《Control (Book 1 of Control Series)》Chapter 59

We get in the car and I'm confused when I see that the kids aren't in there. I look to my right and give Dylan-who's on the phone- a questioning look. He doesn't pay attention, either that or he ignores me. I look in front of me to Sebastian but, he too is on the phone so I turn to Jared who has his head back on the head rest, his eyes closed. I then gently shake his knee and he groans. "Where r the kids," I ask, guilty for getting in the way of his much needed sleep. He shrugs and sighs, before opening one eye. "I don't know ask Dylan or Sebastian." His eyes closes and I sigh and tap Sebastian's knee. He doesn't reply. Annoyed I shake his knee roughly and he finally looks up, looking equally annoyed as I do. "Yes, Rose?" I gesture around the car and ask, "where are the others?" He looks back down at his phone replying "they'll meet us there." Silence once again fills the car and I begin to fidget. No matter how many times I've been beaten for it, I could never stop fidgeting. My knee bounces up and down and I resist the urge to hum. I don't like the quiet either. It leaves me too much time to think. We both know why you hate the silence. And you're the reason. No, well I'm not the only reason. Shut up. Another reason is because, your guards is torn down. Shut up. And then memories comes back to you. Shut up. Then your reminded of how broken your life was and still is. SHUT UP.
I'm hyperventilating, my head cradled in my hands. I feel hands on me, people are talking to me. Probably the daddies. I need to calm down. But how? Breath, my conscious tells me. Take deep breaths. I listen. Slowly I inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. I feel my breathing slow and I can understand now what they're saying. "Are you okay?" Jared. "Dammit Rosaline why won't you talk to us?" Dylan. "Baby what's wrong?" Sebastian. I can almost laugh at how different they act with me than in public. To others Jard is described as the only straight cold-hearted man to be a fashion designer. But he's not cold hearted. He's sassy and funny and can be mistaken as gay. Everyone sees Dylan as the easygoing, party til you drop person while they see Sebastian as uptight and always about work. Little do you know that they're the exact opposite. Dylan is uptight and has little patience while Sebastian it's party til you drop but, he is kind of easy going. Then there's me. The mystery girl that everyone's talking about. A girl who can't even be in a quiet car for more than 5 seconds without having a breakdown. I need air, I decide. The car stops and I jump out the car breathing in the hot summer air. The daddies quickly clamber out behind me still talking to me this time in frustrated voices. "Ros- I hate quiet cars," I say. "And I can't stay still without anything to do."

I see them open their mouths about to say something but, someone beats them to it. "Ruzzz." I look to see Brian, the twins and a man I don't know walking towards us. "Hi Brian," I exclaim walking up to the twins and taking Brian out his hands. "How's my little man been," I ask cradling him in my arms and tickling him. He laughs and shrieks and I keep on tickling him. He tries to say something and it makes me smile. "I can't hear you?" "Go-" He giggles causing me to laugh. "Good," he shrieks and I stop tickling him and brush his curly locks from his eyes. He looks nothing like his father. I guess he inherited all his mother's traits. I put him on my hip and give the twins a smile. "Hey guys." They give me a small smile and they incline their heads in my direction in greeting. "Hi." A hand is then put in front of me. I look up to see the stranger. My smile turns tight. I don't like strangers. "My name's Justin Burns, your realtor." I reach my hand out and quickly shake his clammy hands. The man isn't attractive. In fact some would call him ugly. His eyes are too small, while his nose is too big. His lips are smaller on the top while bigger on the bottom which may be the only good thing on him. His hair is patchy and weird. He's pudgy, very pudgy and the buttons on his suit look as if they're about to fly off and take someone's eye out. He daddies come up behind me and a hand is placed protectively on my shoulder. I look at the hand to see there's a ruby ring on its pinky finger. Sebastian's.
"I thought we asked for Henry to give us the house tours," Jared says. The guy lets out a nervous chuckle. "Well you see Henry's wife was in labor and Jason the back-up man can't make it for personal reasons." I can feel the displeasure roll of them in waves and Mr. Burns cringes back, although I don't blame him. I would've done the same thing. He then points to the house and stammers out, "the first house I'm here to show you is a Victorian type house. It has 6 bedrooms, of one them a master's bedroom,3 bathrooms, a gaming room..." I tune him out and look up at the house. It's main colors are blue and white. The first floor is full on blue while the second floor and the attic is white but, has blue outlines along with a blue roof. The entrance is a beautiful arch way with a hanging vase of roses. There are a lot a windows and in the front of the house you can see there's only two balconies, located on the attic and the second floor. If you tilt your body to the side you can see the entrance of a greenhouse. I beam. I love gardening. I always did it when I was... younger however when I was with the Barricks I was never allowed to. I grimace. I could never do anything living at the Barricks. Now I live with the daddies and their kids. No. What do you mean no? Just Sebastian's kids. What? Look around idiot. I do and I realize that Brendit, Dylan's kid, isn't here. I get out of Sebastian's hold and walk up to Dylan before, tugging his shirt. He looks down at me with an emotion that I can't decipher. "Yes, pumpkin." "Where's Brendit and why isn't he here," I ask causing him to smile. "He's at home packing for a foreign boarding school academy. He doesn't know English or the American customs so there he will learn with students who are also foreign." I nod. That's right he only speaks German and it would be self-ish to drag him here where he'd most likely feel out of place.

I'm just about to walk back over to Sebastian who's giving me a glare when I feel my dress being pulled. I turn around to see a frowning Dylan. "What am I missing?" Realization dawns and I smile. "Thanks Daddy." I go to my tip-toes and even then I'm only at his stomach. He bends downs and puckers his lips child-ishly expecting a kiss on the lips. Instead I kiss his cheek causing him to frown and I jump away from his grasp as soon as he reaches for me. I giggle and go back to Sebastian ignoring the confused and weird out looks I get from the twin.
"Well aren't you cute." I turn to see Justin smiling creepily at me and I have the urge to hide. "T-Thank you," I stammer out. He gives me another smile and turns around and start again talking about the house as he leads us inside.
