《A New Life to Live (PJO FF)》Don't Go Breaking Hearts

They were in the throne room for the Greek gods. Nico and Percy were side by side, holding hands as they looked at the gods.
"So, you are really leaving?" Zeus asked.
"Yup. We've got some.. things we have to take care of." Zeus raises an eyebrow. "But I'm stealing something on my way out." Percy says with a grin.
"You will not be stealing anything, Perseus."
Percy's grin just grew. "Oh, but I will. Because I'm not leaving here without this very special package." Nico glared at Percy but he didn't falter.
"Can you at least tell us this package you speak of?"
Nico makes a low growl that only Percy hears. "Oh, yes of course."
Zeus lets out a sigh.
"I will be stealing Nico di Angelo and no one is going to stop me."
Hades' head snaps up and looks at Nico as if asking if it's true. Nico slowly nods at him and Hades shoots from his throne. He pulls Nico into a hug and Nico's eyes widen. After a few seconds he hugs the god of the underworld back.
"You really want to go?"
"Yeah, I do."
Hades nods. "You'll visit though right?" Nico looks at Percy, silently asking if it's allowed. Percy nods his head with a smile.
"Yeah. I'll come visit."
"I'll miss you, Nico."
"I'll miss you too...Dad." Nico holds his father tighter.
When they finally let go, Hades gives his son a small smile before walking back to his throne. Everyone stares in shock but quickly recovers when Hades glares at them.
"Alright. So the package is Nico?"
Nico growls again but Percy squeezes his hand and smiles at him.
"Yup. A package that is going to stay forever with me and shall never leave."
Nico's face goes red and he looks away, a small smile on his face.
"Uh, Dad? Or Poseidon? Or—uh, I don't actually know what to call you anymore after...everything but, um, I'm sorry I left without saying goodbye last time but hopefully this makes up for it." Percy says, his left hand playing with the hem of his shirt.
"Percy." He looks up. "It's fine. I understand." Percy smiles and Nico lets go of his hand so Percy can go and run up to him. He jumps into his arms.
"Goodbye. My other Dad." Poseidon smiles and hugs Percy. While they are there, the rest of the warriors go to their parents and talk with them, saying their goodbyes.

It's finally time for the warriors to leave Earth and Percy opens a portal. Before they step through the portal Percy looks back.
"I'll tell my brothers and sisters you said hi."
"They aren't going to try to kill us again.. are they?" Apollo asks.
"Nope. I've got my older siblings under control. As long as they actually are willing to go through the necessary things everything should be fine." He starts mumbling. He looks back up. "They'll be happy we left on good terms." Percy smiled and the gods visibly relaxed.
"Goodbye, Warriors of Chaos, may be meet again, under better circumstances."
"Bye peeps." Percy gives them a peace sign symbol with his hands and steps into the portal after the rest of the warriors.
"I hate that portal." Bianca grumbles.
"I think I'm gonna be sick." Eli says running to a bush.
Disgusting. Percy thought to Eli.
Shut the hell up. Your face is disgusting.
Why thank you. I feel so happy.
Eli gives Percy a weird look and shakes his head.
Nico looks around, amazed at the sight of Origo.
"This is where you lived for the past four years?"
"240 years, remember. But yeah. This is my home." Percy then looks at Nico and grabs his hand. "Our home." Nico looks at Percy and smiles widely.
"Can we go now? Please? I have someone I need to see." Eli says, literally jumping up and down on his toes.
"Yep, lets go." Percy starts walking and Nico follows closely behind, examining all the details of the planet. "Nico, you're gonna have to get your new powers later but you can rest first. And I won't lie to you like Chaos will. It hurts."
"How bad?"
"Oh. I am the wrong person to ask that. I had a whole bunch of extra stuff including my wings." Percy's wings show up behind his back and Nico stares wide-eyed at them. "These hurt when I got them. I also got all the powers I lost returned to me. Hurt like hell, Nico."
"I bet."
"The others can tell you though." Nico nods and they continue walking.
Suddenly Percy bolts off and appears behind Eli right before he fell.
"Eli, you okay? What's wrong?"
"Fine, I'm fine. Just got a little dizzy. I'm okay now." Eli assured Percy.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, Perce, I'm good." Eli stands on his own and takes a few steps. "See? All better."
Percy still looks a little wary but nods his head anyway.

