You walk out of the office. "You... Why did you speak up?" You ask Killer. He stops and you turn to eachother.
"I should ask you the same thing," He replies. You shift, rubbing your neck.
"I'm sorry about earlier, I usually avoid fights..." You murmur. "You're scary.... Please don't hurt me...." You add when you realize you're alone with him. He pauses and chuckles.
"You sure are strange... We'll call it even for now- ___, was it?" He replies.
"Um... Yeah... Nice to not be your enemy at the moment, er, Killer.." You say, offering a hand for a handshake. He lets out a chuckle and takes your hand, pulling you into him. You stiffen against his firm build.
"You're pretty cute, I hope you survive your extra two months," He rumbles in your ear. You felt your heart skip a beat and he tips your chin. "See you around ___," He adds before walking away. You watch him go.
"___!" Luffy calls, making you look over to see Luffy, Law, Sabo, and Ace fast approaching.
"You okay? That guy didn't hurt you just now? Did he?" Law asks, tossing a glare after Killer.
"No... He, said I was cute," You reply, blushing slightly. He relaxes a bit and smirks.
"That's significantly better," He comments.
"Also.... Looks like you guys are now stuck with me for three months..." You inform them with a slight smile. They smile and Luffy hugs you cheerfully.
"Yosh! Lets party!" Luffy cheers, picking you up and starting for building C.
"Not so fast boy, put her down," A gruff voice makes you look up.
"Dawww Smokey! Are you being over protective?" You giggle to the young officer (He's only a few years older than you). The boys look at you in surprise. The platinum haired guy scowls and lifts you from Luffy's arms, giving the guys a glare.
"Get lost." He growls. There's a slight pause and they back up warily as Smoker sets you down.
"Heh, I'll be there in a bit." You assure them. Luffy gives a pout but nods as the other guys leave. As soon as they're out of sight, Smoker puts you in a head lock. "Ah! Smoker!" You whine.

"Why did you lie!? Why did you get into a fight before I could get you out!?" He demands.
"Oh.... Heh... Sorry but the guy did start the fight!" You try to defend. He releases you and turns you to him.
"You're not hurt are you?" He murmurs.
"Nah, you know have that weird type of luck that swoops in when I'm in trouble, " You assure, patting his shoulder. "Aw! You really were worried about me weren't you?" You tease. He pauses and looks away.
"You tricked me into arresting in place of your friend and then you're sent to a dysfunctional place like this! Of course I'm gonna worry," He grumbles. You smile and hug him again.
"Whatever the reason.... I'm glad you're here..." You murmur. He blinks and hugs you back.
"Good, because I'm not leaving here without you," He says. You giggle and pull back.
"Oh what is the world coming to? A policeman falling in love with an ex-gang member? Unheard of!" You tease, lightly pushing his shoulder. A mad blush comes over his face.
"Wh-what!? I never said-"
"Hehe, see you around Smokey! Oh and my room is C666! Don't be a stranger!" You chime as you walk away.
"H-Hey! I didn't say-"
"I love you too Smokey!" You laugh, waving your hand about dismissively.
"_- Woman!" He groans, putting a hand over his face. You giggle as you go into the building, seeing a familiar face really put you at ease. You start up the stairs and turn the corner, nearly stepping on Zoro who lounged at the bottom of the stairs. He looks up as you swiftly step over him.
"Hey Zoro, Luffy said something about a party," You tell him, giving him a brief smile before starting up the stairs.
"Alright... Careful! The stairs are slip-" He didn't get to finish as you slip a and start to fall back, only to be caught by Zoro. You blink up at him and blush.
"Heh, thanks for the warning but I think it was-"
"A little late," He agrees, picking you up and continuing up the stairs.

"Y-Yeah," You murmur, holding onto his shoulders as he goes up the stairs. "Oh yeah, thanks for protecting me yesterday, my friend told me someone got into my room while I was unconscious," You tell him. He nods, glancing down at you.
"It's no problem, if you ever feel like you're in trouble at all, go into our room... I don't care if we're there or not, hide in our room," He instructs.
"Okay... Thanks." You breathe, giving him a smile. He smiles back and sets you down on the third floor.
"Anytime, it would be a shame if something happened to someone as cool as you," He says as you both start for your rooms.
"Heh, right back at you," You say, nudging him. He chuckles and you both go into your rooms. Law stood at the dresser, thumbing through a book you had brought.
"You cover for a thug friend and you're also friends with a cop... You've really piqued my interests, ___-ya," He comments, setting the book down and turning to you with a smirk. You rub your neck with a sheepish blush.
"Really? I'm interested about you too Law," You admit. The mirror on the wall suddenly moves like an opening door.
"___! The party's over here!" Luffy laughs, leaning in. You let out a surprised squeak and look over to see there was a fairly large hole that the mirror had been concealing. You and Law look at it in surprise/shock.
"Has that been there the whole time?" You ask shakily.
"Yep! This happened when Zoro and I got into a fight!" He chimes. You look to Law with a pout.
"They're insane..." You whisper. Before he can answer, Luffy stretches out an arm and grabs your wrist and pulls you in through the hole.
"I got her!!" Luffy chimes as you roll into the guy's room. Ace laughs from the chair he sat in.
"Hey cutie, about time!" Ace chuckles.
"Luffy, be more careful, you could've hurt ___-chan," Sabo scolds, helping you to your feet as Law comes in behind you.
"Nah, she's surprisingly tough," Law chuckles, pinching your cheek.
"Zoro! Get ___ a drink!" Luffy cheers.
You chuckle to yourself, rubbing your neck as you look around at the past out guys. "Feels like I'm with the gang again..." You muse quietly, picking up Luffy and setting him on his bed. You turn to pick up Zoro and accidentally bump heads with Sabo.
"Ouch..." You both whisper, touching your head and giving eachother a sheepish smile.
"Uh... I'll get his arms," He murmurs. You smile and get Zoro's legs, you both carry him to the bed. Sabo turns to Ace and sighs.
"Something wrong?" You ask as you lift up Law onto your back, his feet drag the floor so you move him up more onto your back, pretty much piggy backing him. Sabo chuckles lightly at the sight.
"Well, Ace's room is in building B on the second floor... And he is such a pain to carry," He explains.
"Then... Put him in my bed, I'm not tired yet anyway," You tell him, trying to open the door with your elbow and failing. He brushes past and opens the door for you. You give him a grateful smile.
"I think I'll do that," He muses, picking up Ace and following you into your room. You lay Law down on his and Sabo puts Ace on yours. "Hey Ace, don't vomit on ___'s bed or I'll kick your ass." Sabo warns the unconscious guy. You giggle at that as you move a small trash can next to Law's bed. Sabo looks over at the sound and you toss him a slight smile as you remove Law's shoes and cover him up.
"You're a nice brother," You comment, turning for the door. He walks out with you.
"I try to be... Care for a tour of the school?" He offers.
"That sounds great," You murmur.

In the midst of the the apocalypse, college student Oscar McAllister finds himself out of a job and out of luck. As he fights however, he is forced to face not just the evil that lurks in the shadows: but the indifference that lurks in people’s hearts. The world is playing a waiting game with human lives, and Oscar is caught right in the middle of it. Note: This is a dark LitRPG story, with dungeons, levelling, and quests in a contemporary setting. Permanight is currently on hiatus while I prepare a rewrite based on the current feedback I've recieved.
