《The Ninth Eeveelution》The Big Red "R"

Ash wanted more training. When does this guy not train? We just did the gym battle yesterday. I was forced to come with them again, as usual. We found a battle arena (which Ash had to pay for) and starting training.
"Greninja! Use water shuriken!" Ash shouted. Greninja balled water seemingly pulled from the air and launched it at Pikachu. Pikachu dashed to the side, but the shuriken followed. Pikachu resorted to using quick attack and jumped high into the air and backflipped over the projectile. The water shuriken circled back around to Greninja and it caught in with one hand.
"Awesome!" Ash shouted. "Good work!"
Greninja and Pikachu exchanged moves and attacks, but nether could gain any ground on the other.
"Pikachu use thunderbolt!" Ash yelled. As usual, a sharp, yellow aura enveloped the rodent as a bolt of thunder shot out with a cry from Pikachu. Greninja jumped forward above the bolt, causing it to ark upwards. Greninja charged a small amount of water and tossed it behind him into the bolt. It diverted towards the water as Greninja came up in Pikachu's face. Pikachu, still using thunderbolt, couldn't move or react as Greninja swung a water shuriken at him.
At that exact moment, I decided to completely rig the battle against Greninja for fun. Because why not. I like messing with other beings.
I silently used psychic and nudged Pikachu a little backward, causing the point blank water shuriken to miss. Pikachu's aura dissipated and Pikachu used iron tail and hurdled himself at the exposed frog. Pikachu nailed Greninja in the chest, sending him to the ground, making a small crater.
Pikachu landed a few meters back from the crater. He stared at it intently. The dust that had been thrown up was a thick smoke. Shuffling and stepping could be heard inside.

Suddenly, a dozen water shuriken cut through the cloud straight to Pikachu, flying obscenely fast. I think the cloud actually worked in Greninja's favour, as it gave him time to charge up a very powerful move. Clever.
Pikachu had no time to react to the projectiles, and he just stood there as the shuriken screamed in the air.
Of course, I quietly used psychic again and forced the shuriken away from Pikachu. They crashed into the walls of the arena.
I chuckled a little as Ash spoke.
"I think that's enough, we're getting sloppy."
Greninja returned to it's pokeball as Pikachu ran up to a random bench and sat down.
"I'll get something to eat!" Ash yelled back as he ran off the arena.
??? POV
"On three, we get 'em." a voice whispered.
"On three or after three?" A second voice asked.
"Exactly when I say three." the first voice said. "It isn't that hard to figure out."
"Sorry, sir." A third voice said.
The figure aimed the cannon to their target. It was loaded with a metal net, strong enough to lift a Wailord.
"Start descending." the first voice ordered. The hot air balloon began to drop through the clouds.
"Secure the ropes." the first voice ordered again. A pokemon and a figure strapped a metal device to a long, black rope and clipped it to their arms.
"One... two..."
The large arena below became visable.
"Three!"
GHASTEON POV
"Three!"
I heard a faint shout above me. I looked up, only to be greeted by a large metal net. It hit me square in the back and knocked me off the bench as the wrapped itself around me, knocked all the air out of my lungs. I whinse in pain as I drop onto the rocky ground.

"Ghasteon!" Pikachu shouted as he jumped from his bench, running towards me.
But before he could close the distance, two figures dropped down from above me. One a pokemon, one a human. My head was being forced into the ground, and I couldn't move at all. Not even my head.
"Sorry, but we'll be taking this!" the pokemon said as I felt myself being lifted. the two laughed as their ropes began to bring them up.
Pikachu looked around, seeing no trainer in sight.
"Sorry Ash!" he mumbled. He used thunderbolt without Ash's input and struck the human on the rope. It created a ton of black smoke, which the human rose out of unharmed.
"Uh! Uh! Uh!" she teased, putting up a finger and waving it side to side.
"These new lighting rods protect us from your every attack!" the pokemon bragged.
Ash ran into the arena, out of breath.
"Ghasteon!" he shouted. But the cover of clouds obscured my vision and soon the surface disappeared completely. I was lifted by my captors onto a basket of a hot air balloon. I examined their faces.
One had blue hair with a black and white uniform, with a red "R" placed on his chest.
The figure that had dropped with that rope had gravity-defying pink hair and ear rings, with an almost matching white and black uniform.
The man that lifted me onto the basket had grey hair (that looked more normal than the others) and a black trench coat, with a white shirt underneath with the same red logo as the rest.
The pokemon was a meowth, with a golden plate upon it's forehead.
"Good work" the grey figure said. The others cheered as the man in the trench coat took out a needle.
"Sleep." he said as he jabbed it into my neck. It felt like I was being stabbed, and I tried to struggle inside the net, but it was no use. My world began fading, and the last thing I saw was the evil smirk of the grey haired man.

The Core And The Wardens of Eternity
What is the Core, they asked me... It's the light that pushes the darkness away, a bastion of justice, a safe keeper of life. It grooms love and tolerance, embraces science, fights ignorance, sentences it to die a slow and tragic death. The Core... it's something that can't be destroyed for destroying it is to terminate the time and space itself. When the stuck-in-a-dark-age world of Zanria goes offline, the Core sends one of its experienced agents to find out what is going on and to try to reestablish a mysteriously severed connection. However, all his training and experience might come way short as the world sinks in war and chaos with different races and clans fighting for the Star of Bardan, the ward rumored to possess enough supernatural power to create and destroy entire worlds. *** I just changed the name of the series, from 'the Nexus' to 'the Core'. Somehow it just sounds more right to me. This is the first story, and it has a medieval fantasy setting. But, eventually, this is going to turn into Isekai series with elements of LitRPG. So, my future books might include worlds with advanced technologies that might be more in SciFi, including Steampunk, genre. The first book might start slow, but after a few chapters, it should all be properly set up, and by then you should get the feel of how it will all flow. Also, I plan to introduce different story threats that should spread out and criss-cross in the future. Hopefully, I will not complicate it too much, and that it will all read good. I am planning to continue to add chapters to the main storyline here, but I'm also starting a new story threat in the Core series called The Recordings of Raan. There is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.
