《Control (Book 1 of Control Series)》Chapter 11

Groaning, Rosaline sits herself up, while holding her head that has a pounding headache. A results from last night's activities.
Last night, when Dylan and Rosaline arrived, at Dylan's estate there was a party going on, most likely done without him knowing, since Dylan looked surprised when she heard –or rather felt- the music and saw the multiple hundred people, that all looked as if they were all drunk. For 10 minutes Rosaline, watched as shock, realization and anger took turns dancing across his facial expressions. It was amusing to watch, until Dylan took her wrist in his iron grip and dragged her towards the house full of drunk people and potential disaster.
When they entered the house, immediately her nostrils were filled with the smell of liquor and she and Dylan were squished between sweaty bodies. As they moved deeper into the house, the music shaking her bones, she felt Dylan grip on her wrist loosen. She tried to get closer to Dylan-as not to get lost-, but someone bumps into her and she falls forward and out of pure instinct pulls her hand out of Dylan's grip to brace herself. It wasn't until she hit the floor and groaned, that she realized what just happened. Quickly, she got to her feet and looked around, but found nothing, but people dancing and multi-colored lights that made her dizzy. A feeling of helplessness came over her and Rosaline had a strong urge to cry. "Hey." She looks up to see a stranger looking down at her with a look of concern. "You okay?" She shook her head and a tear slid down her cheek. A finger wipes her tear which caused her to look up at the stranger, who gave her a gentle smile. "Let's go somewhere with less people," the stranger suggested and not knowing what else to do Rosaline nodded and took his outstretched hand.
He led her through the crowd, all the while she had a knuckle-white grip on his hand, not having wanted to get lost in the crowd. Again. After they pushed through the crowd they stumbled into a large kitchen that was mostly surprisingly empty. There were people here and there, but not a huge crowd, like when Rosaline and Dylan first entered. The stranger let go of her hand and crouched down in front of her and gave her a small smile. "Would you like something to drink," the stranger asked and feeling a little parched, Rosaline nodded. The stranger's smiles widened and he stood to his full height which Rosaline noticed was very tall. "Stay here." Rosaline nodded, stood in the corner of the kitchen and watched through the kitchen doorway as people grind against each other and did some...things that made Rosaline cringe. "Here you go." A red cup is shoved into her hand and without thinking, she took a huge gulp and went coughing fit from the burning in her throat. Her eyes watered and she pushed the cup away from her with her face twisted up and her nose crinkled. "What is this," Rosaline wheezed. The stranger laughed and gave her another smile. "It's just something to put you at ease, but it won't if you don't drink it all." Rosaline eyed the cup, before bringing it to her lips. She slowly drunk it, ignoring the burning in her throat and-

Rosaline sighs and puts her head in her hands, trying to remember anything else that happened last night, as questions fill her head. Why was there a party at his house last night? How did she get here in this bedroom? What happened after she drunk whatever it was she drunk? Why did she even drink whatever was in that cup? That last question was answered instantly. Because you're a stupid bitch and wanted to lead on someone, so you leaned on a stranger. Jared turned your brain into mush and you were only with him for a week. Rosaline groans and slams herself back on the bed. It takes a moment for Rosaline to realize that there was a naked man lying next to her.
Quickly, Rosaline shoots up and scrambles out the bed, stumbling and landing with a thump on the floor. She moans loudly, before peeling herself off the floor and wincing at the pain in her back. It also took her a moment for her to realize that she wasn't in the clothes she was in last night. Instead of the dress that Jared put on her- which she had to admit was kind of cute- she's in a short silk gown that barely covered her assets. Blushing, she quickly stands up and pulls the gown down roughly, and turns her attention to the naked man in her bed. Did she really loose her virginity to a stranger, she asks herself. She then shakes her head. No, of course not, even drunk Rosaline would never give herself to a stranger. Besides, Rosaline rubs her thighs together, there's no soreness that would indicate such. With a sigh of relief, Rosaline begins to slowly tiptoe to the door when a groan came from the stranger. Rosaline freezes. Go back to sleep, she inwardly pleads. Please go back to bed so I can leave. Luck was never on Rosaline's side, since as soon as she finishes the plead the stranger sighs and sits up rubbing his eyes. Rather than taking that as her chance to run, Rosaline decides to ogle at the stranger's bare skin, her eyes rising from his tempting v-line, up to his sex pack, and up to his dark pink nipples and up to his handsome looking face...that looks oddly familiar. Rosaline's jaw drops and her face turns into a dark shade of red. The 'stranger' that was sleeping next to her, wasn't a stranger at all, it was Dylan. Rosaline smacks her forehead. Really, she slept with Dylan.

"And that's a bad thing?" Rosaline jumps and looks at Dylan who has a sleepy smile on his face and is looking as sexy as ever. Rosaline clears her throat and gives Dylan a glare, feeling herself getting angry. "Yes, it is," She barks, grabbing on to that anger and rolling with it. "Why were you sleeping with me and what the hell happened last night?" Whoa, she thinks. My anger takes me places. The look Dylan gives her however, causes her anger and confidence to diminish. "Well, Rosaline, let me explain something." Rosaline gulps as he slowly gets out the bed, the sheet that was covering his lower body slipping away. She feels a tinge disappointment when the sheets drop to reveal plaid pajama pants. She quickly stomps down the disappointment with a wash of embarrassment. What the hell! "You went off on your own like an idiot, got yourself drunk and almost got yourself raped," Dylan says matter-of-factly. Rosaline pales as horror fills her. How does she not remember any of that? Maybe Dylan was making it all up? Yeah, that had to be it.
Rosaline rolls her eyes and crosses her arms over her chest. "Well then, since I almost got raped why don't you fix me some breakfast, since it is your fault." She doesn't know why she said that. How could something be his fault, when it never even happened? The guilty look on Dylan's face made her regret ever opening her mouth. "Dylan I-." Dylan's phone rings and with lightning speed, he snatches it from his bedside table and slams it onto his ear.
"Yes?" His face hardens, letting Rosaline know whatever it is, it wasn't pleasant.
"Give me your coordinates and I'll be right there." Dylan walks towards Rosaline and she takes a step back, but he doesn't stop. Quickly he plants a kiss on her forehead and walks out the door.
Rosaline's face reddens. He just kissed her....on the forehead. Rosaline feels ashamed at the fact that she has to hold herself from squealing like a fan girl finally being able to see their idol. She slowly draws in a breath, before slowly letting it out and continues this process until her face turns back to its normal shade and she no longer has the urge to squeal.
Though no matter how many breaths she takes, she knows that the wishing that he'd kissed her on the lips, instead of her forehead won't go away.
