Chapter 8: The winter solstice part 2- avatar roku.

Suki: my guess is that we are going to meet avatar roku

Aang: u got that right.

_

Aang:"Let's go, Appa! Come on, boy."

Appa growls

"Look, I'm sorry, but Katara and Sokka aren't coming to the Fire Nation with us."

Suki: what why?!

"If they got hurt, I'd never forgive myself. So get your big butt off the ground and let's go!"

Aang had a sad face.

Suki: oh aang.....

"Uhh...Aah!"

Anag falls to the ground

Sokka:" I think his big butt is trying to tell you something."

Katara:"Please don't go, Aang. The world can't afford to lose you to the Fire Nation. Neither can I."

Katara had a worried sad face.

Katara had a slight small blush on her face and so did aang.

Aang looked guilty and sad. Then a vision of sozin's comet appears

Aang:"But I have to talk to Avatar Roku to find out what my vision means. I need to get to the fire temple before the sun sets on the solstice. That's today!"

He airbends himself on appa's head. Appa moves forward but katara and sokka go in front.

Katara:"We're not letting you go into the Fire Nation, Aang.:

Sokka:"At least not without your friends.We got your back."

Momo goes on aangs arm and then appa licks sokka.

"Ew!"

The guy:"It's a long journey to the crescent island. You'll have to fly fast to have any chance of making it before sundown. Good luck." he said while giving materials to aang.

Aang:Thank you for your...

The guy:"Go!"

Appa flies off

The guy comes out of his house then

Zuko: Having trouble sleeping?

He pushes the guy

Suki: that was unnecessary

Zuko: yea i guess

Zuko:Seen the Avatar lately?

We see the sun rising

Aang:Come on, boy. We've got a long way to go. Faster!

Appa goes faster then we see zuko's ship also going really fast

iroh:"Sailing into Fire Nation waters. Of all the foolish things you've done in your 16 years, Prince Zuko,this is the most foolish."

zuko:I have no choice, uncle.

iroh:Have you completely forgotten that the Fire Lord banished you? What if you're caught?

Zuko:I'm chasing the Avatar. My father will understand why I'm returning home.

Zuko: yea i did

Iroh:My brother is not the understanding type.

Aang:that's for sure

Zuko: yup.

Zuko looks at the telescope then spots appa.

Zuko:There they are. Helmsman, full steam ahead.

Katara sees zuko's ship

katara:Aang, we got trouble.

sokka:Yeah, and it's gaining fast!

Then we see the catapult

Iroh:Really, Prince Zuko, couldn't you shoot them down with something more fragrant?

He says while fanning out the smell

Zuko lights it on fire

Zuko:On my mark. Fire!

Then it fires towards them

katara:Fire ball!

aang:I'm on it!

The fireball comes towards them but they dodge it

Katara:We have to get out of Zuko's range before he shoots another hotsticker at us! She says while making a disgusted face because of the smell and so was aang and sokka.

Sokka: those smell horrible. 🤢

Katara: yea the smell stuck to our clothes for days.

_

sokka:Can't you make Appa go any faster?

Aang:Yeah, but there's just one little problem.

Zuko's eyes go wider

zuko:A blockade.

Iroh:Technically, you are still in Earth Kingdom waters. Turn back now, and they cannot arrest you.

Aang:If we fly north, we can go around the Fire Nation ships and avoid the blockade. It's the only way.

Katara: There's no time!

Suki:but if u go though u could get shot down.😬

Aang:This is exactly why I didn't want you to come. It's too dangerous.

Katara:And that's exactly why we're here.

sokka:Let's run this blockade.

Sokka: yea LETS go!

_

Aang:Appa, yip yip!

Appa goes faster

Zuko:He's not turning around.

Please, Prince Zuko.

If the Fire Nation captures you,

Iroh:There is nothing I can do. Do not follow the Avatar.

Zuko:I'm sorry, uncle. Run the blockade!

Zhao: The Avatar... And the banished prince. Zhao sees through his telescope.

Zhao:This must be my lucky day.

Maybe the captain:Commander Zhao, what are your orders?

Zhao:Shoot the bison down, captain.

Maybe the captain:But there's a fire navy ship out there, sir... One of our own.What if it's hit?

The soldiers ignite with their fire bending.

Zhao:Launch!

Lots of fireballs are launched

Team avatar v1:Aah! Aah! Aah!

Appa dodges all the fireballs but some of his fur is on fire but momo katara and sokka puts it out.

Aang:Appa, are you OK?

Appa grunts as a yes

It goes down and most of it misses zuko's ship and one of them hit near the ship and makes a wave that goes on board then one of the fireballs hits the back.

crew:Prince Zuko, the engines are damaged! We need to stop and make repairs!

Zuko:Do not stop this ship.

Zhao:Launch!

They launch more fireballs

Team avatar v1:Aah! Aah! Aah!

Appa dodges most of them and one of them collided with another fireball and it exploded in front of them and blew of sokka.

aang:Sokka!

