"Come on! Let's go!" Shock shouts as the students run past him. He takes one last look at Arlis and turns away, running after the kids, leaving her behind.
She takes off into the sky, slamming two men onto the ground. She turns around, kicking one man back before tackling another. She shoots more feathers out of her wings, stabbing different villains. She screams as she sprints and tackles another villain, biting his neck. He grabs her hair and throws her off, slamming her onto the ground.
"You weak little bitch... you think you can fucking win?" He laughs.
He reaches to grab her but is quickly kicked across the street, his body slamming into a building. She looks up and sees Mirko panting heavily. Midnight helps her up, and they all stand back to back.
"I don't need back up," Griffin huffs, her eyes scanning the men surrounding them.
"Like hell you don't," Midnight snaps.
"You need to get the kids to safety," Arlis says, her ears twitching.
"We can do that after we get you back to a god damn hospital!" Midnight shouts.
"GET THEM!" A man screams.
The men charge, and Midnight rips her hero costume, causing most of them to pass out. Mirko jumps into the air, kicking and tossing villains away from them as fast as she can. Arlis takes off, flying through the men, cutting them down with her wings. She digs into her pocket and grabs a bright blue pill. She bites down on it and takes off, flying higher and higher. She gets into the clouds and looks down at her claws, dripping black venom. She smiles and takes a deep breath. She takes off, spinning through the air, causing a boom throughout the city.
"Look out!" Mirko tackles Midnight right before Arlis lands, creating a massive hole in the middle of the street, swallowing up every man. Dust clouds the area, making it impossible to see clearly. Midnight scans the area around the hole as the earth sinks into itself. Her eyes widen when she sees purple wings.

"ARLIS!" Midnight screams.
Mirko's eyes widen as she sees Arlis' body rolling further down, about to sink into the earth. Before Mirko can move, Midnight gets up, sprinting to her. "NO, WAIT!" Mirko screams.
Midnight grabs Arlis' arm, yanking her to safety. Midnight's foot slips, and she falls into the hole, sinking into the Earth.
"MIDNIGHT!" Mirko's voice cracks.
Arlis' eyes flutter open, and she gasps, trying to get up to save her friend, her body tired and wounded. A figure jumps out of the hole, covered in dust and dirt. He tosses three blue marbles into the air and snaps his fingers, releasing three figures, all of them covered in dust and blood. He snaps his fingers, and a top hat appears out of thin air.
One man has white hair down to his shoulders and bright red eyes. His skin looks dry and patchy, his hands going up to scratch his neck as if he's annoyed.
The other man has on a black and grey mask, his costume skin-tight showing off his muscles.
The last man is tall with black boots and black pants, his chest bare, with a massive scar down the center. Midnight's eyes flutter open, and she looks up at her savior. Her eyes widen as he gives her a soft smile. "Sorry, it took me so long. I had to make a stop," he whispers.
"Koa?"
You scream again, knocking Malthael back as you walk towards him. "Didn't you want to feel pain!? Come! Let me show you what pain is..." you laugh.
Your eyes roll back, and the earth starts to shake as the cloud of red smoke gets bigger. Malthael waves his hands, pulling cars around him. He breaks down the metal and builds up a barricade. Your eyes widen, and you send more energy out, crushing the metal as if it was nothing but paper. You keep walking, ignoring the pounding in your head. He screams and lifts your body up, pulling you towards him, his hand closing around your throat. You grab his head with both hands and access his memories.

