Of course you were worried. Just what the hell happened? You were sure Law was back to normal. And what was that explosion? Was Sabo okay? You press your forehead between Smoker's shoulder blades. He puts a hand over yours to comfort you.

"They're going to be okay," He breathes. You tighten your arms around him.

"I love them Smoker, they're all important to me," You confess. His eyes widen a bit and he smiles, releasing a breathe.

"I know, it's nice to hear you admit something like that," He tells you. "Now hold on, I'm gonna be breaking the law for a bit," He adds before speeding up. You close your eyes as a tear slips out. Yeah, something like that was not something you admitted to anyone. The confession of love was a ultimate sign of trust for you. Especially what happened years ago...

"Everyone! Get back to the hideout!" You call, dodging a bullet and firing your own. Your gang nods, rushing off as the deputy draws closer.

"You're not getting away this time Road Demon," He growls.

"Watch me Akainu-cha," You smirk, backing up. Wait for them to get to the bikes. Wait. You shoot a gun out of a policeman's hands. More shots are fired and you barely dodge them. Few more seconds.

"You're quite sure of yourself," He comments darkly. He was giving off a very unpleasant aura. "Bring him out," He orders. You pause, raising an eyebrow. A familiar face comes around the corner.

"Donovan?" You breathe in confusion. He smiles at you.

"Surprise, love," He chuckles, approaching steadily.

"Wait... Why are you here? You said you-"

"Had to go put down someone?" He finishes. "That's what I'm doing here silly," He chimes, grasping your chin.

"Me?... But I thought-"

"That we were in 'love'? Heh, that was your mistake Love... Someone like you can never be loved, only used... Now I have no more use for you... And I'm here to put down the demon," He breathes against your lips, pulling out a gun from behind his back.

You never did recover mentally, but if one good thing came out of it, it was the fact Smoker had been placed to guard your hospital room after the incident. Garp put him there to protect you from Akainu's and Donovan's cruelty. Also to help you heal. That's how you met the young cop. After everything you became humble, mostly. You gave up the gang to Krieg because Gin said he was a good leader. And you, never told someone you loved them again as well as stopped believing in love...

You ran onto campus with Smoker and stop, gaping at the large hole on the third floor. "What the hell!?" You gasp, running up the stairs with Smoker close behind. "Law!!" You call, once you hit the third floor. Luffy peers out his room and runs up to you, hugging you tightly.

"You're back!" He gasps.

"What happened?" You ask, when only Zoro and Ace come out to greet you with solemn expressions.

"Some cop came to your room and Law attacked him and..." He trails off.

"There was a huge fight, Sabo tried to get everyone out but he got hurt... And then Kid got involved..." Ace tries to explain further.

"They have both been taken to Impel Down," Doflamingo rumbles behind you. You turn back, going pale. "They will be executed in five days," He informs you.

"WHAT!?" You demand, tears coming to your eyes. He walks up and kneels before you. "Why? Can't you stop them!?" You ask as he cups your face.

"No... But if you wish, I can give you the means to save your friends... So don't cry," He assures, wiping away the escaping tears.

"Thank you!" You gasp, hugging his neck. He hugs you back and stands.

"Gladius," He prompts, releasing you.

"Yes principal," The steampunk man says before briskly leaving. Doflamingo tips your chin.

"Smile ___, and get those willing to help you out, you're going to need a lot of friends." He says before leaving you alone. You watch him go before pulling out your cellphone.

"Gin, the 'boss' needs a favor," You tell him before hanging up and turning to the others. "So... Who wants to break into a maximum security prison with me?"
