《Location; Aizawa x Reader》Chapter 48

You had accepted the job Nezu offered you and moved into the staff apartments at U.A. You and Aizawa had pretty much started back at square one in your relationship after everything had happened. It was a little odd being his next-door neighbor, but you had gotten used to it. You had multiple discussions about your boundaries and what you both wanted from your relationship. You had told him you wanted better communication and that he needed to prioritize the kids. He agreed wholeheartedly and had expressed his need for your support with the kids. You two would have dinner with all of class 1-A every Sunday. Aizawa would cook, and you'd all eat together.
"What are you doing Friday?" He asks softly as you both stood in the teacher's lounge.
"Nothing, why?" You raise an eyebrow.
"I'd like to take you to dinner," he smiles a little. The two of you hadn't gone on a date since you got back together. You didn't have time. The new semester was starting, and with moving in, things were too busy.
"That sounds good," you smile.
He picked you up at 7 o'clock sharp, knocking on your door. You opened it and smiled. He had on black slacks, a black button-down shirt, and black shiny shoes. His hair was tied back in a bun, with small strands of hair coming out of it surrounding his face. He was holding a bouquet of long stem roses in his hands. He stared at you and smiled.
"Hi, you look beautiful," he smiles. You had on a dark purple dress and black heels.
"Thank you," you smile a little. He hands you the roses, and you take them happily. You set them on the table, grab your purse and walk out. You both get downstairs, and he opens the car door for you.

"Thank you," you smile a little. You get in, and he closes it behind you. He walks around and gets in, starting the car and pulling out of the lot.
"So, how was work?" He smiles.
"Not bad...this grumpy asshole I work with kept smiling at me," you smirk.
"What a dick," he sighs as he smiles at you.
He pulls up to a beautiful restaurant and parks. He gets out and opens the car door for you. You hold his hand as you walk inside. The lighting is low, and there is soft music playing. You two are quickly taken to a table, and Aizawa pulls your chair out for you. You sit down, and he smiles, quickly kissing your cheek before taking his seat.
"So...what's going on?" You tilt your head.
"What do you mean?" He asks.
"You were smiling at me all day, your grip on the steering wheel made your knuckles white, and you look like you are going to explode," you giggle. He sighs.
"Nothing gets past you huh," he chuckles. "Alright...I won't lie...I was nervous for tonight," he sighs.
"I was too...we haven't spent any real alone time besides our talk," you sigh.
"Yeah, and that won't be the only one," he says.
"What do you mean?" You ask softly.
"Communication and boundaries in a relationship aren't just a one-time discussion. It takes time and multiple conversations. It's a talk we will always have to have to keep our relationship healthy and happy," he smiles. You stare at him, shocked.
"I mean...yeah...what the hell, Shota..." you say softly.
"What?" He looks at you, confused.

"Where the hell did this come from?" You ask.
"Oh...umm...I've been seeing Hound Dog for counseling," he mumbles.
"You what?" You say, your heart thumping in your chest. He grabs your hand.
"Look, when I said I wanted to fix this, I meant it. I'm fucked up, and I needed to fix it. So I've been seeing him for counseling for about a month now," he says softly. "I told you the first time I'd work on it, and then I fucked up again...I made you a promise that I broke. So...I needed to change my approach on how I fixed the situation to ensure it didn't happen again," he says, squeezing your hand.
"Shota...that's wonderful! I'm so proud of you," you smile.
He smiles a little. "Thanks...he is scary as hell, but he gets the point across," he shrugs.
"Shota, I mean it. I'm so proud of you for wanting to get help and talking to someone," you say sweetly.
"Well, I love you...and I'm not making another mistake that is going to hurt you again," he says, determined.
You two enjoy your dinner, laughing and talking, just like you used to. He drives you both back to campus, and you both walk upstairs to your apartment. You kiss him passionately, and he wraps his arms around you tightly.
"Wanna come inside?" You whisper.
He closes his eyes and sighs. "I don't think I should," he whispers.
"Shota," you say, kissing him again. He pulls away and looks into your eyes.
"Your head is hazy. I know...I miss you too...but you don't trust me like that yet. And I'm not rushing this. Not this time," he says sternly.
Your whole body feels like it's on fire. "Fuck, you have to know what you're doing to me..." you breathe. He looks at you, confused. "Going to counseling...communicating boundaries...it's hot as fuck and now this!?" You say.
He chuckles. "I told you...I'm going to love you the way you deserve to be loved," he smiles and kisses your lips softly. "Goodnight, my love," he smiles.
You sigh. "Good night," you smile.
He lets go of your face, and you walk into your apartment. He turns around and walks into his, and leans against the door. His whole body feels like it's vibrating, and his hands are shaking. 'FUCK!! God, she smelled so good...she's so fucking soft...fuck...fuck...fuck! Why the fuck did I stop her?! NO! Stop it. You are doing what's best for your relationship...Long term...' He digs into his pocket and pulls out a small black box, and opens it staring down at the diamond ring.
'Long term...'

