"You said what?" Sapnap asks and I pinch my nose bridge

"I panicked ok?" I defend myself

"God you are so stupid, you are royally stupid"

"Don't you think I realize that"

"That's why she was upset then, I'd be too" Sapnap says "You still don't trust her?"

"I do trust her, yes, I'm just scared she'll-"

"She'll end up being like your ex" Sapnap finishes my sentence for me

"You will end up losing her if you continue being like this though" he tells me

"I know that Sapnap" I tell him once more

"You keep on telling me you know shit but you are acting the other way around" Sapnap begins "Dream I spoke with her yesterday, she's confused"

"You spoke to her about me?" my interest suddenly spiked

"Yes, she doesn't know what you want, and she can't believe you haven't asked her out yet" he confesses

"You really sold her out like that huh?" I laugh

"Yeah, and I'd do it again if it meant that you get into your senses"

"Fine, I'll ask her on a date next week and do it" I say

"Dream, you are acting as if it was a marriage proposal, it's just a relationship, it's ok if things don't work out, that's how life is"

"Still, I want it to be perfect" I say, or maybe I just need some more time to grow some balls and ask her

"I need to look hot today" I say looking at myself in the mirror

"You do" Angel supports me "Show him what he's missing"

"I don't know why I'm so upset though, he technically didn't do anything" I say finishing my eyeliner

"Ok... uhm how do you feel about him?"

"See, it's confusing, sometimes he makes me so mad, but I kinda like that. I feel safe around him, I like his sense of humor, shit even his cockiness is funny. I love how passionate he is about what he does, and even though I don't understand half of what he says since he speaks about coding and shit, I like hearing him talk about it"

Angel and I stay silent for a few seconds

"I think I love him"

"Not the L word" Angel jokes

"Fuck, yes the L word" I put my hands covering my eyes "Is it ok if I am kind of mad at him for what he pulled in Disney?"

"Well, you being in L-word or not, he is being a dick" she says "I say you lowkey flirt with someone else, not too much don't over-cross any boundaries you guys set, but so that he becomes jealous or like realizes he needs to officialize things" she suggests

"That might actually for once not be a bad idea" I say in utter shock

"See" Angel laughs "much better"

After getting ready Angel and I went downstairs and helped finishing setting everything up

"Hey Char long time no see" Vicky suddenly appears from the kitchen

"Hi Vic" I smile, I've missed her "Yeah, I've been over at Clay's a lot recently"

"The blond one who fought the other dude outside our house" she laughs

"Yeah that one"

"Good thing you two are still together" she truthfully says

"Yeah kinda" I say

"Kinda?"

"Long story" I'm tired of speaking about this over and over again

"Tough... don't worry though, tonight, we party" she says putting a red solo cup on my hands

"Guess so"

Soon enough people started to arrive, the sorority slowly getting packed with people.

"Come on Angel do a shot" I encourage her, I'm already on my fourth one "Don't be lame"

"Fine, but only because Nick doesn't seem to be even here yet and I'm bored" she says, grabbing the shot glass and downing it "Horny bored"

"They say they were coming" I tell her "Well, Nick told me that"

I haven't spoken to Clay much since Disney, I kind of left early the morning after and haven't texted him much

"Char?" I hear some guy say, when I turn around I see my brother's friend

"Oh hi Troy" I smile at him "Did Jake come?" I ask

"Yeah he's right over there, come with us" he says, grabbing my hand

"Hi Jake" I say hugging my brother

"Hi Charlie I missed you"

"I did too" I pout "We need to go get lunch one of these days" I tell him

"Yeah, let's set the date when you are not drunk though" he laughs

"Hey I'm not that drunk" I complain

"Yet"

I stay with my brother and his friends, I like them. Before I met Clay and my partying went down to almost non-existent, I'd go out with them.

Suddenly I notice three people walking towards us, a certain blond green-eyed boy catches my eye

The idea of him not liking me gets in my head again. What if he didn't ask for me to be his girlfriend because he got bored of me?

"Are you ok?" Troy says noticing my change in mood, putting an arm around my shoulders

"Yeah I guess so" I lie but I can't tell he doesn't buy it.

