《Location; Aizawa x Reader》Chapter 72

Your eyes flutter open, and you sit up slowly, your head feeling better. "Hey...how do you feel?" Aizawa asks, stroking your cheek.
"Better. Is Arlis ok?" You ask softly.
"She's fine. Resting. She lost a lot of blood, but she should be ok," Aizawa sighs.
"Are you ok?" You ask.
"Besides having to watch the woman I love disappear into a hole of death and the fact that Hawks almost killed us flying to that place, I'm great," he grumbles.
"Sorry...I hold her to stop messing with his feather," you mumble. "And I'm sorry I just jumped down the hole...I didn't mean to worry you," you sigh.
"It's ok. You saw your friend go, and you went after her...but... try to wait for me next time," he smirks a little. You nod and hug him tightly. "I know you can't lose her...but I can't lose you," he says softly.
"I know...we are a team, and I didn't consult my teammate before jumping down a hole of death," you smirk.
He chuckles a little and lifts your chin. "Don't do that again..." he whispers before kissing you softly.
"Did you get a look at him?" You ask.
"No. Apparently, his mask is stuck to his face somehow," Aizawa says.
"Oh great," you mumble.
"But... Arlis scratched him with her nails and got a blood sample," he smiles. Your eyes widen. "They are running the DNA test, and we should know who he is soon," he says.
He helps you out of bed and holds your hand as you walk out. Keigo sits in the chair outside of Arlis' door. His head is buried in his hands.

"Keigo?" You ask.
He looks up, his face still a little red. "Hey, are you ok?" He asks, standing up.
"Are you?" You ask.
"Oh...I'm fine," he nods a little.
You chuckle and nod. "I bet you are," you smirk and walk away.
Aizawa looks at Keigo, his eyes glancing to Griffin's room. "Go tell her..." Aizawa says.
Keigo looks back at him. "Tell her what?"
"How you feel. If we learned anything tonight, it's that we can die trying to fight this guy...you don't want to die with any regrets, Keigo," Aizawa says.
"It's not that simple, Shota," Keigo looks down.
"It is. Look, I may not always give the best advice...but you need to tell her..." Aizawa says.
"I can't. There isn't any point. She is leaving once this is fixed. Besides, it's nothing but a stupid crush," Keigo mumbles.
"Right...because making a nest and holding them in the shower is what people with crushes do, right? If I've learned anything from watching those stupid nature cartoons with Eri, it's that Hawks mate for life...and you are more bird-like than you care to admit," Aizawa says before walking away. Keigo looks at the door and feels his fists clench. He walks away, leaving her to rest.
You both get back to U.A., the campus filled with police and security. You walk into your apartment after checking on all of the kids. Your body feels exhausted. You fall onto the bed, and Aizawa chuckles softly. He doesn't say a word as he helps you out of your hero costume, tucking you under the covers. He strips down and crawls in next to you. You nuzzle into his chest and sigh.

"I love you, Shota," you mumble.
"I love you too," he whispers. Finally, you drift asleep, your head filling with the scent of coffee and sandalwood.
Nezu walks into his office, shutting the door. "My apologies for keeping you waiting, Snipe," he says, hopping onto a chair.
"It's no problem, sir. What can I do for you?" He asks.
"It has come to my attention that my daughter's past may be brought to public light. If that happens, I will take the fall for the laboratory being destroyed, so she and Y/N stay out of trouble. If that happens, I will be sent to prison, and she will be alone. So I need you to promise me that you will protect her. Arlis looked at you and Koa as her brothers, and she trusts you," Nezu says.
"Sir..."
"I know this is a lot to ask, Snipe. And I wouldn't ask if I didn't think that Endeavor would use this against them," Nezu sighs.
"I understand, sir. I'll make sure she is protected," Snipe says sternly.
"Thank you. I also want to talk to you about a few of the students," Nezu says.
"Of course. Is everything ok?" He asks.
"Well, yes, except that Shoto Todoroki keeps sneaking out at night to meet his brother Touya. I believe he is training him to use his fire," Nezu says.
"Do you wish for me to stop them?" Snipe asks.
"Actually, I was hoping for you to follow Shoto to make sure he doesn't get hurt. Of course, keep a good distance, so you aren't discovered, but just make sure he makes it there and back safely," Nezu smiles.
"Of course, sir. Is he ok?" Snipe asks.
"I think so. He loves his brother dearly, and I feel like they are bonding well...at least I'm assuming they are since he seems happier and more confident with his fire," Nezu shrugs.
"That's good...do you know why his brother is in the hospital?" Snipe asks.
"No... but I think Arlis knows something she hasn't told anyone," Nezu says softly.
"Why not ask her?" Snipe asks.
"I think she isn't certain of her theory yet... and because asking her would be asking her to relive her own trauma of abuse, and I don't wish to do that to my child. But, if she feels certain of something and can back it up with proof, she will speak up," Nezu says sternly.
"I understand. Anything else I can do for you, sir?" Snipe asks.
"Not that I can think of since murder is illegal," Nezu mumbles.
Snipe chuckles a little and stands up. "Have a good night, sir," Snipe says as he walks to the door.
"How is Mikko?" Nezu asks.
Snipe laughs and turns around. "She is fine. Do you know everything, sir?"
"Of course I do. It's my job," Nezu smiles.
"So you are also aware that Hawks is in love with your daughter?" Snipe snickers.
Nezu's smile drops. "What?" he snaps.
"Yup...head over heels. Funny...I thought it was your job..."

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
