《Rosa Perri Gilbert》Chapter 12

"Why don't I just go and talk to her?" Perri said, "She's my sister, she's not gonna rat me out to a bunch of witches who want to kill me."
"I wouldn't put it past her," Bekah mumbled, Perri decided to ignore her comment.
"Fine," Nik said after thinking for a moment, "But we are going with you to the boarding house." Perri knew there was no use in arguing so she just nodded.
Instead of driving they were just going to run. Kol had placed Perri on his back and before she could do anything about it he blurred to the Salvatore's. They soon arrived and rather than knocking on the door they just waked right in.
"Klaus what are you doing here?" Damon asked, annoyance clear in his voice.
Nik was about to say something but Perri stopped him, "Something tells me it'll be better if I handle this, and it might end with less chance of everyone dead." Nik nodded, chuckling slightly and stepped back.
"Elena can we talk?" Perri asked, indicating she wanted to have a private conversation, away from the eavesdropping vampires.
"She's not going anywhere with you," Damon said pushing Elena behind him.
Elena lightly nudged Damon to the side, "How could you not tell me?" she asked angrily, "Or at least Jeremy?"
Perri just stood there for a second, "You're joking right? I just found out this morning."
Elena looked down, telling slightly guilty, but soon recovered, "Really? Is that why you've been hanging out with the Mikaelson's?" Elena couldn't help but think that Perri had known for a while about her abilities and the Mikaelson's were somehow training her.
"What, do you think I'm gonna use my 'new found powers' for evil?" Perri asked sarcastically. Elena just stared at the blonde, "You can't honestly think that little of me?"

Elena just stayed quite, with her arms crossed. After a few moments she spoke, "I think it would be best if you kept your distance from us. Including Jeremy."
Perri gaped at Elena, "You can't do that. You can't keep me from my own twin."
"I can and I will," Elena stated, "It's for his protection, you don't know what you're capable of and you could-"
"Could what? Hurt him? Kill him?" Perri asked furiously, she was almost shaking with rage. She turned away from Elena and walked out of the boarding house. The Mikaelson's were following close behind.
Kol tried to talk to her but she just brushed him off, saying she wanted to be alone for a while. Perri wake to her house and went to her and started packing away her things. She could handle learning about the supernatural and how one day she would be apart of it. But she couldn't handle her own sister to stay away.
Perri took out her phone and called her Aunt Natasha.
Once she hung up Perri finished packing her things and called a cab. While waiting for her ride Perri triple checked the luggage to make sure she had everything. She also wrote a note to Jeremy and left it on his bed. Soon enough the taxi came, Perri put her stuff in the trunk and told the driver where to go.
"You aren't running away are ya?" the cab driver asked her as she got in the car.
"No, I'm actually going to school," she laughed, "I go to the Dance Academy in Australia."
"Okay, just as long as I'm not helping you in your great escape," He chuckled.
In about an hour, they reached the airport. Liam, the cab driver, helped Perri with her bags. She payed him and waved goodbye. Walking into the building she got her ticket, her bags checked, and got through security within 40 minutes. Which was surprising. She got to her terminal and old and to wait another 30 minutes until they started boarding.