When Clay, Nick and Angel reach our little group I can see Clay's face more clearly, he looks pissed

"Hi guys" Angel cheerfully says

"Who are these people" my brother protectively says to my surprise. He has seen Clay before, I guess he just maybe forgot about him though

"Uh they are my friends, Clay and Nick" I say with Troy's hand still on my shoulder

"Friends?" Clay says

He has to be kidding me. He now questions our status when yesterday failed to ask me out? Great

I look at him, and then at Nick who gives me a warning look not to say anything stupid. But I just can't help it

"Yeah, aren't we just friends Clay" I challenge him. I notice Angel pinching her nose bridge

"Al-fucking-right then, bestie" he angrily says

"Oookay everyone why don't we go and play a game" Angel suggests trying to lighten the mood

"Truth or dare?" one of my brother's friends suggest

"No that's lame, let's play never have I ever, so at least some of us get shit-faced" Another one says and we all agree

We move towards a couch in our living room, and I sit besides Troy, opposite to Clay.

Some other people join, but one girl catches my eye. She clearly picked up interest on Clay and was all over him, and he was paying her attention.

My drunkness and emotions are definitely going to get the best of me if this continues any longer.

I notice Clay turns to look at me a few times trying to check if I was looking at him, which I was by the way.

Suddenly my phone goes off

yes nick i ssaw hum grabbing her waist

he is being so stupid rn

if he does anything else ill beat him up for you

I smile at his message, at least I'm not imagining things now.

"So let's start" Angel says "Never have ever, had sex"

Everyone in the circke drinks

"That one is easy Angie" Jake smirks at her

Ew Jake

"Never have I ever, went skinny dipping" Angel says looking at me

Three or four people drink for that one, including me.

"Fuck you Angel it was a bet" I laugh

A few more rounds go by and now it's my turn. I am definitely more drunk than when I first sat down, so my filter is at -25 right now.

As I'm about to speak I see Clay clinging onto that girl's waist. Fuck him.

"Never have I ever decided to spend the rest of my existence as a low-life who plays video games non-stop, so much that I barely have a social life left" I look at Clay, his face shots up at mine, looking at me even more pissed than before, and he takes a long sip

"Charlotte-" Nick warns me

"Ok, my turn now, never have I been with two guys from the same friend group" Clay interrupts Nick

"Never have I ever stole my friends girl" I shot back at him

"Never have I ever gave in after a fight just to have sex"

Everyone around us has turned silent, intensely looking at Clay and I's banter

"Never have I ever got cheated on with a close friend of mine" I say "Oh and never let that whore go, dragging all of my fucking emotional baggage onto a random girl"

I notice Sapnap putting both of his hands on his face and Angel looking at me with horror.

But nothing would prepare me for what Clay was about to say.

"Oh really? Fine, never have I fucking ever been such a slut to the point I almost got assaulted by a random guy in a bathroom"

As soon as that sentence slipped out of his mouth, my heart dropped. No one knew that, Clay's the only one who knows, he was there.

I think he realized what he just said since his hands flew to his mouth, a look of worry washing over him

"What did he just fucking say" Jake stands up "Charlotte?"

My eyes start filling up with tears, my vision getting blurry.

Everything starts going in slow motion, I notice Angel walking towards me and Nick getting in front of Clay

"No come on, repeat that one more fucking time" my brother says getting closer to Clay

"No man wait" Nick defends him "He's high too he isn't on his right senses" Nick lies, Clay doesn't do drugs.

I think that hurts even more, he's dead sober

"Do I look like I care? Move or you're dead" He tells Nick

"Angel go and calm Jake down, I don't want Nick getting hurt" I weakly let out looking at my thighs, and she nods

"We are talking about this later ok?"

When I look up I see Clay looking at me, not caring enough to notice my brother who's about to kill him.

"Charlotte" he defeatedly says

But what he said earlier rings through my head again

"such a slut to the point I almost got assaulted by a random guy in a bathroom"

"I can't do this" I say getting up from the couch

"Char" Troy says following me

We get to a secluded hallway where I just put my back against a wall and cry.

"Char?" Troy says finally catching up to me "You can tell me what happened if you want"

"I feel so stupid, I thought I could trust him" I sob

"Hey hey, don't beat yourself up for that. Clearly what he said was wrong, just, come here" he soothes me by hugging him.

His hug isn't the same as his. I hate him, I hate him so much I don't want to miss him after he used a traumatic experience of mine to hurt me, he outed that in front of everyone.

I hate that I still love him.

I need to get him off my mind.

I pull away from the hug and lean in on Troy, slowly kissing him.

I suddenly hear his voice "Char?"

I pull away from my brother's friend to see Clay looking at us.

Fuck.