_

Suki: oh no.

_

Aang leads appa straight down to where sokka is Katara grabs sokka and brings them down back to appa.

As the fireballs come down appa dodges them all

Zhao:Ready. Fire!

We see aang eyes get serious and then he airbend kicks the fireball.

_

Toph: nice one twinkle toes u stood ur ground.

Aang: thanks.😁

_

Aang almost falls but the wind sends him back to appa and katara and sokka sorta catch him.

Aang:We made it!

Sokka:We got into the Fire Nation. Great.

Katara and Sokka had worried scared face

Maybe the captain:Where do you think the Avatar is headed, sir?

Zhao:I'm not sure, but I bet a certain banished prince will know.

Iroh:We're on a collision course!

Zuko:We can make it.

Suki: u sure...

_

Maybe the captain:The boarding party is ready to apprehend Prince Zuko, sir.

Zhao:Wait. Cut the engines and let them pass.

Maybe the captain:Sir?

Zhao and zuko make eye contact as they pass through and iroh had a suspicious look towards zhao.

Back to appa and the team avatar v1 they were just flying and it became almost sunset

Aang:There it is... The island where Roku's dragon took me. You did it, buddy. Nice flying.

While appa looks really tired

Katara:Oh, you must be tired.

sokka:No, I'm good. Refreshed and ready to fight some firebenders.

He says while stretching

Katara:I was talking to Appa.

Sokka:Well, I was talking to Momo.

Sokka: I don't see any guards.

Katara: The Fire Nation must have abandoned the temple when Avatar Roku died.

Aang:It's almost sundown. We'd better hurry.

sokka:Wait. I think I heard something.

As they sneak around

sages:We are the fire sages, guardians of the temple of the Avatar.

aang:Great. I am the Avatar.

Sages:We know. He firebends at them

Aang gets in front of katara and sokka.

Aang:Follow me! He says while running

sokka:Do you know where you're going?

Aang:Nope. He says while running in a corner.

Aang:Wrong way!

Katara and sokka just stand there then run when they see the fire sage.

Shyu: Come back!

They run into a dead end.

shyu:I don't want to fight you. I am a friend.

sokka:Firebenders aren't our friends.

shyu:I know why you're here, Avatar.

aang:You do?

shyu:Yes. You wish to speak to Avatar Roku.I can take you to him.

Aang:How?

Shyu firebends into the hole wall thing.

Suki:wow that's pretty cool

shyu:This way.

Toph: u sure u can trust him.

Aang: yea i mean we are still here aren't we.

Toph: hmm good point.

Fire sage: Find him!

Shyu:Time is running out! Quickly!

They walk in

Zuko:What's he up to, uncle? Why didn't Commander Zhao arrest me?

Iroh: Because he wants to follow you. He knows you'll lead him to the prize you're both after... The Avatar.

Suki: that makes sense.

_

zuko:If Zhao wants to follow our trail of smoke, then that's exactly what I'll let him do.

Shyu: Avatar Roku once called this temple his home. He formed these secret passages out of the magma.

Toph: so he lavabends

Sokka: that's a thing?!

Toph: yea its pretty cool actually but i do know how to do that. Yet maybe.

(sadly toph never learned how to.)

Aang: Did you know Avatar Roku?

shyu:No, but my grandfather knew him. Many generations of fire sages guarded this temple long before me. We all have a strong spiritual connection to this place.

aang:Is that how you knew I was coming?

shyu:A few weeks ago, an amazing thing occurred. The statue of Avatar Roku...Its eyes began to glow.

Suki:like in the air temple.

Katara: That's when we were at the air temple.

_

Suki: called it

_

katara:Avatar Roku's eyes were glowing there, too.

shyu:At that moment, we knew you had returned to the world.

Aang: If this is the Avatar's temple, why did the sages attack me?

She says while aang tries to push it.

Toph: twinkle toes don't think that will work. At all.

Zuko: no kidding

katara:like you opened that other door?

Shyu: No. Only a fully realized Avatar is powerful

Anag had a sad-ish face

Shyu: enough to open this door alone. Otherwise, the sages must open the doors together with five simultaneous fire blasts.

Suki: well that's quite the problem

Toph: sure is.

_

sokka:Five fire blasts, huh?

Sokka:I think I can help you out.

Zuko: Uncle, keep heading north. Zhao will follow the smoke trail while I use it as a cover.

Suki:that might trick him.

Zuko: yeaaaa....

Iroh:Hmmm.

Zuko leaves on time boat then we see Zhao looking through the telescope

Sokka:This is a little trick I picked up from my father. I seal the lamp oil inside an animal skin casing. Shyu lights the oil-soaked twine, and ta da! Fake firebending.

_

Zuko: hmmm not bad. Not bad.

_

Katara:You're really outdone yourself this time, Sokka.

_

Sokka: why thank you.

They all chuckled at sokka because they did not expect him to respond.