They continue walking when someone runs up to Percy. "Somah?"
"Yeah, it's me. Chaos sent me. Said that there was some kind of surprise. Do you know what it is?" Percy grinned.
"I know exactly what it is."
Somah raises an eyebrow. "Can I talk to Eli?"
"Don't ask me. Ask him." Percy steps to the side to reveal Eli. He stares at Somah with wide eyes.
"Somah." He looks between Percy and Eli before his eyes flash with realization.
"Eli?" Eli smiles and nods slowly. Somah jumps towards him giving him a hug. "I was not expecting this to be the surprise." Eli hugs Somah tightly, glad to finally see him in his own body. They pull apart only for Somah to press his lips against Eli's.
Percy's eyes widen before he covers Nico's eyes.
"Get your hand off my face."
"Children shouldn't watch this."
"I'm not a child." Nico says pushing Percy's hand away. Percy's eyes light up.
"Sure you aren't. You're only seventeen. A child."
Nico opens his mouth but quickly shuts it when Percy yells at Eli.
"Dude! You've got a room for a reason! Go there!" Percy makes a portal and they step through it. Percy shakes his head and grabs Nico's hand. "You should be glad you were facing me. I think I've got to put soap in my eyes."
Nico rolls his eyes. "Whatever."
"I'm serious, Nico!" Percy whined. "I've been scarred!"
"Oh, shush you big baby." Percy pouts.
"I'm not a baby." He grumbles. They walk around the huge building.
"Could've fooled me."
"But guess what?" Percy whispered in his ear. "I'm yours." And Percy straightened up and walked away, leaving a stunned Nico.
"Shit." Nico said and followed Percy. Nico ran and jumped on his back. "And I'm yours." Nico whispered in Percy's ear. Percy smiles.
"You are mine and I am yours."
"Yup." Nico puts his chin on top of Percy's head as he walked through a room filled with people. Nico jumps off Percy's back and grabs his hand instead. Percy leads him to the center where Chaos awaits. Percy gives Nico's hand a reassuring squeeze before letting go and standing next to his father.
"Hello, Nico. Are you ready?" Chaos asked the son of Hades.
"Hello, Chaos. I'm ready."
Chaos smiled. "This will only hurt a bit." Percy mumbled under his breath. "Understatement."
Chaos rolled his eyes before looking at Nico.
"Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, you shall be the leader of section seven. Do you accept this and blah, blah, blah?"
"I accept."
"Good." Chaos lifted his hand and a black, glowing ball formed in his hand. He threw it at Nico and he felt a lot of pain. He looked at Percy to see him staring at him intently. The pain started to subside and Nico stood up straight.
"You alright, Nico?"
"Just peachy." Nico grinned painfully.
"Now, Nico I have one other thing to say to you." Nico looked at Percy, who looked confused, then looked to Chaos.
"You better not break my sons heart." Nico smiled.
"I wasn't planning on it."
Chaos smiled and Percy jumped on Nico.
"Come on, Nico lets go!" Percy grabbed his hand and started running through the halls. He was smiling happily and Nico turned to see the other Chaos warriors smiling at Percy. Nico looked back at Percy and understood why.
This is the happiest he has ever seen Percy, and that made him smile widely.
Percy dragged Nico through the halls of the building until they reach a set of stairs. Percy swung Nico on his back, causing Nico to yelp in surprise. Percy ran up the staircases until they reached the top. Percy opened the doors and it opened to reveal the roof of the building. Percy ran forward until he stopped abruptly.
"Do you trust me, Nico?" Nico tilted his head to the side.
"Of course I trust you, Percy. Why?"
"Just uh, don't get too scared. If you want to go down I'll let you, okay."
Nico was confused. "Okay."
Percy told Nico to jump off his back and stand in front of him. Standing in the same direction. Nico did what he asked and Percy put his arms around Nico, hugging him from behind.
"Okay I need you to step forward Nico."
"Um, okay." Nico was so confused but still did what Percy asked.
"Okay this may be weird but I need you to stand on the railing."
Nico's eyes widened. "Wait, what?"
"Don't worry I'll go up too."
Nico slowly put a foot on the railing and Percy did the same, pulling himself and Nico up with him, still holding him from behind him.
Nico looked down and saw how far up they were.
"Percy, what are we doing?"
"You trust me, right Nico?"
"Yes, of course Percy. But what are we doing."
"It'll be fine I promise. Just remember what I told you. I'll let you down if you want. Just wait a little longer okay?"
Nico nodded and Percy held Nico closer to his chest. Percy took a deep breath.
Then they fell.

The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
