know, I know." MSD said knowing that he wont be left by Rohit atleast until Rohit is pulled by someone because their team bus is leaving.

"How much did you miss me bhai?" Rohit randomly asked.

"I missed you more than you think I must have." MSD said smiling fondly at his kiddo.

"Really? then I missed you more than you missed me." Rohit said.

"I know you might have ran out of the bus to meet me before you got this stupid idea." MSD said and Rohit gave him a 'how do you know that look' but since MSD had the hugs from his kiddos he got the power to read them properly back again.

"I know everything Ro." MSD said.

"Dont talk like god." Rohit said

"So you know how god talks?" MSD asked.

"I am guessing okay, and I am very innocent so god blessed me and he told me how he talks." Rohit said and MSD rolled his eyes at Rohit's explanation.

"You know bhai, you should have not retired without our permission." Rohit said.

"Still angry about that?" MSD askedm he knows how angry and upset his kiddos were especially Rohit and Virat.

"No not after meeting you first" Rohit said.

"So meeting me first, before Virat, solves it?" MSD asked.

"Meeting you first solves it cause I get all the love." Rohit said and MSD laughed at his childishness, a 32 year old kid, no matter how old he becomes or what he becomes to the world, he is always Ro is always his kiddo.
