You let out a yawn, cheek resting on the back of Smoker's shoulder as you rode on the back of his motorcycle. "Smokey, where are we going?" You ask, peering at his face.

"You'll see, you have a surprise waiting for you," He says.

"Surprise?" You echo curiously. He nods with a smirk. You shift pressing against his back with a slight shiver from the cool mountain wind. He feels that and pulls over. "What's up?" You ask. He pats the seat in front of him.

"Come on," He tells you. You blush a bit and move to sit in front of him. He shrugs off his jacket and puts it on you, zipping it up.

"Smokey, I can do that myself," You object. He chuckles.

"I know, but..." He trails off, smirking at you thoughtfully.

"What?" You ask, lifting an eyebrow.

"I want to take care of you sometimes," He answers. You blush and duck your head.

"Geez Smokey..." You mutter. He chuckles and rides on again with you tucked against his chest. He has always been like that. Randomly showing up at your place, asking you out to dinner, or just popping up to check on you. Always looking out for you. You fall asleep, nuzzling his chest. He smiles a bit glancing down at you.

"Sleep well ___.."

You wake up and blink in confusion. What a lovely room. Where were you? You get out of bed and shuffle to the window. You had a clear view of your old neighborhood. You look around and go out the room, finding Smoker asleep on the couch, you look around in amazement. This place was amazing. You go over and crouch next to him.

"Smokey," You whisper. His brown eyes crack open and he meets your gaze. He smiles a bit.

"Morning beautiful," He murmurs. You duck your head with a blush.

"Morning Smoker," You breathe with a smile. "Um, where are we?" You ask. He sits up and stretches.

"Your apartment of course," He says with a smirk.

"Eh?" You gasp. He nods.

"Gin and I put some money together for it," He tells you. You stare at him in shock and stand, looking around.

"My... Apartment?" You echoed in awe. He stands, smiling a bit.

"Yeah... You like it?" He asks. You grin and run through the apartment, looking at everything before running back and tackle hugging Smoker.

"I love it!!" You cheer, putting a big kiss on his cheek. He chuckles with a blush. "Thank you! But... You really didn't have to," You tell him, pulling back. He shrugs.

"Like I said, I want to take care of you sometimes," He says tipping your chin.

"Smokey...." You murmur, blushing again. He smiles and kisses your forehead. "You love me~" You tease.

"I do," He rumbles. Your eyes widen, breath caught, a heavy blush covering your face.

"What?" You breathe in shock.

"What's this? Always teasing me about it and now that I've admitted it you shut down? I feel like I should tease you now," He muses.

"That school is getting to you Smokey, you're going mad," You comment, turning away.

"The only one capable of driving me mad is you," He shoots back. Before you can respond, the door opens and Gin carries in breakfast and coffee. He blinks at you as he sets them down on the table.

"You're awake, did he- oof!!" He grunts when you hug him, lifting him up and swinging him around slightly. "B-boss!" He manages. You set him down.

"So this is why you haven't been calling! And look at you! You clean up good Gin!" You chuckle cheerfully.

"You think so?" He chuckles sheepishly. You nod, patting his shoulder.

"Yep! Now, lets eat!" You chuckle.

You spent the day with them, laughing and going around town to visit old friends. You felt at home again, smiling broadly. Of course it wouldn't last long, not as long as you're linked to the School of Madness. You were on the way back to your apartment when your phone started to go off.

"Hello?"

'___! Where are you!? Law is-'

'Get everyone down stairs!'

'Sabo!' BOOM!

"Luffy!? Guys!? Someone!!" You gasp. The line goes dead. Smoker looks at you worriedly. "Sorry Gin! We have to go!" You tell him as you and Smoker run to the motorcycle.

"What's going on!?" Smoker asks.

"I don't know! Just please hurry!" You tell him, holding on to him. Smoker nods and speeds off.