Overseer
From the nothingness I appeared. Bodiless, voiceless, ageless, I have only thoughts and emotions to guide me. My one connection to the world lies in the hearts of a small colony of lizards, just on the cusp of maturing. I reach out to them without hands, inspiring them to be more than what they are, shaping their bodies from visions of lost memories. But where do the memories come from? I am always left with more questions than answers. In my lonely shapeless existence the lizards cannot hear my words, and they cannot feel my touch, and I must wonder, do I even really exist? --- Called emotional, abstract, and beautiful by readers, this story is an observational account of a disembodied entity that has the power to influence and change a race of mildly intelligent lizard creatures. Memories of a previous life often serve as inspiration, but also generate questions as to whom the entity might have been before it became an Overseer. (presented in short chapters) (Thank you readers for getting my story into the top 5 ;u; ~

Shift (Ben 10+DCU Fanfiction)
Omnitrix+ DCU, what's not to like? The main character will not be Ben Tennyson, rather someone from our world who gains the Omnitrix Hello! This fanfiction Shift is what I wanted to do for an homage to what I thought were underrated pieces of media, Ben 10 and some DCU characters. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t add context to two of the major works that inspired Shift, Dial, and A Practical Guide to Evil. Dial is another ben 10 fanfiction, however that story takes place in the MCU, and with an adult that is already a grown-up at the beginning of the story. Dial, by my own accounts, is more superficially Like shift, even though the Omnitrix is a central device in both. My protagonist starts out around 18 years old, so is less serious and can build relationships with some of the junior justice league members, and then later on in the story meet the Justice League officially. The tone will be more light-hearted at the beginning of the story as teenagers are known to use sarcasm and jokes at each other’s expense. Furthermore, in Dial, the protagonist has a well-developed knowledge of the MCU which he uses to have knowledge on events and characters, that the character in Shift will not have. While the MC will have some knowledge of people's abilities, lesser-known characters and people's real identities will be not included as much, but the MC of Shift will have some knowledge. APGTE's influence is deeper than Dials'. The epigraphs at the beginning of every chapter are an example of that, a place for light-hearted jokes and worldbuilding that's not pure exposition, but I also want to incorporate narrative stories to Shift (heroes win more than lose, providence, etc) on a lighthearted scale. While the heroes of Shift will have to work to win against villains, the MC of Shift will be allowed limited precognition, through narratives tropes and archetypes as a trade-off of less knowledge of the DCU. For example, a villain a hero faces might monologue, but the MC will not instinctively know how to counter every villain they encounter. I also wanted to bring in more realism than usual superhero stories, ie: the MC cannot just walk and have a meeting with Batman or Superman, he would have to “work his way up” in terms of credibility and whatnot. The Aliens that show up in Shift I tried to make different than the ones in Dial, just to share the love for lesser-known characters. And to make it fairer for the villains of the DCU, the main character will not wantonly use if gain at all an Alien X or a ben 10 form of Kryptonians, just so the characters have to work a little bit for victory. I urge anyone reading to consider checking out both APGTE and Dial as they are both amazing works, and I hope you enjoy them. The beginning of how the MC enters the DCU will not be as important as him actually existing in that universe, so that is why a ton of time is not spent on that part of the story. Chapters will be around 2.5 thousand words and come out around every weekday.
