《Unexpected-- Under Editing as a new book》TWO

I woke up with a start, gasping for air as sweat beaded on my forehead. I had another nightmare. Each one is so real and utterly terrifying. My chest heaved up and down as I tried to distinguish reality from dream.
In an instant, I jumped out of bed and went over to my desk, grabbing my notebook and a pencil as I began to quickly draw what I had seen. It was a pack of the human-wolves I constantly dream up. They all had deep, ruby eyes that struck fear in me. Two of them, they were merged together in a menacing way, it was a strange sight.
A sigh fell from my lips as I looked at my finished product, these drawings help me deal with my nightmares. They actually make them less scary and, instead, make me realize how incredibly crazy I actually am. Which, I'm sure, isn't a good sign.
I turned to my clock, it was 6:45 am. A groan left my lips as I realized that it was our first day back at school, and, well, I only got two weeks off so, this will be great. I felt exhausted from these dreams, that have only gotten worse since summer school ended.
Standing from my desk, I grabbed a towel and headed to the bathroom, as I turned on the water memories of what happened with Scott and I that night flooded my head. It was as if my skin was instantly set aflame as I remembered the way his hands touched my skin. How his lips kissed mine. I remembered every kiss, touch, and feeling in that moment and I swear my legs went weak thinking of the things we did.
I shook my head, clearing my mind as I let the hot water fall down my face. I can't think about it anymore, no, two weeks of replaying that night is enough. School is happening again and Allison is back from France. He'll likely get back with her. I was just a fling, a lapse in judgement. A distraction from Allison, his one true love.
I turned off the water and wrapped a white fluffy towel around my body and walked to my mirror that was clouded with steam. I sighed and wiped a part clean with my hand, giving my view of a blurry version of my reflection. Today is going to be very eventful. How do I face him again? And act like nothing happened?
"I can do it."
〰️〰️〰️
I left my room, fully dressed in my outfit which consisted of a plain white tank top that ended right above my belly button and my jeans. I wore a black belt and my white sneakers. I also wore my locket that my mom gave me when I was eight and my charm bracelet I got from Stiles for my birthday last year.
My bag hung on my shoulder as I walked over to Stiles room, where dad stood in his doorway. "Morning daddy." I smiled at him as I looked into Stiles room where he sat by his computer doing intensive research.
"You know how many vehicle collisions last year involved deer?" He asked, not even giving us time to reply before stating the exact number. "247,000."

"Oh God, please go to school. You're going to make yourself and your sister late." Dad shook his head in irritation. Stiles always is getting hung up on things, to the point where he obsesses. I don't mind it much, actually I think it's sort of adorable that he has a thing. It's better than my thing-- having freaky nightmares and having to draw them out.
"Yes. Let's go. Please." I sighed, crossing my arms while looking at my brother, who ignored us both as if we weren't even in the same room as him. He also does that a lot. Pretends we're not there. Especially when he's onto something. Now, that is what annoys me.
"But that's crossing the road. This one last night came right down the middle." Stiles continued typing. I instantly thought back to my drawing from a few nights ago. It was a deer that literally ran into someone's car, shattering the windshield and killing itself out of fear of something.
"What deer?" I asked, curious as to if this deer ran into Stiles' car. AKA my ride to school and my baby. The car was mom's and I'd hate if it was ruined... also, I really don't want to walk to school.
"The one that hit Lydia and Allison's car last night." Stiles replied quickly.
"I'm not gonna beg you." Dad walked into Stiles room, to stand behind him.
"Okay, good. I'm impervious to your influences anyway." Stiles spoke, not really letting dad finish.
"Would you consider bribe?" Dad asked, clearly wanting him out of the house.
"You couldn't meet my price." I scoffed at my brother, he is way to difficult sometimes.
"Extortion?" Dad offered again.
Stiles still continued to type away. "You got nothing on me." I laughed.
"What about that time when you—" Stiles cut me off with a glare. I closed my mouth and nodded, a smile on my lips.
"Okay." Dad nodded as he grabbed onto Stiles chair, pulling him away from the computer.
"Dad, what are you doing?" Stiles attempted to still try and type on his keyboard. "Dad, what are you doing?" He repeated as I fell into a fit of giggles.
"Ahh." He groaned as he thumped on the ground. I let out a loud laugh as I watched him wince in pain.
"Victoria, make sure your delinquent of a brother gets to school. Preferably on time." Dad gave me a kiss on top of my head before he left the house, for work I assume.
"You shoulda took the bribe." I laughed as I entered the room. "Can we go now, please." I shut his computer and left the room with him right behind me.

We pulled up to the school, earlier than I expected. I pulled down the Jeep mirror and looked at myself, fixing my loosely curled hair and applying lip gloss. I'd cut my hair last weekend, and it now fell just above my shoulders, I loved it.
"Can I borrow your journal? The one you were drawing in?" Stiles asked me as we got out of the Jeep and began walking into the school, to meet up with Scott no doubt.
I gave my brother a strange look. "Why do you need my journal?" I know he's weird and all but sometimes he goes a bit overboard. What in the world could he need my weird drawings for?