He screams as he relives the death of Eri's mother over and over again.
"How sad you couldn't save her... do you wish to see her again? I can arrange that," you whisper.
"You can't kill me!" He shouts.
You smile, and his face goes pale. "That isn't what I meant..." you whisper.
Your eyes roll back, and you force all of your pain into his head. You pull the memory to the front part of his brain and slowly exhale, the red smoke spilling out of your mouth. Your eyes gloss over, as you begin to focus all of your energy. His eyes widen as the memory becomes real. He can feel his wife's body in his arms, her blood on his clothes. "S-stop..." he whispers as tears spring to his eyes, his hold on you weakening.
"You didn't stop... you've killed so many... tortured thousands. No, you will feel this pain... feel all of it," you smile.
He screams and pushes his hand to your chest, your body propelling back. You close your eyes and brace your body for impact. You hit something, but it isn't hard. Keigo holds your body close as he crashes into the street. He coughs, blood dripping out of his mouth.
Aizawa sprints towards Maltheal, his hair floating up and his eyes bright red, cutting off his quirk. Malthael waves his hand, and Aizawa smirks as nothing happens. He wraps his scarf around Malthael and yanks him forward. Aizawa catches him and slams him onto the ground. "Keep your fucking hands off, my wife," Aizawa snaps.
He yanks the scarf again and tosses him towards the sky, pulling him back into the earth. An arrow hits Aizawa, stabbing him in the shoulder. He drops to one knee, groaning in pain, his scarf releasing Maltheal. Maltheal waves his hand, shoving Aizawa's body into a car, denting it. "Shouta!" You scream.
You hold your hand out, and red smoke bursts out, chasing after Maltheal. He tries to run, but it overtakes him. You look over at Keigo, his eyes fluttering closed. "Keigo, stay with me!" You scream. You look back at Maltheal, and your eyes widen as you see fifty cars floating in the air. Your quirk stops, pain encasing your body. Your head pounds and you feel blood gushing from your nose. Your eyes flutter and Keigo grabs your hand, trying to stabilize you.
"Kid... run," Keigo chokes out, his body too weak to move.
"NO!" Aizawa screams as the cars fly towards you both.
He runs as fast as he can, tackling you. He holds your body close to him, keeping you between him and Keigo. The three of you shut your eyes, your hands clinging to Aizawa, all of you ready for death. You let out a shaky breath, and it feels cold against your hand. You open your eyes and gasp, seeing every car encased in a thick wall of ice. Aizawa and Keigo are unconscious, barely breathing. You sit up and see Shoto, Denki, Bakugou, and Izuku walking towards you.
"No... no, go... get out of here," you choke out, your voice tired and dry.
Shoto stops his foot, incasing your bodies in an ice sled. He waves his hand, creating a track of ice, leading you away from the fight. "Shoto!" You scream. You grab Aizawa's scarf and wrap it around a pole, stopping the sled.
"Mom... we've got this," Denki smiles.
Your eyes widen, and Bakugou blasts the edge of the ice, pushing you off down the track. "NO!" You scream as they disappear from your vision, the sled speeding down the ice track to safety.
Bakugou looks at Denki, Shoto and Izuku. "Ready, nerds?" He asks, smirking.
"Let's do this," Denki smiles.
"Remember what Mr. Aizawa said... if it comes down to it... it's him or us," Shoto says.
"It'll be him... we aren't dying here today and he isn't taking Eri," Izuku snaps.
Bakugou smiles at his friends and cracks his neck. "We can't die... we're fucking gods..."

Orc Lord
A young woman just starting out in life is killed tragically in a car accident. However, she soon regains consciousness as a baby in a fantasy world. But... she's an Orc?! It would be good if she could just enjoy her new life quietly, but she seems destined for war and carnage. How will she fare as a monster in a fantasy world? ________________ This story will have a total of three arcs: Arc 1, The Birth of Babylon: 571 pages (complete) Arc 2, The Baphomet War: 420 pages (complete) Arc 3, The Mad Queen of Carnage: (in progress) ________________ Ultimately, I'm writing this for enjoyment. If you enjoy it too, fantastic! Gore: Extremely infrequent, but moderately intense. Profanity: There are a few swear words here and there, as well as some more creative insults. Traumatizing Content: While I'm at it, there are some questionable morals displayed (mostly after chapter 77). So far we can check off slavery, brainwashing, war, and genocide. This story starts off very Light Novel-ish because I was reading a lot of them at the time. The writing style gradually matures as it goes. Sorry, but I don't have the stamina to go back and fix everything, even if I know it gets pretty roughshod at times. New readers, please keep in mind, I make use of "unreliable narrators" at times. My story accepts donations, but it is free to read and I've only uploaded it here. Lastly, Orc Lord is a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying ending. One of my long breaks triggered a dishonor, but I'll redeem it someday when it's actually finished. I'm the ultimate necromancer author. ;P

But Alex will survive. He will squeeze every last bit of potential from his [System] and work his way up the ladder of the food chain until he is strong enough to step out of his prison. The first step to such a lofty goal is to conquer the menace of goblins. Unlimited Evolution narrates the struggles of a young man from earth who gets the short end of the stick even in a different world. After a betrayal that resulted in his death, he wakes as a monster in a dungeon where even his fellow monsters saw him as nothing but food. The story will be a little slow-paced in the beginning and the battles will be calculated, brutal, and short. The litRPG element will be there and the system plays an important role in world-building. I'll try to explore each and every character I introduce as much as I can. Hopefully, I do a good job in that aspect. **I hope you enjoy this book of mine.**