While she was in line Perri's phone started ringing. She looked at the caller I.D, it read, Kol. She decided to ignore him, she didn't feel like taking to anyone at the moment. Perri walked onto the plane and took a seat in the back next to the window.
The flight was going to be hella long, so Perri decided to plug her headphones in and get a head start on her school work.
*After Plane Ride*
Perri had gotten a text from her cousin Ethan, telling her that he was waiting outside. Perri quickly found her luggage and made her way outside.
"Hey Rosie," Ethan greeted as she walked toward him. Perri didn't say anything but just went straight into hugging him. Ethan hugged back squeezing her comfortingly, "You wanna talk about it?"Perri shook her head, sniffing quietly, "C'mon lets go."
When they got to the house, Ethan helped Perri with her bags, they left them by the front door and continued on into the house.
"Oh darling, how was your flight?" Natasha asked her niece pulling her into a hug.
"It was fine, long, but fine," She said smiling softly.
"I thought you could stay in Kat's room until school starts," Nat said, "It'll be just like old times."
"That's great, thanks Aunt Nat," Perri said, "Will I still be able to go to the Academy and use the studio?"
"Of course. Are you working on a new piece?" Sebastian asked walking into the den.
"Eh, kind of. We'll see," Perri giggled, hugging her uncle.
"Well I can't wait to see it when you're finished," he said smiling, "That's a nice necklace," he said pointing to the golden crown.
"Oh yeah Elena said mom had gotten it for me. She said she forgot about it after the accident," Perri said, Sebastian furrowed his eyebrows as if he were concentrating on something.
The rest of day went on fine, Perri had turned her phone on 'Do Not Disturb' also she didn't hear her phone going off every 5 seconds. She knew that she'd have to answer and/or text back to everyone, but for now she was going to ignore them.
Perri went to bed pretty early that night, she was not looking forward to jet lag. She had just barely gotten used to the time difference in Mystic Falls, and now she had to go back to Sydney time.
As Perri was falling asleep she couldn't help but think back on how her uncle had reacted to her necklace. After he had asked about it the first time, she noticed he kept asking her questions about Mystic Falls. Like the people and if there were any new people living there, or how everyone was acting. He even asked about the animal attacks. Perri new the 'animal attacks' were really just vampires but the why Sebastian asked about them, it made Perri think that he knew something about the supernatural.

Shift (Ben 10+DCU Fanfiction)
Omnitrix+ DCU, what's not to like? The main character will not be Ben Tennyson, rather someone from our world who gains the Omnitrix Hello! This fanfiction Shift is what I wanted to do for an homage to what I thought were underrated pieces of media, Ben 10 and some DCU characters. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t add context to two of the major works that inspired Shift, Dial, and A Practical Guide to Evil. Dial is another ben 10 fanfiction, however that story takes place in the MCU, and with an adult that is already a grown-up at the beginning of the story. Dial, by my own accounts, is more superficially Like shift, even though the Omnitrix is a central device in both. My protagonist starts out around 18 years old, so is less serious and can build relationships with some of the junior justice league members, and then later on in the story meet the Justice League officially. The tone will be more light-hearted at the beginning of the story as teenagers are known to use sarcasm and jokes at each other’s expense. Furthermore, in Dial, the protagonist has a well-developed knowledge of the MCU which he uses to have knowledge on events and characters, that the character in Shift will not have. While the MC will have some knowledge of people's abilities, lesser-known characters and people's real identities will be not included as much, but the MC of Shift will have some knowledge. APGTE's influence is deeper than Dials'. The epigraphs at the beginning of every chapter are an example of that, a place for light-hearted jokes and worldbuilding that's not pure exposition, but I also want to incorporate narrative stories to Shift (heroes win more than lose, providence, etc) on a lighthearted scale. While the heroes of Shift will have to work to win against villains, the MC of Shift will be allowed limited precognition, through narratives tropes and archetypes as a trade-off of less knowledge of the DCU. For example, a villain a hero faces might monologue, but the MC will not instinctively know how to counter every villain they encounter. I also wanted to bring in more realism than usual superhero stories, ie: the MC cannot just walk and have a meeting with Batman or Superman, he would have to “work his way up” in terms of credibility and whatnot. The Aliens that show up in Shift I tried to make different than the ones in Dial, just to share the love for lesser-known characters. And to make it fairer for the villains of the DCU, the main character will not wantonly use if gain at all an Alien X or a ben 10 form of Kryptonians, just so the characters have to work a little bit for victory. I urge anyone reading to consider checking out both APGTE and Dial as they are both amazing works, and I hope you enjoy them. The beginning of how the MC enters the DCU will not be as important as him actually existing in that universe, so that is why a ton of time is not spent on that part of the story. Chapters will be around 2.5 thousand words and come out around every weekday.

A god, who grew to have no equal. This is the story of a man wielding the elements and a lonely sword who rose to conquer the heavens*********My story is about rising to the peak of cultivation. Almost everything in my story has behind it a framework, something that can be explained by another underlying reason. This is my first story and I know I'm bad at names, but I'll try my best. English is my first language, so I should be ok on the grammar side. However, please let me know when I make a mistake so I can fix it.