"Uh, there was a drawing assignment over break and I need it for my art class." I gave him a questioning look. "You don't take a drawing class." I responded. Stiles looked dumbfounded, he was caught in a lie. Ha.
Before he was able to speak, Scott came up behind us and pushed his way between us. My cheeks tinted red and my heart started to beat fast. Not in the 'oh-my-god-he's-so-hot' way but the 'oh-shit-I'm-super-nervous' way.
"Hey." Scott smiled at me. I smiled back. "Hi." I responded quietly, looking down at the ground as we continued out walk to class. "I think I'm going to ask Derek for help, with the whole getting a tattoo thing." Scott looked to Stiles.
My brother looked at Scott with complete shock. "You want to ask Derek for help? Why? Why?" I looked at the boys, my brother mainly.
"Derek who?" I asked, they better not be talking about Derek Hale. He's a total psychopath who was arrested for killing his sister, he didn't do it but, he was still a suspect and that is some scary shit if I do say so myself.
"Hale." Scott replied quickly, looking at me directly in my eyes with something I didn't recognize. I stopped the boys in their tracks. "Derek Hale is bad news. Stiles, dad will literally murder you if he finds out that you're even associating with that--that criminal." I crossed my arms, making my point completely clear.
It's not only that I know what he's done that scares me. I've also had dreams about him as a wolf thing. It's terrifying. "And that's why you won't tell dad. Besides, it's not like I want to associate with him. Scott needs to meet with him for god knows what."
Scott gave Stiles a look. "That.... is.... because...." He drew out each word for longer than it needed to be said, causing me to raise my brows. "Derek is my cousin. Yes, he and I are distant relatives." Scott spoke quickly, directing the reply to me but, looking at Stiles the whole time.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, it's your funeral." I quickly dug through my bag and grabbed my journal, handing it to Stiles. "Here. I dunno what you need it for but, you better have it back to me later. I need it for... stuff." If by stuff I mean the daydreams I get which are equally as terrifying as the nightmares, then it is stuff.
I walked away from the boys and to my locker. I like to get my books before class starts. I leaned my head against the locker, I can't believe I totally mommed him. Warning him of the dangers of Derek Hale. Ugh, I'm so irritating at times.
I looked at my phone. 8:28. Shit, I'm going to be late due to my momentary meltdown. I quickly grabbed my book and rushed to class, where everyone already was seated. Even the boys were here before I was. I turned red as the teacher glanced at me. "Hello miss..." She trailed off.
"Stilinski." I placed my hand out for her to shake. "I'm so sorry that I'm lat-" My words stopped as her hand gripped mine.
The world fell away and I saw... images. Terrifying ones. Melissa, dad, and Mr. Argent they were locked in some sort of basement tied to a pole. And then Stiles, Scott, and Allison were in ice baths dead. And then I saw it this dark figure was holding me down, tying my with ropes. It brought a knife up and began to speed it towards my chest.
The images fell away and I saw the world as I let out a glass shattering scream, shocking everyone. Tears fell from my face as a sentence left my lips. "They're all dead." I was plunged into darkness.
〰️〰️〰️
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
I could feel the pounding headache before I even opened my eyes. I blinked as the white room blinded me, a groan left my lips. Where am I?
I tried to sit up but, I felt two sets of hands pushing me back down, I looked up at the two bodies attached to the hands. Scott? Stiles? I looked around, the beep was coming from a monitor. I was in a gown, laying in a hospital bed with an IV sticking out of my arm. Dad was pacing at the end of my bed.
"Wh-" I tried to form words but my voice was hoarse and my throat was so dry. I cleared my throat a bit before trying to speak again. "Why am I at the hospital?" My dad turned to me the moment he heard my voice. They all looked so worried, which confused me further. The last thing I remember is handing Stiles my journal...
"You completely blacked out in class. You began muttering things and then you screamed. Everyone was quiet while you began crying and saying something like 'They're all dead.'" Stiles spoke in one breath. "And then you fell to the floor, completely blacked out. I tried to get to you, so did Scott. But, these birds... they all came flying into the classroom and attacking people."
Everything came flooding back, like a movie in my mind. Being late to class, the teacher... the vision I had. I felt myself shiver from fear or the cold, I'm not sure exactly which one it was. "I'm going to get a nurse." My dad left the room, probably to find Melissa.
"I think I'm going insane, Stiles." I looked to him as I thought back to my vision. "I had this weird... vision. You guys were in it this time and-and... Only crazy people see what I do. I mean... you saw my journal--" My voice broke slightly and I could feel tears in my eyes as I motioned angrly to his bag, where I knew my journal was. Stiles didn't say anything and instead grabbed the journal, quickly flipping through my drawings then looked at Scott, then back at the drawings. Then back at Scott again.
"Scott... I think you should see this."
