"What's iCarly?" Zuko asked.
"I am Aang. The Last Airbender. For so long I ran away from my destiny, I just wanted to be a normal kid. But now, I have accepted my role as the Avatar. Everyone is counting on me to save the world, and I won't let them down."
Aang was struck by how different his voice was. So was the rest of the group. "Sounds like Twinkltoes finally hit puberty! Took you long enough." Toph sniggered as Aang pouted at her.
"Can you replay that Sokka? That went by too quick." Sokka obliged to Katara's request.

"Wow. I like my voice." Aang smiled. "How old are you in this? You're like twelve, thirteen. now so I bet this is like fourteen or fifteen." Aang nodded. "I guess. It's weird to hear myself to how others hear me." Katara liked how sure of himself and confident he sounded in that clip.
"Look, there's another clip of your voice."
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
"The first one sounds exactly like you." Katara pointed out. "I think that is me. Woah. That's so weird to hear my voice come out of someone else's mouth."
"The second one is too high-pitched, even for you Aang," Sokka smirked.
"And I have no idea what's happening in the third one." Suki made a face. "Me neither." Katara agreed.
"Wait, listen to the last one." Aang leaned in closer. "I think that's me but in my, like, thirties or forties." Katara raised an eyebrow. "He does sort of sound like you..."

"Aww man, why is his voice so deep??" Sokka complained. "Uh, I think that's because he's an adult in this and you're barely sixteen." Katara deadpanned. Aang chuckled, "Plus he already has a deeper voice than you." Zuko added.
Sokka made a face, "Hey! How can baby Aang have a deeper voice than me already!? He's twelve!" Katara rolled her eyes, "He has a deeper voice than you cuz he doesn't scream every time he talks." Toph picked her ear, "Yeah Snoozles, you scream so much with your high-pitched ass voice that I can hear the ringing of your voice after hours." Sokka frowned. "What is this? Pick on Sokka day?"
"Yep." They replied in unison.

Vast Asleep
The story of Kingard the Binder in the aftermath of Broken This short story is the epilogue of Broken, the second book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. It’s a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers but is set apart from the full-length narrative. Vast Asleep follows the story of Kingard, who finds himself caught in a world called Mother's realm, bathed in glowing light but strangely stuck in place. He encounters his greatson Varyan there, and learns that his experiences are likely dreams. As he grows more accustomed to the loving realm around him, Kingard remembers fear and trepidation about the face of the world, and he loses contact with his companion. This story answers the question, Is Kingard really dead? with a tentative no, and new mysteries brewing. It also raises the question, What's happening while he's awake? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Ride Awake, about Kingard's situation with the Colkh'rak. Praise for Tales of the Known World Bookends: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between the epilogue and prologue is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well. -- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★
